My parents bought me a car from Reydel VW some years ago before I went to college. This beetle has given me a lot of good memories over the years and am sad to find out that VW will not be making the beetle anymore. I contacted over the internet on pricing on the new and final beetle edition and was quoted pricing from 3 different dealers. Reydel was the first to respond and also the best price up front. They dealt with me very professionally both by phone and email. I hope to go in soon to try and get the beetle before they are all Gone. My Family has 4 vw’s from Reydel and hopefully I will be picking up my new beetle this month.
Recently purchased a 2016 Touareg. Very pleased with the experience. Worked with Paul, Darius and Crystal who spent a lot of time with us reviewing our options and helped us select the right vehicle.
Low Pressure and respectful. Not the typical high pressure stuff. I have already recommended people to them..Thanks
From the moment I sent in my first email asking info on my now new Jetta it has been the best car buying experience of my life so far.
My local dealership wanted to charge me extra for a ridiculous doc fee, destination, etch, and believe it or not even $95 to wash car before they deliver it. LOL. Think of it. They charge customers to wash the cars. Huh??? Really???
Reydel was FIRST CLASS. Upfront information and no surprises. No extra stupid fees and above all no charges to wash my new car. I will send allot of business their way. Thank You Reydel VW of Edison
Terrible and highly priced service for VW. Left the car, they found many things that no other mechanic found, wanted to overcharge for parts and service, and then even broke my light. They did not tell me about the light and I had to figure it out. When I went back and complained to them about it, they were arrogant and wanted to charge me even more for the repair. On the top of their obvius service incompetence, their attitude is highly unprofessional (e.g. they will argue with you, talk down to you like a child, and even pass the blame after they break things).
I did not purchase my VW from Reydel, but always brought it there for regular service. I found the service team to be honest and fair. I recently brought my 04 Passat V6 in for a major service (timing belt). The job was done right and quickly, The price of the service was less expensive than another VW dealer closer to my home (I got estimates from both places before I brought it in). I am very satisfied with this and other previous services and repairs. The repairs were always done right the first time.
Sounds like a troll from reydel. Reydel is dishonest and overpriced.
Reydel put on new tires for the front of my 2003 VW Jetta Wagon – underinflated the front. My car was scratched up while they worked on it and then it looks like someone took a wirebrush to my bumper. Reydel rips people off. Finally, after having an independent mechanic look at the tires (Continental they sold me). Reydel gave me money back for one and left me with the other tire. Of course they offered to replace the bad tires but after that experience do not wnat them anywhere near my car. Although, I do use their parts department but never let them work on my car – not sure their techs know what they are doing.
My car was running poorly and the engine light came on. Brought it in to Reydel and was told it was the ignition coil and was charged approximately $800 for repairs. Two days after it being “fixed”, the engine was running as poorly as before I brought it in and the engine light came on again. I took it back to Reydel and they said it was an engine sensor and it would “only” cost me $230 to fix. I lodged a complaint with VW America to be reinbursed for the original repairs because that obviously wasn’t the problem. VW looking into it and agreed that the first repair was probably unnecessary, but still wouldn’t reinburse me.
VW doesn’t stand behind it’s customers and the techs at Reydel are poorly trained or just don’t care about doing the job right. With a labor cost of $99.60/hr, you would think they’d do things right the first time.
I’ll never buy a VW again just because of the poor service and high cost I continually encounter from Reydel VW in Edison, NJ.
Recently I purchased a Passaat at Reydel volkswagen, and the experience was outstanding! In fact, it was the best car buying experience that I have ever had. The sales staff was knowledgeable and extremely efficient. I normally have little patience but the staff made the sale cycle so effortless, that it became a real pleasure. I never felt any pressure when discussing the options for warranties, etc., and I got just the things I felt I needed at a good value.
I would highly recommend Reydel to anyone in the market to buy a Volkswagen.
Hello Howie11,
Just a quick thank you for your kind words. Drive safe and have a Happy New Year.
I found a car I was interested in on the web. Called, spoke to salesperson, who invited me to test drive the car. I drove AN HOUR AND A HALF from my house for a scheduled test drive. (Got wrong directions TWICE from them. If you’re not from Jersey, forget it.) When I got there, the car had magically been sold! Guess what: it’s still on their website. Won’t go back!!!
Diane,
We are sorry for the time you took out of your busy schedule to come here to see a car that was already sold. I know it sounds like a scam, but please remember that pre-owned cars are unique and the time it took you to get from home to here the car was sold. As for the car still be listed on the website, we remove cars once they are delivered not when sold. If by chance this car deal fell through we would have contacted you to come back and see the car. Please keep in mind, this was not a personal attack, it is only business and sometimes cars sell while in transit to see them. I know this explanation won’t make you feel any better, but again we do apologize.
