Robert Zoffer is really awesome, I work in customer service myself and he is just great.
Completely satisfied with service and give you all high marks. My advisor, Joe, did a great job and was very prompt in returning my calls.
Dennis Daley, Green Team, David and Marsha were amazing, as usual. Customer service at Ferman’s BMW is the best, especially if you have an older BMW. Thanks again to all.
Keep up the good work! John took great care serving our needs. The sales process was smooth and easy. I would rate the sale and finance process a 10!
This has been a wonderful and easy experience. I was scared with building the car but every step of the way there was an associate to help us.
The overall experience was great, the only thing I can think of for improvement is at least have one of each type of vehicle available for test drive. The one that was missing for me was in the 750 Hybrid.
Sounds as though Ferman,s on a downward spiral? surprised they don,t start filling in these reviews themselvesLOL!
Moved from the Northeast down to TB area 2 months ago. Have a 2006 5 series in mint condition and needed very minor repairs which took 4-5 hours to diagnose 2 weeks to get parts and get car in again for repair, 2 days, car rental, wrong part excuse after excuse…outcomes very poor car now is a rattle trap in cabin because they took everything apart.
Gave them another chance this week car is still in for window washer nozzle repair $85 for the parts 137 dollars labor for 1 hour everything is charged a minimum 1 hour…This is unheard of the repair is right in full site under the hood. Also still in the shop today (3rd day)there for the rear rattle from last visit and to replace a module in the trunk damaged by wetness in the wheelwell from a cooler spilling over which was my error but boy does Ferman poor salt in the wound! The price quote is 210 dollars for the TCM part and $400 dollars to reprogram, diagnose and install. Each time they charge a computer reprogram fee of 1 hour $137 dollars…second reprogram job in a month. Robbery and I know it so I called other foreign service mechanic in Tampa for a price quote.. I spoke to the owner who called me right back and price of part plus 1 hour labor $labor rate of $80 dollars to diagnose, reprogram and install. Rear brake quote which I need next was half the price of Ferman BMW with all OEM parts, oil service 104 dollars with full undercarrage inspection included. Now that is fair and reasonable and they have the same computer reprograming equipment as BMW
I miss my dealer in North Haven CT who were competent mechanics and could fix the car right the first time and charged by a service guide on how long the repair should take not by rookies who are learning to be mechanics.
I complained about the service labor costs last time and he said that they are management driven and service advisor made a joke out of how outrageous costs are! Service advisor told me he is learning everyday, had no experience in auto repairs and was in the service previously. WOW!
I plan to give this car to our daughter and buy a new one this spring. Not only will I not buy the new car from Ferman but will be taking vehicle to Autobahn for all future repairs. Take a moment and read their customer reviews…real and honest mechanics. Advise from a 59 yo guy who has owned 4 BMW’s and 3 Mercedes STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER, they are BOZO’s! and will rob you without a gun!
requested quote from Mary, and her supervisor Jeff, and they kept putting me off. I test drove two vehicles, and was ready to deal cash right after the Holiday. What ever Happened to “Let,s make it happen”. Customer was left out in the cold at this dealership.
Did not buy an auto as represented. Nor would I ever. Their e-mail response was that they were to busy to get back to me for a quote.”Can you Imagine”
Ferman did a great job working on the deal and has done a great job servicing my 650i. They are one of the best dealers I have worked with over the years. This is my tenth BMW purchased from 5 different dealers.
It was an enjoyable experience. Mr. Mack is the best! He was friendly, honest, and helped me make the right decisions based on my needs. Frankly, he listened to me.
It’s always a pleasure to work with BMW people and Ferman is terrific! Both professional and courteous
Not only did I find no pressure from my salesman, Steve Phillips, he showed me what was available which I purchased on the spot. He is knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. I have never dealt with a salesman/dealership who treated me the same as if I were the most important customer they had. All of the small problems (not mechanical) I had were immediately taken care of, and when a loaner wasn’t available, they had a rental car for me. I would never purchase an automobile from another dealer. I love my BMW and the way in which I was treated at Ferman Palm Harbor.
I am thoroughly happy with my car purchase (BMW 535i). My experience with Ferman BMW was excellent. My salesman, Steve Venden, was professional, knowledgeable, thorough and patient. I really feel like he went the extra step to make sure I was satisfied with my car purchase. Would definitely purchase from both Ferman BMW and Steve again. Excellent experience. Love the car!
Buying a car is verystressful. Mr.Venden at Ferman BMW of Palm Harbor was probably the only salesman I have ever dealt with thatmade me feel comfortable, relaxed and trusting. His friendliness and honestlywere genuine. He new every inch of the three completely different cars I testdrove He answered all the questions clearly without hesitation that I hadconcerning the quality, features, and financing of a BMW. I could not have asked for bettercustomer service. He is anoutstanding salesman that I would certainly buy another car from as well asrecommend my friends to. In all the times I have had to purchase a car, Mr.Venden truly made this the best experience and least stressful I have ever had.I am sold on BMWs and do not see me ever purchasing any other type of vehiclethanks to Mr. Venden.
My experience with Ferman BMW has been very satisfying. Steve is a friendly, knowledgeable sales person ; very prepared and available. Goes out of the way to accommodate you.
great dealership; good service and friendly professionals who treat you right.
Keep it up guys!
Shri Goyal:)
Having been treated in what I would call a disrespectful manner at another Tampa BMW dealership, especially for a repeat new car buyer, I was totally impressed with the courtesies extended to me by both the sales professional as well as the sales manager in coming to a happy trade in and new car purchase. The sales manager also went above and beyond in working with BMW corporate in honoring the 2011 Drive event rebate offer. I am totally impressed with how hard they worked to make my shopping experience a pleasureable one.
Of the many BMW’s I have owned, my current one is the first purchased at Ferman. Although the sales person was great (and no longer working there), everything after that has been one hassle after another. The biggest thing to consider when buying a BMW is the service department of that dealer. Because that is what you have to deal with from that point on. And at Ferman, customer service is NOT a priority. I don’t even think it’s on their radar. And once your car is out of warranty, good luck! That last thing you want is to use Ferman for any service or maintenance. They have a hard time fixing anything on the first try! I have had to bring my car back to have the the same repair/issue after a couple months on several different occasions (and for various issues). Yes, several. Unacceptable customer service for any dealer, but certainly for a BMW dealer. I never experienced anything like this with my other BMW’s. Unfortunately, I bought those in another state. That dealer was fantastic and had I not moved to Clearwater, I would never have left them! I will NEVER purchase another vehicle from any dealer with the Ferman name. The same goes for my entire family! STAY AWAY FROM ALL THINGS FERMAN!
This is the first time to Ferman BMW dealership and would rate my experience as average. I feel these reviews are important for potential costumers so they can make a choice of where to do business. Their Internet site allows you to make appointment on line but the information you enter must be told again to the service person when you get there. I was told they no ability to obtain that information from their own computer system. That seems scary when the computer is necessary to analyze the running of the vehicle.
Overall it was an average experience.
Horrible experience – Will not stand on word that was said 10 minutes back. Finally did not buy a car at this crappy place. These guys have no idea what customer service is and how to sell cars.
I purchased a 2007 Bentley Continental GT from Jack Price at Ferman Wholesale/BMW (deal 47369 on feb 27 09) for 94,799.95, which was paid through wire transfer. I found Jack through eBay and contacted him directly to negotiate the price. I was told that the car was immaculate and that they have a wholesale guarantee that if the car is not as describe they would void the sale. I did a car fax and auto check on the car. I was also sent info from Jack on how the car was already pre-inspected.

I was told that we would agree on the price, send a deposit, make payment and then I would bid on eBay at the agreed price. I sent the deposit & full payment by wire transfer. I told jack that I would still do a full Bentley dealer pre-purchase inspection when the car arrived. Jack reassured me that the car is perfect. The car arrived a week later and upon receipt I noticed that the engine was making weird sounds. In addition, the car had dents and scratches that were should not have been there given the descriptions from Jack. I contacted him right away to mention these issues. Jack told me that they would pay to have the scratches and dents removed. He was surprised to see the damage when the car left.
I sent the car to Bentley to have the pre-purchase inspection. The car had significant damage to it. They found that the undercarriage was heavily damaged through some sort of impact and had rusted. The damage even hit the brake line and exposed the line. They also found that the brake rotors & pads were heavily scored and needed replacing. They also found that underneath the rear of the car there was two holes cut out to attach a towing or bike rack mechanism. They also found that the windshield had a rock chip and other chips & scratches on the car. The car also had multiple spots where the paint’s clear coat was peeling. They mentioned that the front bumper was removed ad then replace with non-standard Bentley screws & nuts, which are now rusted. The wheels of the car are worn on the inside edge to where they should be replaced. Overall, they said that the damage would cost about $9-10k to repair.
I contacted Jack to request that they void the sale. I am not interested in a car with so many issues / stories given the price that I had paid for the car and how it was described to me. Jack turned me over to Jeff Stern, his manager. Jeff told me that returning the car is not an option. I showed Jeff the ebay auction and the link to the ferman site to show him the guarantee. He later told me that we did’t do the deal through ebay so it would not apply to me. Up until this point both Jack and myself were conducting the deal for the point of ebay. This was the first that I had heard of this and told that the auction was closed. I told Jeff that the auction and the ferman site listed above is how the deal was presented to me and thus should apply to me. I spoke with Jack who then told me that even if the guarantee applied, he would just take the negative feedback from ebay and not void the sale.
Jeff told me that I only have 3 options: 1. Use the 500 towards the car repair, 2. Pay for the repairs myself or 3. Sue them. I was appalled and shocked that he said this to me. This is no way to do business.
Jeff suggested that we work with a friend of his who works for a dealership Los Angeles to do the repairs at cost on the car. However, they would need the car for a few days and that I should drive it to them. Jim needs the car for a few days so I shipped them the car and told Jeff that it would be unreasonable to drive from where I live in Berkeley, Ca. I was quoted the cost of the repairs to be $2,892.50 including the cost of shipping. The repairs exclude replacing the wheels or the brake rotors & pads. Jeff has told me that he is only authorized to contribute $500.
Their contribution to the repairs of the car is not acceptable and an insult me. I was lied to and the car was misrepresented. I have been told that Ferman’s GM, Peter Gulotta is angry and wont contribute more to the repairs because had a higher offer for the car after I sent the deposit.
Buyers Beware! For the amount I paid, I shouldn’t have to have any of these issues. If they would do this on an expensive used car, I can’t imagine what they would do to other buyers of used or new cars. Their verbal promises mean nothing and their written promises mean nothing. I have put everything I have into this car or otherwise I would sue them.
Attitude from the word go. Treated my wife and I like yesterdays trash. No knowledge on current specials or financing deals. Ended up buying an American car.
Work with Steve Phillips and then you will say “he treated my wife and ME like VIPs.”. There is no better dealer than Ferman.
