I’ve very recent bad experience with Acura of Riverside. I purchased a brand new MDX 2016 on 18th April and as of today 5th May haven’t received the paperwork to register my car with local DMV. Initial paperwork was done incorrectly so I had to send it back and after I signed corrected paperwork – I have yet to receive copies or bill of sale to register the car. At this stage, car is sitting in my garage and since it’s not registered I cannot drive it on the road. I’ve made several attempts to reach out to sales and finance folks via phone and emails but dealership hasn’t responded. It’s very disappointing experience which is still on going for me and my family. Also reached out to Acura client relationship to get dealer to respond and provide paperwork. Very unfortunate.
Went in for a oil change and was approach by a sales associate to trade in my car. She was a bit pushy but it was expected. Other than that,I have never had a bad exierence with acura maintence. I always deal with Alex or another gentelmen (i think Jose is his name). They are both nice and helpful enough. Neither of them make me feel pressured to spend more money. I never mind waiting for my car because they have nice waiting room with plenty of refreshments (Starbucks coffee or hot chocoate) and you can watch DIY while you wait. Although i do wish they would send more coupons for maintence.

Acura of Riverside never ceases to disappoint me. You always hear from people to never take your car to the dealer because they are dishonest and charge a lot. This has not been the case with Acura of Riverside. I have gone in several times thinking something was wrong with my car and they assure me I am just overly cautious. Wow! I would have gone along with whatever they said but they don’t charge me for things I don’t need. When I do get service, they always explain to me what’s being done. They never pressure me to get the service through them and they always give me enough time to research it on my own. Alex has normally been my service technician and he is awesome! Once I had my car towed to the dealer and I didn’t even have to show up. They took care of everything and called me when it was done! I love Acura of Riverside and will purchase my next car through them. I feel they are very honest and trustworthy. I never hesitate to take my car in. Thanks Acura!

I purchased a 2008 TSX. Being as this was one of the lower priced cars I still have been treated by Candace as if I purchased the RL brand new! Every time that I bring in my car for service I am treated like royalty by Wally and his staff! I will never own something different than an Acura because of the level of service provided by Acura of Riverside. Here is to their deserved success in becoming the #1 Acura Dealership in our State.. if not Nation!

Of all the Acura (and other) dealerships I visited in my car quest last month, the service from this dealership was by far the best in terms of price, service, able to answer questions about their own cars (most sales staff are clueless about their own cars!). I was even able to speak to the GM and he, along with his staff, provides outstanding Nordstrom-like service.

Only place I will take the car to get maintenance – sure a bit more expensive – but well worth the cost. They have fixed every thing we’ve needed done for a car with so many miles. Always great customer service!

Be careful, they will do everything to make a sale, but they do NOT care about you the moment you sign the contract. We bought Acura TL 20 days ago. At that time, they sold us a Lo-jack system for $1500. The finance officer even told us that she will activate the lo-jack for us at the time of purchase for us, so we have it in case somebody attempts to steal the car that night. She went online, we entered the info, password, all is set! Well, 2 weeks later, we decided to change some of the contact info on the lo-jack web site. Guess what-they do not know us, or the vehicle, it is not registered, and suggested us to call the dealer. The manager was very defensive on the phone, claimed that we are not owners of the vehicle (yet) since the bank documants are not processed yet and that we can not register with lo-jack until the deal goes through the bank. He said: I will chek on Moday and will call you to tell you what’s going on. Well, Monday came, and when I called back to ask the manager (Dan, I believe), somebody named Fred talked with me. I should have taped the conversation because this guy was extremely rude, he said Dan went to the emergency room with some health problem, and you have to call back on Wednesday!. I said I feel for Dan, but I still need to find out what is going with the lo-jack because that is a service I paid for and I would like to not delay the issue. Boy, was this guy ticked!. He was extremelly rude, almost telling me to go to hell, no option to discuss this issue,simply: ” Don’t you understand what I am telling you, call back Wednesday, I am not interested in what you are telling me etc… I told him I will be reporting this to the Acura headquarters, to what he simply replied: “Whatever, and: Do whatever you want”…I am still shaking when I remember that rude guy. I called the Acura Headqurters, they told me they will try to mediate between us and the dealership. Still waiting for solution to the problem.
My feelings: they ruined the whole car buying experience for us.
My advice: do not go with this dealer, and especially do not sign for anything besides the price of the car.
I found a 2007 MDX online with a decent price. I called 1 hour before and spoke to Stephanie to make sure that the vehicle was there. I gave her the model, mileage and VIN# of the car and asked her to “touch” it to make sure I didn’t waste my time driving from the San Fernando Valley with my wife and 4 month old daughter. She assured me that the vehicle was there and that “I can see it right in front of me.” I told her we were leaving right away.
So I loaded up my family and drove the 90 minutes there. As we pulled up, she had “conveniently” just left. We spoke to another salesman and manager and we told at first “Stephanie would be right back. When we asked to see the vehicle, we were told that it was “just sold last night, but would we like to see another?” We were upset and wanted an explanation from Stephanie, who we were then told wouldn’t be back for a few hours. They told us that she didn’t have a cell phone and couldn’t be contacted to explain herself.
This is a “bait and switch” if I’ve ever seen one. They were apathetic and laughed at us because we were upset. They were demeaning, condescending, and totally untrustworthy. They make other car salepeople look honest by comparison.
