Thanks Speacialty Auto Sales in Suamico… You took my money and I still have no car…..You had plenty of opportunities to correct this and tried taking advantage of me. You lied, manipulated and did it without batting an eye! HORRIBLE PEOPLE. YOU ALL SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES. I will not stop warning people about your crooked business. I will tell everyone my “sob story”, as your wife/employee called it until your no longer running your “SPECIAL” business! Then you can share Your “sob story” about how you lost your business because you got caught being shady! You will be held accountable for your actions.
Thank you for your review. We ended up buying the car back from for the full purchase price and hope you have found a new vehicle that is treating you well. We are truly sorry for any inconvenience caused to you from this vehicle. If you ever need a few free oil changes please stop by, that is the least we can do for you. If you get this we would greatly appreciate a resolution response. Thank you again!
This is a horrible place. He sold me a car that has many things wrong with it. He told me it had a new power steering pump and when I got home it was making a terrible noise. Tried to call brandon and when we finally got a hold of him he hung up on my husband. 2 weeks later I find out there is a crack in my engine, a huge hole in the pvc pipe, the torque converter in the transmission needs to be replaced, and the heater core is shot so I have no heat. He told us he only buys the best cars from dealerships and it is fully inspected. Oh did I forget to mention he said he had a carfax for us and when we got there he couldn’t find it? I had a horrible experience and he is a horrible person. I will be contacting whoever gave him the right to inspect vehicles and I will also be contacting the Better Business Bearuo.
Thank you for your response to us. We value our customers and want to offer to help you if it is not too late. We took care of that power steering issue for you at no cost to you. If there are anymore issues that have come up, please just give us a call and we would be happy to help you with those. We also have your Carfax report re-printed if you would like to pick it up. Thank you once again and we hope to hear from you in the future.
Inquired about their ’98 honda. Buyers guide stated A/C was not equipped but the ad on their site said the A/C blew cold. Their site also stated that the car had 97,000 original miles on it when in fact it had over 160,000 according to the car fax report. Buyers beware!
The a/c DID blow cold after we showed you that you needed to hit the A/C button and the recirculation button to get it to blow cold. Also, we would never advertise incorrect mileage. That is a way to instantly lose your WI dealers license to sell vehicles. Carfax is not always correct, sometimes shops type in incorrect mileage when they take vehicles in for service. The WISCONSIN TITLE that you obtain shows ACTUAL mileage.
HORRIBLE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!. got there are the car we were looking at would not run right so brandon discounted it or so he said. i found that vehicle on his website AFTER I paid for it advertized at the “Discounted price” i had just paid for it. the ad said runs perfect!. brandon called me a liar and wouldent even look at the ad.
My parents went to look at a 2004 Acura RSX that Specialty Auto Sales had for sale. The advertisement states “6495.00 2004 Acura RSX. 2.0L 4 cylinder i-vtec engine with automatic transmission. Only 130,000 original miles! 1 OWNER!!! Non-smoker! MINT CONDITION INSIDE AND OUT!!!!!! New battery, new OEM oxygen sensor, new starter, recent BF goodrich tires, recent brakes, recent oil change, power everything including moonroof, keyless entry, cruise, tilt, Alpine CD player, and more! Kelly Blue Book PRIVATE PARTY VALUE is over 7500!”
The owner of the Auto Sales Store informed my parents that the Vehicle was one owner which belonged to his “ex-girlfriend” and awas involved in a small fender bender. After all the facts that the store owner had told them they were interested in purchasing the vehicle. They put downpayment cash to hold the vehicle until the next day when they can talk to a bank about financing. When they got home they pulled a Car fax On the vehicle. Turns out the vehicle has had 4 owners with EVERY owner being involved in a Major Accident resulting in a Major Loss each time. The vehicle does have a Salvage title, which was not informed to my parents.
My parents are refusing to purchase the vehicle now and Brandon will not refund them their money they put down to hold the vehicle. I called Brandon to discuss this issue and he was VERY rude, he told me, “Take me to court, I know I’ll win”. VERY RUDE way to do business. He also hung up the phone on me twice.
My dad went into the buisness to talk to him, he was very rude and went ot his office and slammed the door on them.
I called the DMV of Wisconsin and they said, “BY LAW” he has to indicate that the car has a salvage title because if the customer knew that it may have influenced their decision. We are in the process of filing a complaint with the DMV and they are going to investigate this issue. HE did break the law because his “add” on the internet and what was told to my parents was a lie. His add and the car fax have very conflicting information so I hope he is ready to deal with the LAW. He will face punishment from the DMV.
I HOPE HE LOSES HIS LICENSE TO DO BUSINESS.
THERE HAS BEEN 3 BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU COMPLAINTS ABOUT ADVERTISEMENT ON THE COMPANY, YET HE CLAIMS TO BE “BBB ACCREDITED” I WOULD BE EMBARRASED TO SHOW THAT OFF BEING SUCH A CROOKED BUSINESS MAN.
FALSE INFORMATION ON HIS VEHICLE ADD FALSE INFORMATION GIVEN TO MY PARENTS SALVAGE TITLE WAS NOT INDICATED AT TIME OF DISCUSSION TO PURCHASE VEHICLE HOW COME A CAR BUSINESS SALESMAN DOES NOT KNOW THIS INFORMATION ABOUT A CAR HE PURCHASED TO SELL????
Monday December 13th I found and add on craigslist for a car that Specialty Auto Sales had for sale. It was around 8pm that I called and I received an answering machine. I hung up. Not ten minutes later the owner, Brandon Hentges called me back. He was selling a car for $5,495. I asked him if he would take $4,200 because that was all I was looking to spend. He said yes but only if I came and bought it tomorrow. I told him I would come tomorrow and asked him how much I would have to bring exactly for tax, title, and license. I told him I live quite a ways away so I wanted to make sure we were good to go on it. I told him I would see him tomorrow. So the next day I got the cash and drove an hour and a half there. He wasn’t there but his assistant was. She called him. She told him I was there and he told her to tell me that he sold the car this morning but it wouldn’t go till Monday. She gets off the phone with him and she tells me that he told her that he talked to me last night and I offered him $4,200 but he wanted the full price.
So I waited for him to come back to the shop and he told me that I must have talked to his “brother” last night and that there was no way he could sell me the car for that cheap. He goes, “what number called you?” I got out my phone and said it’s the number for here…”YOU called me!” I lied and told me that he has no idea what me and his brother talked about but $4,200 was too low…sorry. I told him that he could have at least called. We told him it was bad business to go back on his word like that and he said it wasn’t his “business” that did it. I said, actually it is!! Even if your “brother” did it…he represents your business.
His assistant told us that he does this to people all the time. He’s told people that he will hold a vehicle till noon and then turn around and sell it in the morning because someone would offer $100 more.
3hrs on the road wasted… I was VERY upset. Not to mention I had the time spent at the bank getting the cash. GRRR :mad::mad::mad:
He is very shady and not true to his word.
If I were you I wouldn’t do business with him.
First of all, I have recorded conversations on all my calls here. I listened to the entire conversation between you guys and my brother. NOT ONCE was it mentioned that you guys were coming, you simply asked “are you going to be there tomorrow?” He replied “yes all day” THAT WAS IT! You no way implied you wanted us to HOLD the vehicle for you nor stated you were coming! Yes he gave you a total amount but that says nothing about you coming! We have a lot of people that ask for a total price, doesn’t mean they show up with cash at my door. All you simply asked my brother is if he would take the 4200+tax+title because that’s all you had to spend and he said yes. That doesn’t mean were obligated to HOLD the vehicle for you 1300.00 LOWER than our asking price with no deposit of any sort from you!
If I would of KNEW you guys were on your way I would of certainly had the common decency to call you and tell you it had been sold. I do not operate my business in any other sort of other manner not to do so. I know what it feels like, I swear 25% of the cars we plan to buy end up going down the route of “somebody offered more money sorry” I wouldn’t wish that on anybody or make them drive that far for nothing.
If you want to talk anybody down a price of vehicle, whether that price is agreed upon or not, its always a smart thing to call when you’re on your way to VERIFY that the vehicle is still here. You did NOT do that because I was here all morning and did not have a single call from you guys. Why would I hold a vehicle for a party that NEVER stated they were going to make the trip WITH CASH for the vehicle? You never even called us back to tell us you were coming! To prove that theory, the Audi was dirty from the blizzard we had here and not even washed that day! I would have at least washed it and cleaned it up if I knew you guys were on your way. If that was the case, I wouldn’t of even showed the car to the man that came in earlier that morning and had no problem paying full price.
As far as you spreading the word, that’s fine, because I honestly did not a thing wrong. With that recoreded voice conversation, I can say you’re a absolute liar when you state that you told us you were making the trip, nor was a time of your estimated arrival discussed. Nothing was mentioned on a day OR time, and you know it. I honestly feel this was not a mistake on our behalf what so ever. I know personally, if I was going to travel for a vehicle, especially a vehicle I talked down 1300.00 on the price, I’m going to make darn sure I call them to make sure they still have it BEFORE I come, especially if I’m traveling almost 2 hours!
Bergstrom is a great dealership and all, but they charge top dollar. Of course they’ll hold a vehicle for somebody. Because no matter who it is, they’re getting the same top dollar price. Even then, with Bergstrom or any other dealership, its highly unlikely for them to hold anything without a deposit. This is strictly common sense! You could have done this over the phone, via paypal, or any other way of transferring money. That would of then created a CONTRACT between us and made me liable to hold this vehicle for you.
I CAN COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND THIS. BRANDON IS A LIAR!!!!!! I DON’T KNOW HOW HE IS STILL IN BUSINESS. HE RIPPED ME OFF WHEN I WAS TRYING TO BUY MY CAR FROM HIM. HE TOLD US FALSE INFORMATION ON THE VEHICLE, EVEN AFTER HE KNOWS THE TRUTH.
