Sunshine Ford sold me a 2005 Mustang with a known water leak. (This was proven by arbiration with the Better Business Bureau.) I left the car outside in the rain one time (yes with the top up) and the car filled up with 3″ of water on the passenger side. I had to take the car to Monroe Ford, the closest Ford dealer because it would barely run. Monroe Ford found a 3″ gap in the factory sealant. I returned the car to Sunshine and told them what happened and showed them the report. I was told by Sunshine Ford that any problem with the car was now Monroe Ford’s problem as they had attempted to fix the car. I was then told by the GM at Sunshine that because I didn’t bring the car back to them to be repaired it was no longer their problem.
The car continued to leak, stink of mildew and grow mold on the dashboard and on the kick panels. Three attempts to were made to have Sunshine Ford fix the vehicle along with numerous trips to Monroe Ford. (Monroe Ford also was not able to fix the vehicle, they claimed nothing was wrong with it.) I was told each time by the GM at Sunshine that I was trespassing and impeding on their right to do business and they were calling the police if I did not leave. Eventually the fact that the car leaked from day one was proven. After arbitration with the Better Business Bureau, Ford Motor Company was ordered to replace the vehicle.
In early April I returned to Sunshine Ford to recover the remainder of my extended warranty on my “lemon” Mustang. It is now June 14 and I have not gotten my money back as of yet. Ford customer service assured me that the ESP was cancelled approximately 7-8 weeks ago and a check sent to Sunshine Ford. A check that should have been returned to me.
AVOID SUNSHINE FORD !!!!! They have no idea what the meaning of customer service is. As soon as they get your money customer service isn’t even in their vocabulary. They claim to treat you like family, funny I can’t recall any of my family threating to call the police on me. Not only will they sell you a damaged vehicle, they will do their best to make sure that they won’t have to repair it. This dealership is one that seriously gives Ford Motor Company a bad name.
