If you want to feel like you really had to work to buy a car, if you want to feel lied to, if you want to have to worry about paying more money to the dealership weeks later, or you want to feel like the people you are talking to will be nice to your face then talk sh*t about you when you aren’t looking.. Well then Way Scarff is the place for you!
SCUMMY and DISHONEST advertising tactics, Salesman who are less than professional, and management that will down right lie to your face is what you will find at this dealership. The ONLY reason why we made a purchase here is because they happened to have the perfect truck with the exact options we wanted in a color scheme we wanted… If you know Ford you know that can be difficult with all the different packages they offer. I can say that I walked away from this deal feeling tired and unhappy with the service and professionalism we received. I will never, ever come back here. I will never ever let anyone I know ever purchase a car from here again and I won’t even give them my business for parts or services. There were so many things that seemed sketchy with this deal I will only list a few:
They told us that they wrote the wrong price on the tag that hung from the rear view mirror which still hung from the mirror several days later, so I find it hard to believe they let a $3,000 error sit in the window of a truck for several days. Then they told us that their pricing reflects all of the rebates possible taken off the list price (right, like everyone is going to be a senior citizen/college student/veteran/preferred customer/etc) Why advertise a price you KNOW is not going to be true for all of your customer base? That is just deceiving if you ask me. Then when we were negotiating pricing they tried to change the amount of rebate money taken off and the interest rate for special financing.. And when we told them it was incorrect and their website said otherwise they tried to tell us we were lying and we had to pull up THEIR OWN WEBSITE to show them what the special financing actually was! And of course the manager gives us the ‘I’m loosing money, you’re taking food off my kids table, I’m the victim’ pitch which always annoys me.. when we were trading in TWO vehicles for ONE so no matter what was happening with the deal they were going to walk away richer. My father and sister are both in the car business and I have bought, sold, and traded enough cars in the last 5 years (12, but who’s counting right?) that I know how this game is played. And Way Scarff plays a DIRTY GAME! Finally, we got a bill in the mail two weeks later asking for a check for $177 because they didn’t have enough money to pay off the actual amount that was left on our cars. Why in the heck would you not get a correct pay off amount from the financial institution you are paying off!? Really!? After reading other reviews I see that this seems to be a common practice for them. That the contract you signed (you know the ten million pages of fine print no one could actually get through reading without falling asleep or being a lawyer) says that it’s an ‘estimated’ pay off amount and you owe them the balance if its not a good enough estimate. If you ask me, that’s just wrong. Not to mention an indication that the business you are working with seems to be either too lazy or too incompetent to get the numbers right the first damn time. Looking back on the entire thing, I would have never gone here in the first place.
