I had made an appointment to see a specific car days in advance, and had been contacting via e-mail all week. When I arrived (I drove 67 miles for this specific car), not only did the sales person not introduce himself at all but to my shock, the car I had an appointment to see was not even on the lot, it was being repaired at another location. Quite honestly, some of the most horrible and disrespectful customer service I have ever seen. NOT RECOMMENDED!
I found this dealership online when I was searching online for used Honda Accords. I looked through the cars they had online and wrote down the ones I was interested. When I called up and asked about the ones I was looking at they told me to come down when I had a chance to test drive a few and get a better look. I was pretty excited about the prices so I went that day. The salesman I spoke to on the phone was no longer in, but he had told another guy that I might be coming down to look at a few cars. The guy (Tony) even had a copy of my list! Which made things faster and easier for both of us and I thought it was a nice gesture to show they actually care about customers. He showed me the cars and some were better than others but all were the price they had been online. I was very happy about that. I’ve been to places where the price didn’t match the ad or whatever. I asked him about each model and he told me about all of them he was very patient and knowlegable. Not to mention very friendly. My credit wasn’t exactly sparkling so I was a little worried about that but I figured I’d deal with that when I was in the finance area. I test drove two or three cars, found one I really liked and made an offer. On the website I had saw they make deals with people with bad credit so I was hopeful and I cant remember the mans name but the finance specialist was also very nice and they came through for me despite my bad score and I was able to get a really nice 07′ Accord! I’m so happy with my car and greatful for this place to give me a chance. The payments were what they said they would be and I had no issues with hidden fees or extra charges. I am very satistied and I highly recommend this dealership!
I WENT TO GARDEN STATE DURING SOME SALE THEY HAD BACK IN JULY LOOKING FOR A CIVIC. MY BROTHER HAD GOTTEN HIS CAR THERE AND TOLD ME TO TRY THEM SO I DID. THEY HAD A FEW TO CHOOSE FROM WHICH MADE IT EASY FOR US. I LOOKED AROUND FOR A WHILE BUT I HAD MY HEART SET ON A CIVIC. THE PEOPLE I DEALT WITH DAVID AND YONG WERE HELPFUL AND PATIENT WITH US WHILE I WAS TEST DRIVING. I APPRECIATED HOW NICE THEY WERE TO ME AND MY FAMILY. I GOT A 2007 CIVIC FOR A LITTLE OVER $13,000 WHICH IS FAIR FOR THE MILEAGE IT HAD. I FEEL LIKE I MADE A GOOD PURCHASE AND DIDNT SPEND ABOVE THE VALUE SO IM HAPPY. GOOD PLACE. I WOULD RETURN IN THE FUTURE
I was told there might be a wait at Garden State Honda because they were always really busy on the weekends but when I got there, someone greeted me right away. It was crowded but they were really well staffed and new when to back off and give space if you know what I mean. I checked them out on line before I went there so I could see there prices and saw a 2007 Acura TL for $22,995. I knew from hours of research so that was the car I wanted. I called to make sure they had it and they said they did but I’ve been told that before by other dealerships so I didn’t get my hopes up but when I got there, they did have that car and they had it brought out before I got there.That’s what I call service. I didn’t have to negotiate or argue with anyone. Great all-around experience.
Ok let me begin by saying that on 8/21/2010, my experiencing of purchasing a 2010 Honda Accord LX-P was quite interesting. It started as stressful but ended up being a joyous experience. After about a week of doing online research, I received price quotes from Heather Carter of online sales, which I thought were great and within my price range. However upon arriving at the dealership in Clifton NJ, a salesman named Gaetano V. had no idea what he was doing and gave me incorrect information. Prices he gave me were inconsistent with Heather’s and told me ” you have a good price but you have to pay in cash right now to get the deal”. He smelled of smoke, didn’t have direct answers to my questions and was quite abrupt about trying to push me into purchasing. I left that particular dealer within 20 minutes but made it be known that I was totally unhappy with the customer service and felt it was a total waste my time as I was coming from CT.
Before leaving I spoke briefly to Joe Coffey the G.M. from Garden State Honda dealer in Clifton and although he wanted to find out what happened, I told him I would forward an email. Before driving over to the Passaic dealership, I wanted to let Joe Coffey about the horrible experience I had at the Clifton but thought it was most important to also say that my drive from CT wasn’t a total waste after all because I drove away with an Accord but not from the Clifton dealer.
I decided to leave but before heading home, I decided to take a chance and head over the Passaic Garden State Honda dealership. I knew I would be dealing with a different manager/sales people so I thought if giving it a chance. Well, to be quite honest I am so glad I did because it was the right time, right place and the right deal!
Upon entering the Passaic dealer, I was greeted by Emmanuel Anziani who took care of me within minutes. We were already talking numbers and I agreed to a price. Afterwards, went over to the Finance Director Ali Ranjha and he was also as friendly and cordial as Emmanuel. They both along with another sales gentleman were gracious, professional and all were very personable. The contract was thoroughly explained, they both answered all my questions and they really seem to care about satisfying my buying experience and to me this meant a lot. This is what I think all buyers want-true good customer service along with great prices is a recipe for selling many cars.
A truly SPECIAL thanks to Emmanuel Anziani (only a few months in sales but truly a gentleman with personally which to me counts big time) and Finance Director Ali Ranja.
You guys are the BEST ! I have a lot of friends and family who will know more about Garden State Honda in PASSAIC, NJ as I will spread the good news. I totally would recommend buyers to head over to the Garden State Honda dealer in PASSIAC, NJ.
