Very dishonest and deceiving from the sales people to the service people.
I am very displeased to hear of your experience. This does not in any way reflect our standards and practice of customer service first. If you will please contact me I would like to personally work with you and help you. Please contact me at your earliest convenience. I look forward to hearing from you.

Let me just say that this dealership is a nightmare. The sales manager Glen Riedel is the scoundrel and thief behind my purchasing nightmare. I first walked into Shore Toyota and was greeted by Nelson Vasquez. I had inquire about The FJ cruiser 2012 and told they did not have brand new 2012 (a big lie??). And Olti the number crunched guy also told me they did not have brand new 2012s and if I was interested in a preown. I don’t know how I was manipulated but ended up buying and signing for a 2008 FJ with 34,000 mileage for final price $29,000. After bringing it home for less than 30 min I realized there was rusty hinges and pipes and car sounded noticeably annoying loud so I quickly took car back for full refund and told all sales final and I signed for it. So now I had new sales person Blake since other sales persons left for the day. Blake tells me they have new 2012s. In order to get out of buying the lemon I rather have the new car. Glenn slapped on the bogus Markup Value Prive $2500, another bogus cargo price (in state of Nj??), other bogus fees brining the grand total to $42,000. To further put icing on the cake the salesperson Blake kept purposely misleading me telling me that I am paying for $37,000 and not $42,000. That place a nightmare. I went back next morning and was able to renegotiate with customer relations manager Ron to a final price $39,000. I could have purchased a Lexus with this price. I had called other dealerships with the same options I could have gotten car $5,000 less. This place is a den of crooks and the law allows them to swindle money from unaware people. I am so happy for all the other people who had a pleasant experience because I did not.
I am shocked to see these other reviews. I had a great experience with Shore Toyota. I submitted my information through their website, they called me back within 15 minutes, we went over what I wanted (options and pricing), and then I set an appointment with them for the next day. When I got there, eevryone was extremely nice and I bought the truck that we spoke about through the internet and over the phone. I was in and out within an hour. If you are looking for a quick, easy, and painless car experience – go through Shore Toyota. Ask for Rob in their Internet Department. he heads up the department and made sure everything went smoothly with my deal. He even gave me a free can of touch up paint for my new truck. BUYERS – Don’t worry about these other reviews. Shore Toyota served me extremely well. If you want the same service – just ask for Rob in the internet.
I was looking for specific model with specific options, was told that they had exactly what I wanted in stock on lot, I even called to double check. When I arrived I asked for the internet sales person I had corresponded with and spoke to on the earlier that day, was told she’s in her office we will get her for you right away. 15 minutes goes by and finally the sales manager tells me that she stepped out and that he would be happy to take care of me. Long story short they did not have what I wanted but super salesman was going to sell me a car, very deceitful dealer, would not by a tricycle from them. 😡
Also, most if not all the favorable reviews were most likely written by their sales department!
I brought my car there a year ago to get my axle fixed. Afterwards, it made a strange noise that they told me was all in my head. Also, before they fixed it, they forgot my car was there for an entire week. After I got it back my battery died the next die even though I had never had a problem with it. Last month my tire blew out taking out my break line. I took my car to Shore Toyota to get fixed and the technician accidentally told me that they did not put a Toyota axle in and that they put in wrong in dangering my life. After attempting to charge me for it, they “fixed” it, but after all that they tried to overcharge me by $200. My brake that they supposedly fixed is now making a horrific squealing noise that they could have easily heard if they had test drove it before they gave it back to me. They are terrible do not take your car there to get fixed
This is the worst dealership ever. They tried to see me a Toyota Camry for 4000 over MSRP. 1500 for bogus mark fee and 900 appearance package and 395 for doc prep fee (I was paying cash). They refused to discount the car which was a demo car with 5000 miles on the car so I left. I contact the internet department a few days later and after speaking with Phil Leone he promised they had 3 exact cars I was looking for. When I arrive Phil was no where around and would not come out. The sales manager came up and tried to show me the same used car with 5000 miles and a car with less options. 30 seconds later the original salesman came up and I was pissed. I got in my car and drove away. Don’t buy from these crooks. I brought from another Toyota dealership that had the same options for 6000 less.
the sales man was fine, the problem came when they sent the “deal maker” guy to the table. the buying process here is wierd for lack of better words. it’s so time consuming and draining. by the time you see the third person, you are so drained and exhausted that you are ready to take almost any deal just to get out of there. Even then, you will need to see at least 2 other people. if they ask you for your driver’s license, DON’T give it to them!! They will hold it so you can’t leave. I was ready to walk away after being there for 3 hrs and getting nowhere but when I stood up, I realized that they had my drivers license and i couldn’t go. Thats when the fees started coming off. They tried to add a $795 appearance fee (which is bs) they tried to add a $1500 market value fee (because the cars were desirable right now and because they only had a 14 day supply of cars rather than their normal 24 day supply, again, bs) and another fee of $395 that no one could tell me for what. so by the time they were ready to talk numbers, the sticker price on the car went up by over $2600! They treat you like a piece of s***. go somewhere else!!
Our experience with the first salesperson was fine. However, when it’s time to make the deal they bring in a different person who is the only one that makes a deal with you. He did offer me a price that was below the invoice price after I showed him a similar internet price that I had. I was also receiving the cash for clunkers deal. However, after we finalized a price, they added on over $800 for deal prep (typical), but also added on $2500 because they said that the RAV 4 was a car that was extremely popular and that they always added this price to their popular cars. I accepted this, but upon thinking about it , I feel this is very deceptive. They just added back the “discount” they gave me at the end of the deal!
After an exhausting day of price haggling I cannot believe this dealership ADDED $3000 to the sticker price when writing up the agreement of sale. Being exhausted and thinking we had reached an agreement, I cannot believe my weariness lead me to miss the most obvious scam. I never looked at the sticker price; glass was dark, couldn’t see it well but trusted the dealership . This salesman was so nice, ex serviceman al american guy…can’t believe I even bought his new baby a gift. How do they sleep at night? I just discovered this tonight; am now 4 business days out…Will try to seek guidance on whether or not I have any recourse but please beware…buy elsewhere. Please learn from my experience.
