Extreme Astronomical OVER THE TOP SUPER HIGH prices for their mechanic services, compared to what other skilled mechanic shops charge. They claim to give you a discount, but the discount amounts to zilch. Called several mechanic shops who perform Wheel Alignments and there prices were 50-65% less than Paramus Hyundai. Prices from other professional mechanic shops ranged from $70-$129 for a Wheel Alignment. Paramus Hyundai wanted to charge me $175 for a Wheel Alignment, and guess what,,, if in 1,2.3,4,5,6 months you need another Wheel Alignment, you will pay Paramus Hyundai $175 again, again, and again each time. I could of chosen one of the mechanics i called and paid $70 for a Wheel Alignment. Which is an excellent price, and way way way better and cheaper than Paramus Hyundai’s price of $175. However, I ended up going with Pep Boys Auto Repair Service instead, who offered different Wheel Alignment Extended Plans that made more money saving sense to me.
Most Car owners will need to have a Wheel Alignment performed on their vehicles 2 times a year. More, if you hit a real nasty pot hole on the road and or drive regularly on streets and highways riddled with pot holes and pavement imperfections.

3-months $89.99 (with coupon) meaning you pay $89.99 and can go back within those 3 months anytime you want, and you won’t be charged anything for subsequent Wheel Alignments.
1-Year Wheel Alignment $99.99 (with coupon) meaning you pay $99.99 and can go back within 12 months anytime you want, and you won’t be charged anything for subsequent Wheel Alignments.
3-Year Wheel Alignment $119.99 (with coupon) meaning you pay $119.99 and can go back within 3 years anytime you want, and you won’t be charged anything for subsequent Wheel Alignments.
Lifetime Wheel Alignment $149.99 (with coupon) meaning you pay $149.99 and can go back anytime you want for a LifeTime, and you won’t be charged anything for subsequent Wheel Alignments for a LifeTime..
Paramus Hyundai is always trying to upsale customer, to buy into other mechanic services that are not needed to boost up their profits. Which to me is untrustworthy. I mean with most reps their you feel it, you see it, and understand it’s all about how much money they can get out of your pockets. Most harsh for me, is their mechanic services in many areas are 99.99% of the time going to be 50-60% higher than what other qualified mechanic shops offer. I wouldn’t mind Paramus Hyundai trying to upsale me to buy into other mechanic services that are not needed, if there prices were in line with reasonable pricing offered by other professional mechanic shops in surrounding or adjacent areas. I had to rate them a 1 star on price, because system here offers that as the only lowest rating, but the truth is for the prices Paramus Hyundai charges for service the rating is zero minus zero.
There are many other not so nice service concerns, and or otherwise other concerns i experienced with Paramus Hyundai, but i won’t address them here. But part of my concerns involve quality of work done on my vehicle in the past. Hence my reason, i am giving them 1 star for quality of work.
Lastly, watch out if you plan on buying a Hyundai Tucson, there is a engine lag that is quite disturbing that happens with that vehicle. Hyundai Paramus as well as techs from other Hyundai dealers have indicated to me “that is just the way the engine is”. The Engine lag pertains to for example, if your at a red light and hit the gas to go, the car will at times rev up super high and won’t move anywhere, or only move at high rev when you let up off the gas pedal Kinda like a stick shift car. The response time is lagged. Normal cars when you hit the gas pedal it goes. The Hyundai Tucson will not go when you want it too all the time. Very discouraging, For some reason this started happening to my Hyundai Tucson when i hit about 20-30 miles, however it could happen earlier or later. The best way for you to see what i am talking about, is at a red light, when its time to go floor the gas pedal and you will see and experience the engine lag,. I spoke to numerous Hyundai Tucson owners and they all go through the same engine lag when attempting to move car forward from a stand still. Currently, I have since then purchased a BMW, and don’t have that problem to deal with anymore.

Received 2 sets of keys, one automatic and a regular key, MANAGER THREATENED TO CHARGE ME FOR A AN EXTRA SET OF KEYS(when I only got one).
MANAGER EXTREMELY RUDE TOLD ME THAT HE IS THE HIGHEST PERSON TO TALK TO AND NOTHING I CAN DO ANOUT IT.
THIEVES, HORRIBLE SERVICe, GARBAGE, trying to find more adjectives for this SCAM PLACE. HOPE THE MAIN HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP CUT THIS GARBAGE PLACE OUT OF THEIR FRANCHISE.
The sales guys here completely took advantage of my mother in law, persuaded her into leasing car putting $8,000.00 down! On a lease. Convinced her that her current vehicle had a broken axle and was unsafe to “drive her granddaughter around in.” Swore the car fax said that axle was broken, swore the insurance company covered it up. When we attempted to reverse this heinous deal, we were told we were out of luck and her current vehicle was sold to “a person who was going to use it for parts.” Its truly ridiculous to even think that someone would take advantage of a 65 year old woman the way this establishment did. They should be embarrassed and ashamed.
Josue Alvarado, the finance guy and Manager Steve Amato and the GM Rocco, do not care about their customers. I purchased the key replacement, the tire hazard, the etching, and the warranty. I later cancelled the key replacement and the tire hazard. I was told I would have to wait 8-10 weeks for my pro-rated refund. After countless visits, calls, and emails, I have yet to receive a dime! It has been over one year!
They all say, the accounting department is at fault and they can’t do anything about it. They don’t care about their customer. Steve said he will tell one of the owners about it. No reply from him or the owner. I guess he doesn’t care either.
I was happy to walk out with my new car after trade in. Made easy. Vic and Managers worked with me to make sure I selected a car of my dreams. Thanks guys!! See you soon!!
A convenient dealership located on Route 4 Eastbound.
I was browsing through there small but yet efficient showroom, with about 6 different models on display.
A kind up-beat gentleman approached me with a big smile on his face and introduced himself as Gregory. I made sure to tell him i was just browsing, he replied make yourself at home, and if you need anything I will answer any questions that you may have.
Talk about professionalism. A few minutes had passed by and Gregory and I started chatting about the US OPEN.
His demeanor set the tone for the rest of my most pleasurable purchase. The dealership deserves recognition as one with class, integrity and most of all dignity.
Iam only writing this review due to the fact that i was on the verge of buying a Honda Civic. However, after visiting Paramus Hyundai I felt obligated to give back the courtesy that they had given to myself.
I have a great networking group and i will not hesitate to refer Gregory and Staff to my group of clients, friends and family……
