I went in to shop only. I test drove a 2011 Prius which I did like. They were doing everything to get me to sign then and now, despite my personal situation. I’m a widow with a temp job. I lost my car in a horrible accident and State Farm is taking their time in getting me settled…I don’t know my budget at this time. with the offer I got, I would be in debt for more than I felt comfortable with. If I were a more easily swayed person, I would have been in terrible trouble if my job does not come through. They didn’t care about that. they presented me with a document which clearly read purchase agreement and told me it wasn’t a purchase agreement. when I said repeatedly I was not ready to commit, Pete brought in the manager to further pressure me.
when I looked up comparable vehicles online I found the price was about 4000 over their asking price.
I know these guys have read “Getting to Yes”, but their techniques were so aggressive and egregious that they not only lost the sale, they lost a customer for all time. I would never go back their, if for nothing else for being treated as if Im a stupid woman.

I brought my 2004 Scion Xa in for inspection. Got a call stating that a light bulb was out on the left rear and that it had to be replaced. They replaced the bulb and when I picked up the car, both my left rear turn signal light and reverse lights were inoperable. These worked fine when I originally took it in. It was after 6pm when I picked it up, so service was already closed for the day. Called them up and told them that I had found that not only was my reverse light and turn signal not working the way they should, but that my turn signal lamp would light when the car was put in reverse and that I needed the car and wouldn’t be able to get it back in until the next weekend. The next weekend comes and I put it in the shop again. Got a call back from Brad stating that the circuit board to my back left lights was faulty and that it needed to be replaced. The part cost $160 and with labor it would be $240 to fix. I got very upset at this point and explained to him that this was all working fine until they changed the blown out bulb the weekend before. He said that the testing showed that the circuit board was faulty and that the part would take a week to come in. He then stated that it must have been a coincidence, but that I could wait until Wednesday to talk to the Green Team since they were the ones that worked on my car originally. I told him that I would just pick up my car and wait to talk to the Green Team on Wednesday. I picked up my car and took it home and decided to look at it myself. I flipped the break light bulb housing around to connect the housing circuits to the opposite bulbs and what do you know, everything began working as it should.
This is complete incompetence. One mechanic installs the bulb incorrectly to create the problem and then another mechanic fails to diagnose the actual problem leaving me to figure it out on my own. I have taken my cars here for regular maintenance and everything has been fine, but of the three times I have brought my car here for mechanical issues outside of regular maintenance, they have wrongly diagnosed the issue and wanted to charge me for things that didn’t need to be fixed. The first time I had an issue with the gas cap sealing properly on my Camry that I used to have and they fixed some valve in the fuel injection system that didn’t need to be replaced. Then when the check engine light came back on, they tried to say it was a different problem again until we complained to someone higher up who admitted that it was the same error and refunded out money.
They did however fix an engine coil problem in the Scion correctly, but that is 1 out of 3. Not a very good record. This place is ok for regular maintenance, but I don’t think I will be taking my car back here for mechanical issues.
We are terribly sorry for any misunderstanding. We want to make sure that any possible negative issues are resolved quickly. Please give me a call so I can personally apologize and resolve this situation. Thanks, Pete Paznokas, Operations Manager, 484.984.4965
At my 30,000 mile check up the dealership recommended that I have a Transmission Flush to the tune of $170. Since my sister had one done in the past which ended up in her having to replace the transmission, I knew to be wary and a subsequent internet search confirmed that. When questioned further they told me that “Toyota recommends it but it is at the customer’s discretion” . The customer service department at Toyota told me that was not true and that it was a money making venture on the part of the dealership… That is the last time I will have anything to do with Tri County Toyota! 😡
One of the worst experiences yet here. Brought car in for oil change & tire rotation. Changed for a full service (fill fluids…). OK I thought, maybe I needed it. Got home and was curious as to what they did. Found out nothing was filled. Called CS. I had to drive back and wait for them to fill it in front of me (this was after I waited 1hr 40min from before). No apology and then had the nerve to ask when I want to schedule my next service.
PS Found out this happened to someone else.
I bought my car from them not to long ago the only reason I bought my car from them was because it’s a hard car to find I had been looking months for this car and this terrible dealship got it. First of all they promise me a great trade in value on my car which was bull, second they argue with me about the vehicle and about toyota certification claiming that what makes the price go up bogas. Third they didn’t have the second set of keys or manuel which took me a week to get my second set which was another ordeal and 3 weeks to get the manuel which were for the wrong year and plus they didn’t even include a folder. I got so pissed at the dealership I took off anything on my car that had there name on it which is pretty bad for me. I had ask for a valet key because I like havign a spare key in my purse of course they were going to give me one I had to go buy one not from them because they wanted 80 for the key not for the programing so I went to my regualar toyota dealership which they did the key with programing at the same price. I’ve never felt so disrecpeted from a car dealership they should be kissing you ass when it comes to buying a car. No wonder they weren’t busy.
Very horrible service. For more info on my experience, please visit my websote at
