My experience with Johnson Kia started off a little rocky when we had to insist that we did have an extended warrenty that should cover a rental car. Eventually they did check with Kia to determine what warranty we had and what it covered. After I got the rental the rest went pretty well till it picked up my Kia Sedona 2004 and tried to shut the passenger side sliding door. That’s why I brought it in, the latch on the door had broken. The door did shut and latch, but only with a pretty firm push. I asked the service manager, Rick, about it and he took a look and immediately pointed out the dent on the side door and asked how it happened. I hate to say that I caused the dent on the side of my wife new Kia when the fence along the driveway I was repairing came loose and fell over on the car. I was hard-headed and insisted that the problem with the door had nothing to do with the dent. He patiently listened and agreed for the technician to take it back in and see what he could do to help me. All the while I’m still being a jerk about how it’s not the dent.
Anyway, they did their best to adjust the door and it did shut better, but it still isn’t perfect. I’ll be taking it to a body shop as they recommended to get the door right again.
Thanks guys for your help and for putting up with me.
