The customer experience has been one of the worst ever. Over a month now and I still don’t have plates. I found it very strange when I was told by Pete and Mike that something happened with UPS and that they would get back to me about my plates. I was further told that they can’t issue another temporary plate because DMV would not allow it.
I’ve leased and owened many cars, Nissan, VW, Mercedes, Buick and never had such an issue. If the plates did not arrive before the expiration date, the dealer always gave me a new temp tag so that at the very least I can legally drive my new car.
Almost a week has gone by since my last conversation with the so called manager and salesperson and you guessed it, NO call back or plates. Even though I paid for them to register the car and get plates, I decided to call DMV only to find out that my car is not registered. So here I am over a month with a new car I can’t drive.
I would never recommend this dealer and their double talking, lying staff to anyon and I highly caution anyone who walks in that dealership. It seems that they will do anything to take your money and never deliver.
miserable customer service..very lament and poignant customer interaction
This dealership is a complete ripoff. TPMS light came on and had to be reset. This is supposed to be covered by warranty. After computer diagnostics they could not figure out the problem and wanted to charge me more money (after the initial $125} to continue. This all should have been under warranty. This dealership is out to screw everybody. I will never buy another Hyundai vehicle again.
Went to look at a 1999 Ford Escort. Price was !995 on website without tax and title, which I expected to be a few hundred more. Salesman spoke with a manager and came out and told me the car would be $5000 with everything including a $995 “internet fee”. The car also rattled and needed a tuneup. Now I see that the price on the website has been raised to $3995. What a joke!
After purchasing 5 Hyundais and recommending Hyundai to many other people, dealing with Freehold Hyundai has made me reconsider purchasing another Hyundai, or maybe it was just the dealership. When I took my car home, I saw all of the scratches that were being hidden on the car. Yes they did repair the scratches but I bought a new car not a damaged one. My plates were supposed to be mailed to my home but I got hyjacked for a $30 overnight mail fee because the plates were delayed at Freehold Hyundai and dealership never sent me the plates. Good sales pitch but make sure that you get everything written down.
My local mechanic told me that the problem with my Hyundai was the internal computor that had to be reprogramed by the dealer. When I told the servise manager that,he not only looked at me like I was the asshole, He told me that THEY would make that determination. He appeared to have practiced making faces in the mirrow to belittle me. Whoever the mechanic was that called me,confirmed what my local mechanic said. It cost me 900 hundred dollars to fix it.
This was this first time that I purchased a new vehicle in a long time. I liked the salesman. The Honda dealer next door really pushed me over to Hyuandai. I got more car for the money. that was a 2003 sonata that I purchased december 2002. I really liked the exprience. I am writing this review because I just found this site and I want to write a review on their service (2011). I will add another review on that. Please look for it. The service person I met was a douchebag.
