My car was damaged at Maher when their service tech test drove it. Maher kept it for 3 weeks and then refused to correct issues the car did not have before their accident. I knew Maher had dishonest sales people. One posted online reviews of my car purchase and signed my name. Still I bought another car there – with extended warranty – because their service department was great. Now, after over a decade of recommending Maher’s service folks, I no longer trust them. Maher’s general manager told me “people make mistakes.” His people make a LOT of mistakes and he won’t correct them. Other people should avoid my mistake of doing business with Maher Chevrolet.
excellent,knowledgeable.friendly,and warm
Kenneth Was very easy to deal with. I’m Buying my car from Him Come Income tax time.
They listen to you and your needs, and take care of anything you need. I went to a few dealers some would not even work with me. but this dealer helped and I got a new car. 🙂
Maher Chevy – Worst service ever – can’t fix cars they sell warranties for. Bought a Chrysler 300, purchased the recommend extended warranty. 3 months later the throttle control sensor light came on, the car would stall and idle rough, the brake sensor light comes on and the fluid level is correct and the engine oil was a quart low. After taking my money for the deductible “Tim” the service manager suggested just monitoring the oil level (understandable) but would not document the issue. He said they could not replicate the brake light sensor issue and stated that they needed to download software to correct the throttle control sensor and stalling issue. OK, that’s fine. WELL, two days later – same issues. The throttle control, and brake sensor lights came on again and car was stalling we notified Tim. He told us that we would have to take it to the Chrysler dealership. We asked him about the deductible and he said we would have to pay it again, so we just dropped it off to Maher Chevy anyway without paying again for the same issue within days. We got a call today and he told us that they were not responsible anymore for the warranty that we purchased from them. When we asked “well who is responsible then for the warranty work”, he told us “YOU ARE” (huh??) and got really out of line with my wife. We will seek legal action and file reports with the Department of Consumer Affairs and like agencies if they do wash their hands (as they implied) of this purchased warranty. I suggest Mr. Maher step up to the plate and hire more competent technicians and customer service managers who can document customer issues and treat them the same as the sales force.
