I took my Nissan in for an oil change, was told I needed brake flush, coolant flush and an air filter replaced, fine. When I picked up my car from having these services done, I was told I had a hole rusted through my exhaust manifold and it would be very expensive to repair (“couple thousand dollars”) and I should take it to a shop like Midas and it could be done much cheaper. Leaving this service appointment, my car was making a new, constant, very loud humming noise. I called the warranty company and learned that this repair would be covered under my warranty. I called the service department back and was questioned about when/where I bought my car because they did not know I had a warranty, apparently they use a different warranty company. The service provider did not offer to bring my car back for repair and quickly got off the phone. When I called back, I was given the run-around “oh, Mike helped you before, he’s at lunch and will call you back,” which never happened. I called again the next day asking for the manager and was then allowed to make an appointment. When I brought my car in, with my warranty, I was told there was not a problem with my manifold (“you told your warranty company you had a hole in your manifold, that’s not true”), that a flange had broken or rusted and that was not covered under the warranty. I asked them not to do anything else. When I picked up the car, it was making a new rattling noise. I took it to a mechanic recommended by a coworker. Upon taking a cursory glance under the car and hearing the noise, he tells me not to return there, “they have disconnected your exhaust and broken the flange and it will need to be welded.” This is from a guy that had no stake in the car, he had already told me he doesn’t work on Nissan’s but would refer me to someone else. I am totally disappointed this MJ Nissan place was dishonest and crooked!
I took my Maxima to an Independent Garage,”BIG MISTAKE”. They didn’t take care of the problem and didn’t stand behind their work. I then called Alice at Michael Jordan Nissan, who set me up with an appointment. I brought my Maxima in to Michael Jordan Nissan and the Service Tech took one look at my vehicle, and diagnosed the problem instantly. Alice called me back and advised me of the problem and quoted me a price for the work. They really take care of the customer at Michael Jordan Nissan. If you want great service, always ask for Alice, she will look after you.
The Parts Department personnel were very knowledgeable. I wanted to add some accessories that I was unable to find aftermarket. They not only had them in stock, but they also told me that the Service Department could install them for me. The Service Department personnel were very friendly and helpful. They were able to install the accessories the same day. They told me that it might take some time and offered me a ride back to work. They also came back to pick me up!! I will definitely be a return customer!!
I just moved to NC and had a great relationship with my previous dealer. I can honestly say WOW! I never thought anyplace could be better than my last dealer but I was wrong. Friendly, professional, and a pure joy to work with.
I just bought my third car from Michael Jordan Nissan. The reason I buy cars from there is because of the service. They always treat me well. They know me by name. I can always trust what they tell me and I know the repair will be done right. You can not go wrong with them.
Alice the service writer was so sweet and helpful. When I have problem with my vehicle or need routine service, I call Michael Jordan Nissan and Alice. They get job done right and they stand behind their work.
Wanted to have a 90’000 miles service (= 600$, yes they are expensive at the dealership with the famous name) and a state inspection performed.
During the service they found plenty of other expensive things that needed to be done (steering system flush, injectors cleaned, break fluid exchange) = another $ 500
All that took them less than 4 hours to perform = $ 250 per hour – not bad.
Needless to say that they could not perform the state inspections because when they were done with everything else, they had raked so many error codes on the board computer that it would not pass inspection.
They wanted me to drive 50 miles and come back for a free state inspection.
They dealt me like an idiot and wanted to tell me that the error codes were my mistake, not theirs. I then had to tell them that I know what an error code is and that the car had no error codes when I brought it in. Their fault doing the inspection last not first.
They gave me a rental car.
They also said that they would refund me for an earlier unjustified charge. Yes, this is already the 3rd strike of lousy service with overcharges.
When I came to pick up the car, it turns out, that the have the biggest administrative mess you can imagine.
One employee wanted to send me off without paying; the other wanted me to pay the full amount (without the refund). When I inquired about the refund, they said it had expired because of the “statute of limitation”
I then made them aware that
a) their boss said that their would be a refund
b) that their so called “Multi Point Inspection” missed some important warning features that did not work (open door warning light does not work).
They then started to explain me (as if I were an idiot) that it is not the light bulb but the door sensors that went bad and that they would be happy to quote me a replacement on that.
=> turns out this is another lie – unlikely that the sensors of all four doors stop working at the same time. Must be the bulb. Again: if they had turned the key on the car, they would have noticed that the warning light is not working.
Then it took them a while to find my vehicle registration
Then they had a “take home kit” on the bill they did not know what it is and where it is.
I left – will never go back.
Thinking of it, I should have just followed the first employee’s instruction and left without paying.
I had a couple of loose u-joints on my truck and took it in to get them replaced. First they charged me $98 to confirm what I already knew (which took about, oh 10 minutes to do). Then they proceed to tell me my entire drive shaft needs to be replaced, and it will cost around $1000. I’ve spent a good part of my life working on cars and knew they were lying out their ass. They were literally trying to rob me. The customer service was awful; the guy I interacted with was a complete jerk and utterly incompetent. I can’t believe they are still in business. I am shocked they are still in business as I can’t imagine anyone having a good experience there. Oh, I went to another place and had the u-joints replaced in less than an hour for a fraction of the cost. Michael Jordan Nissan is filled with mendacious, thieving crooks… do yourself a favor and stay away or you will be royally screwed.
We were looking at a 2008 model and thought we had agreed upon a price. When I went to sign the paperwork they had added 12 months and the coresponding several thousand dollars to the purchase price.
It was the typical, sleazy car salesman experience. No wonder there was no one shopping there. The finance guy was throwing the papers down with little explanation trying to get me to just sign without reading them. I honestly believe they were trying to rip me off in the hopes that I wouldn’t notice the different terms.
What a greeeeat job. I know I sound like a ad, but they care about the customer. When no dealership in the triangle would give me a chance they came through. I was met right away with smiles, introduced right away to the management staff. I explained my problems and they told me to pick out a car and they would make it happen. The manager that really worked with me was Chick Kennedy what a god send!! What I was told were problems from other dealers he said was just hard work and he got me riding. Thank You soooooo much MJ NISSAN!
THANK YOU CHICK
