Dont let them work on your car if you bought it from another dealer, refused my warranty work and called me a liar
Purchased a certified pre-owned vehicle. Unfortunately the car-fax was misleading as the manufacturer says the vehicle is not certified. Second vehicle I purchased from these people, won’t ever go back. My mistake and a lesson well learned. Way to many shady things going on with this dealership.
This was my worst experience of looking at a car ever. Mark told us thAt we would love it or he would pay for our gas if we didnt like the car…do you think we loved it? The car was semi beat, hige gash in the door, driver mirror paint missing, and rock chips all over the hood! Do you think Mark or David paid for our gas? Nope! We drove an hour to look at a purple 2006 scion tc and when we got there this other guy showed up for the same car! So after driving the car mark and the other associate went inside and looked like they were making a plan for a bidding war. I will never recommend this dealership or Mark and Dave
Was quoted a price and then they backed out and tried to get us to pay 2500 more. Very Dishonest.
EXTREMELY DISHONEST CAR DEALER. I came incredibly close to buying a car here. Run, do not walk, away from these people. They used every dirty tricky in the book to try to cheat us. They start by tacking on a mandatory $3000+ dealer charge for “every fourth oil change free” and “free tires for life” (Note: they decide when you need new tires, and they wont replace popped or damaged tires.) They assured us we would definitely qualify for low rates and incentives, but when we asked they wouldn’t show us the fine print of the loan agreements or the incentives. (We pressed this issue- turns out we didn’t qualify.) They told so many lies and refused to let us read anything in writing, but the worst thing they did was flat out refuse to honor the price guarantee we had in writing. Burlington Kia signed a contract with cars.overstock.com saying they would honor the price they put up on the website. The manager Mike at Burlington Kia picks the price himself, and he had lowered it that week to make it even more enticing to customers, but when we asked Mike to honor it he said it was a mistake, and he didn’t mean to make it that low. He added that “this happens all the time” and that “people drive hours to get to him only to find out they can’t get that price” and that “he feels terrible about it”. First of all, that’s ridiculous. Of course he meant to enter that price. He had been changing it slightly for the past two weeks. Second of all, he signed a contract with overstock. He’s legally obligated to honor it, even if it was a mistake. Anyway, hope my long rant stops someone else from wasting their time at the awful dealer! Thanks.
This was our first experience with Burlington Kia and I have to say I would recommend this dealership to everyone I know! When we arrived we were greeted by Gary Abrams who made us feel very comfortable right away. From that point on we knew our experience would be a good one, he made us feel right at home. My son was looking at one of their used cars he saw on their website. We saw all of the brand new Kia’s and wished we could get a new car instead of the used car but knew that getting a brand new Kia was probably out of our price range. Gary Abrams, our salesman was determined to make our wish come true! Thanks to him my son drove away with a brand new 2012 Kia Forte! Gary worked so hard for us that I couldn’t thank him enough for all his time and effort that he put into getting my son financed. Everyone at the dealership was very friendly and made sure our experience was a good one. We live about 50 miles away from Burlington Kia and it was well worth the ride! I would highly recommended this dealership and Gary Abrams to everyone I know. I want to Thank everyone at Kia for the wonderful experience we had, especially Gary Abrams.
This was our first time dealing with Burlington Kia & our experience was wonderful. We had been driving down Route 130 to check out a list of dealerships. Burlington Kia was not one of those on our list, we saw it and made a last minute turn into the driveway. As we got out of our car we were greeted by Gary Abrams. He asked what exactly we were interested in purchasing and he came up with a couple suv’s to show us. Gary took us out for a couple test drives until we found the perfect vehicle for us. The vehicle was priced a little higher then we wanted to pay, but Gary worked with us to make was we wanted happen for us. Oh and by the way this was one of those days that it poured for hours. Which means Gary walked around & drove vehicles with us in down pouring rain; we were all soaked by the time we were finished. I would definately recommend this dealership & Gary to anyone interested in a new/used vehicle. Gary worked hard to get us what we wanted while he got to know us personaly which you probably wouldn’t get anywhere else. Our next vehicle will in no doubt be purchased from Burlington Kia.
I was not very happy with my experience at this Dealership and made my opinions know on two previous websites because I stated my opnion on my individual experience I am now being denied services that were promised to me. I was told unless I ammend my comments my services that were promised will not be performed. This has left me even more disappointed in Burlington Kia. I wish I never walked in their door.
When I first purchased my 2010 Kia Forte Koup, I was thrilled. I loved the car and how I was treated by the faculty. However, I went online after the fact and realized that the car was priced at almost $5,000 less. When I returned to the dealership to get some questions answered, Rich was cocky, arrogant, and unwilling to help. He became defensive and blamed me for everything that went wrong. The car is perfect, wonderful even, but the way the Burlington Kia salespeople treat their customers is not.
that is exactly how I felt you are just a number once you walk out that door they do not care about you and blame you for everything.
Burlington kia sold us 07 durango with 47,000 miles on it,Told us it was all good to go,Three months later and three thousnd miles it needed brakes and rotors. When we called Rich York for help he said the truck was fine and they would not honor the money we put out for repair,Then he sent us some copy that said brakes were fine,They did not even have the right miles that the truck had so how can i trust they checked brakes,This was our first used car and they got one over on me,I i plan to reg a complaint with better business bureau.
I was shopping for a new Kia Soul online. Contacted several local Dealerships in the area and was looking for a Dune Exclaim model. I received a response from John Lockett (Salesperson) at Burlington Kia confirming the availability of the particular Soul I inquired about. I set the appointment for 7:00 that evening and off to Burlington Kia I went with my husband. Upon arriving at the Dealership, I asked for John Lockett and found that he had the vehicle pulled out and ready for us. We test drove the vehicle and bought it at the exact price he had quoted us online. We were going to finance with our Credit Union and bring the check back the next day but after speaking with Mike Barse (Sales Manager), we found that their rates were better than our Credit Union! We signed all the papers and took the Soul home that night! We are very happy with the Kia Soul and very happy with Burlington Kia. They met all our expectations and John Lockett was a perfect Gentleman! I would recommend Burlington Kia to anyone! Pricing was more than fair and we were treated spectacular. My daughter is tuning 17 in 3 months and you can be assured I will contact John to get her a nice reliable car!
:):):):):)
Purchased 2007 durango with 47,000 miles was told everything was checked then found out that it needs brakes and rotors three months later called rich york manager told him that brakes were never replaced when they needed to be he said sorry they were fine and offered no help I am sorry i took their word that they were checked now 450.00 later i have new brakes also we only put 3000 miles on car since we purchased it back brakes at 5% and front20% thanks burlington kia my KIds ride in that car. PS never shop there disonest
We had looked at several dealers on line for a specific vehicle we found one at another dealership, we thought, it turned into a bait and switch situation so we walked out. Since we were in the area we called Burlington Kia and spoke to John Lockett the awesome experience began there. John listened to what we were looking for he told us what he had on the lot that was similar to what we were interested in so we went to look. We were greated in a friendly and professional manner we found a vehicle that we liked and got a fantastic price. I will be in the market for a second now car in the next few months and will without a doubt be going to see John at Burlington Kia.:D:D
Over priced, Low balled on trade in. Would not recommend to anyone. $300 for Doc fee? Rip off!! Found the exact same car for $750 less and the other dealer also gave me $700 more on my trade in. $100 for Doc. fee. Saved $1650 by not buying from Burlington Kia.
:mad:I do not recomend Kia of Burlington because
after a deal was made for a KIA Soul, when we returned for them to honor the wheel locks and extra key with remote and the General Manager claimed we had to pay an addtional $202 for these accessories. He was trying to renege on the deal by charging for what was owed. He claimed it was a mistake not to charge with the contract and it wasn’t part of the deal when it definitely was and it was listed with our WE OWE statement. I had to drive 50 miles down there (because I used a car buying service) so why would I do that if I had to pay for something down there when I could have purchased it at a Kia dealer 12 miles from our home. The man went beserk on me when I refused to pay. A deal is a deal. When I said I would pay but I was going to court on it, he really flipped and threw in the locks and key without remote and told me to never return there for any service. He really frightened me and was extremely unprofessional. He needs to stay in his office and not deal with customers. He was yelling at me and I am just a senior citizen female. The sales person knows I am right but wants to keep his job. The General Manager banned me from coming back to his dealership which is fine since I would not want to deal with such dishonest and unethical practices on his part. There was a lot more humiliation sprewed by him but, for brevity purposes, I won’t go into all of it. I have never been treated in such a manner in all my years of buying new cars. He is despicable and I would recommend that this dealership not be used.
I think his despicable practices should be closely monitored and the customer should not have to suffer his explosive, and intimidating, irates. As far as I am concerned, they still owe us a key remote and an apology. The other workers were professional and helpful and I don’t understand how they are able to perform their jobs under this kind of leadership.
😡
I would never buy from this car dealer – the general manager, Marcus, is unethical and dishonest and lies to his boss about what happened.
After a deal was made for a KIA Soul, we returned for them to honor the wheel locks and extra key with remote a week later. At that time, the General Manager claimed we had to pay an addtional $202 for the contractually agreed upon accessories. He was trying to renege on the deal by charging for what was owed. He claimed it was a mistake not to charge with the contract and it wasn’t part of the deal when it definitely was and it was listed with our WE OWE statement. We had to drive 50 miles down there (because we used a car buying service) so why would we do that if we had to pay for something down there when we could have purchased it at a Kia dealer 12 miles from our home. The man went beserk on us when we refused to pay. A deal is a deal. When we said we would pay but we were going to court on it, he really flipped and threw in the locks and key without remote and told us to never return there for any service (again a violation of the WE OWE statement which guaranteed excellent service). He really frightened me and was extremely unprofessional. There was a lot more humiliation sprewed by him but, for brevity purposes, I won’t go into all of it. I have never been treated in such a manner in all my years of buying new cars. He is despicable and I would recommend that this dealership not be used.I think his despicable practices should be closely monitored and the customer should not have to suffer his explosive, and intimidating, irates. I registered a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and it was settled by the Vice President, Gus, with this response:
Burlington Kia owes Shirley a keyless remote for her Kia Soul. It is clearly stated on the ”WE OWE” slip which she and our F&I Manager both signed. I am very sorry to hear about the verbal confrontation which took place in our Kia Showroom. Shirley purchased a new car and it should be delivered whole and complete.
Our Parts Manager informs me that the remote for the Soul is on order and not in our possession. When we receive the remote Eric Sanderson will call Ms. Anthony. At that time she can make an appointment to come to our service department to have it programmed. If she would rather not come to our service department, we will ship the remote to her and she can get it programmed at her local dealer. Burlington Kia will reimburse her for any related fee.
I hope our business relationship will grow beyond this bump in the road. We have very hard working and well meaning employees. On occasion, passions run amuck.
I accepted the resolution and thought it was over but the following lies was posted by them about me on AutoDealer:
In the situation involving “Snookie”, the customer had agreed to the additional charges for the wheel locks and the extra key. Those charges were not hidden in any way and were itemized on the guest sheet and contract signed by the customer. When the customer returned to dealership, and was given the invoice for those accessories, she chose to conduct herself in a fashion that required our General Manager Marcus DeAngelis to ask her to leave the dealership. Continuing to scream foul language on our show room floor with small children present is not how we do business. To defuse the situation we gave the customer the accessories at no charge.
This response is a total lie. I never use foul language unless they believe despicable, unethical and dishonest are foul language. It also contradicts their response to the Better Business Bureau by the Vice President which agreed that the accessories are stated in the WE OWE Statement and they would provide an additional remote. I wonder if this lying response was approved by the VP which would then further expose their despicable practices.
Initially visited Kia.com and was contacted by several local Kia Dealers. Went to our local Dealership (I won’t mention their name) whom gave us an internet price quote. We went to the Dealership and waited 20 minutes to be helped by a Salesperson. Explained and showed them the email quote on the Kia Soul that I was looking for and they showed me the car. All was well until they had to honor the quote, a very arrogant Sales Manager came out and told me if i didn’t like the price I could get the f%^k out? Wow, was I totally blown away. I looked at our quotes and found that Lakeith at Burlington Kia gave us the same price and we called him to make sure that the price was what he quoted. He was very professional on the phone and assured me that he WOULD honor the price quote and to please take the ride to Burlington. He also said that he would have the Soul ready for us to see when we arrived. We left our home in Cherry Hill with quote and mapquest directions in hand to visit Burlington Kia. When we arrived, the Soul was parked in the front of the Dealership and we were greeted immediately by Lakeith. We test drove the Soul again and we purchased the car at the price quoted with no funny business or hanky panky of any sort. The Finance Manager Stu was very helpful and the whole transaction took less than an hour! We were very happy with Burlington Kia and would reccommend the Dealership highly! :):):):)

JOHN LOCKETT AND THE REST OF THE STAFF TOLD ME LIE AFTER LIE.THE BIGGEST WAS THAT THE AIR CONDITIONER WORKED ON MY USED CAR WHEN IT OBVIOUSLY DID NOT,…IT WAS A COLD DAY..THEY EVEN SENT IT BACK TO HAVE IT CHECKED BY THEIR MECHANICS.THEY MUST NOT HAVE A CLUE.HE EVEN BROGHT THIS SO CALLED EXPERT OVER WHO TRIED TO CONVINCE ME THE TEMP GAUGE IN THE CAR READ THE INSIDE OF THE CAR NOT THE ENGINE TEMP.I COULD ONLY LAUGH. PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THESE MORONS ESPECIALY IF YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT CARS..WHEN I ASKED JOHN LOCKETT WHY HE TOLD ME LIE AFTER LIE HE SAID IT WAS BURLINGTON KIAS PRACTICE IN A SLOW ECONOMY YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
Just picked up a brand new 2011 Kia Sorento Limited from Mr. Lockett….he was the most Professional and considerate salesperson I have ever dealt with. He initially responded to my internet request of a price (emailed 4 other local dealers and didn’t get a response) within an hour. We made an appointment to go and see the Snow White Sorento that we were looking for on Thursday. When we arrived, Mr Lockett had the vehicle ready for us. We took a test drive and loved the Sorento. The price he quoted us was the EXACT price we ended up paying for the Sorento. There was no issues whatsoever. We signed our paperwork with Stu (Finance man) and he was very personable. Before we left we were introduced to Carl (Service) and Marcus (General Manager) who congratulated us on our decision. What a fantastic experience….we were in and out of there in less than an hour!
As I noted on another ratings site, I work in the court system. I was reluctant to walk into this dealership because of some of the reviews, but they had the Kia I wanted and there are few dealerships in my area. Although it is not entirely untrue that all dogs have fleas, as I have seen between attorneys and their clients, both can be unreasonable at times. Here, I saw nothing in the conduct of this dealership that would lend credibility to the complaints of these individuals. Lance and the sales manager treated me in a completely professional manner (and I looked pretty scruffy on my day off from work when I came in). There was nothing in the transaction for my new Kia that hinted at improper conduct. And as far as there being “kids” for salespersons, I saw none. I haven’t as yet had to have my Kia serviced, but if the service is as good as the sales, I’ll have no problem with this dealership.
To whom it may concern, I love the car and that is all! I would not in a million years recommend this dealership! The sales people right on up to the owner of the dealership were very nasty, and have no knowledge of custmer sevice. The only reason I purchased there was because I was lucky enough to have had a Kia customer service rep. from corporate help me through the sales transaction. This was something that the dealership definitely did not like!! While I was there I also noticed how condecending another sales person was to an elderly asian woman. I think that anyone with half a brain and without sales experience would realize that, when someone comes into your store to look at your product it’s not because they have nothing better to do with their time. I feel that with proper respect and true concern for potential customers always goes a long way. These simple realities were something that the folks at Burlington Kia,New Jersey had no clue about!!!
Again, great car! Horrible dealership, signed, Taking elsewhere for service.
Really no sales force..just kids who know nothing of the cars. No process either once the deal was done the sales guy forgot me five days later…still waiting two weeks for my floor mats and keyless entry…no one is in charge…the car works great though..Kia should just sell over the internet..no sales peole needed…cause they really don’t have any now.
