I have been a Haley Toyota customer for many years and I have never been treated as poorly as I was today. I dropped my car for an inspection. I had been told (phone call prior to going to Haley) that the shuttle would be there when I got there…(it was quick lunchtime drop off), so I hurry to Haley. I got there and was told the shuttle guy just left. I told the girl checking me in that I was told he would be here… Service Person, PETE speaks up and says to me (condescendly), Ms. Weeks, you’ve been coming here long enough to know the shuttle runs as is needed. I told Pete I understood that, but I had been told otherwise. He proceeded to be nasty, telling me I was nasty everytime I came in there, etc.(which I am not)!! I asked him NOT to speak to me like that. He said if you have a problem, you can speak to my manager, PENNY. I did talk to Penny (right in front of PETE). When I first started to talk to Penny, Pete was on the phone and pointed his finger at me with anger. While I was talking to Penny, Pete interrupted and starting yelling at me saying he didn’t say this or that. PENNY basically took up for him saying he’s not like that. In all the years, I have been going there, Pete had always been nice to me. NOT TODAY!!!! I now feel uncomfortable with Haley. If they think I’m a bitch….why do I want to go back? AND, why would an employee be allowed to talk to a customer in that way? PETE was out of line and I do not appreciate it. I will tell everyone I talk to about this experience with PETE/HALEY. This is my 4th Camry bought from Haley and it will be my last. I will NOT purchase a vehicle from a dealership that allows customers to be treated like this!! I also have a call into Hoyt (the Manager) and this will be discussed further with him.
