I wouldn’t recommend Ken or this dealership at all. I felt extreme pressure from the moment I walked into the lot. Please go to Mike Miller or Somewhere else.
I have not yet purchased a car, I will not until the summer due to certain circumstances but, I did go to different dealers to see what cars are out there. So far I have gone to 3 different dealers and Jim McComb Chevrolet is the best by far! I have now gone to Jim McComb twice and got EXCELLENT service both times. I have no complaints what so ever! All the employees are extremely helpful and kind and will do their best to answer any questions you have. If they do not know an answer they will look it up and email, call, mail, etc. you the information you need.
If you decide to check out any dealerships I would highly recommend Jim McComb Chevy. If I were to appoint a salesman I would suggest Troy Daugherty. He has helped me and still is helping me decide what vehicle to purchase. He has sent me specs on cars that I have asked him to and he has also sent me specs on cars that I may be interested in. He is the best sales representative because of his honesty and humor. He will be honest with you if you ask him a question. He hides no details and he will help you with the purchasing process in a good professional manner
BUT AT JIM MCCOMB CHEVY TODAY!!
:DWe recommend everyone visit Troy at Jim McComb to purchase their next vehicle. Troy was the most friendly, knowledgeable and HELPFUL salesman we have EVER dealt with. We had been in the market for a specific car for over a year. Many dealerships tried to steer us in other directions. Our credit isn’t the greatest and we had gotten the runaround spending countless hours at other dealerships, just to be turned away in the end. Troy has been the only salesman who was HONEST with us and was able to get us AWESOME financing. Troy was 110% IN-TUNE with what WE WANTED. Salesman like him, are few and far between we think. He also noticed our new car needed a new tire and front license plate bracket….helped us set it up FOR FREE!!! THANKS TROY…YOU MADE BUYING OUR NEW CAR AN EXCITING EXPERIENCE!:D
I knew I needed to start looking for a vehicle to replace aging Escape. Needless to say, previous experiences had left me not looking forward to the process. My fears were put to rest when Jim McComb Sales Consultant Troy Daugherty told me about the off site sale. Troy was professional and courteous as he walked me thru the variety of vehicles at the sale. He explained the features and benefits of each while being mindful of my budget. Troy helped me find the perfect one. I love my car!!!
Thank you Troy. You’re the best!!!
My husband and I hate buying cars and always feel like we’ve entered a shark tank when we walk onto a used car lot. A couple weeks ago we went to the East Peoria Event Center for the Uftring Auto “Show” just to look at their SUV’s, never expecting to buy one that day. But the vehicle was right, the price was right, and our salesman never pressured us, and so we traded in our truck that same afternoon for an SUV. Another dealership in Peoria promises that buying from them is “headache-free” but with McComb it’s the real deal.
We have three cars in our family from Jim McComb and we have all been treated with respect, courtesy and consideration. I have found them to be honest and forthright. Our service technician (Denise) is fantastic. What a positive experience we have had with sales and service, including repairs when needed.
We have been with Jim McComb for the past 5 vans/trucks we have purchased. We have kept the vechiles for quite a while and had very high miles on each and everyone of them. They have kept them running for us. We have never worried that Denise would steer us wrong. Will we continue to go to Jim McComb for service “YOU BET”. We would not trust our vans/trucks with anyone else. Denise Doyle and the service department are a “At” service department. Don’t service you vec. anywhere else. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK JIM MCCOMB SERVICE DEPARTMENT!!!!!!!

Very helpful and accommodating. Overall experience was very good.
I have been a customer of Jim McComb for several years now. Have always been treated with professionalism in every part of the service area. This includes body shop, parts & service.
A big Thank you to Jesse Psinas for getting me in and out so quickly. A few weeks ago I purchased a 2009 Traverse. My work takes me out of town quite frequently and the time I have at home is precious. I also realize the finance portion of buying a new car is important, yet can be time consuming. Jesse was very aware of my short time frame and was able to get me in and out very quickly. Thanks Jesse!:)
I recently purchased a 2009 Traverse. My last 3 vehichles have been Trail Blazers and I have not needed to have the salesperson review the options, since I was already familiar with them. After buying the Traverse, Justin Costello made time to go over all of the options of the Traverse. I travel out of town alot so I was greatful that he was able to accomodate me on my free time. He was extremely friendly and took alot of time to show me what the Traverse was capable of. He assisted me in setting up my bluetooth link with my cell phone, all of the Navigation options, DVD players, etc. I did not feeled rushed and he made sure I was comfortable before I left the dealership.
Thanks again Justin. 🙂
I purchased my HHR from Jim McComb and was very satisfied with working with sales consultant Kathy Underwood. She not only worked with us to understand our needs but went above and beyond in making sure we were happy with our purchase. Since then I have only great things to say about the service department. I have a dedicated person to call in setting up my appointments and she is always helpful in helping me determine what maintenance is needed.
My cars have been serviced at Jim McComb Chevrolet for many years. Employees are thorough, friendly, courteous, and make sure the client understands what work is recommended and/or necessary. I would not consider taking my vehicles anywhere else.
I had made an inquiry on the internet about a car I was interested in. I was wanting to trade in my SUV for a smaller Midsized car. Kathy was extremely helpfull and made sure I got the car I wanted. After I purchased the car, she made sure to go out to the car with me and explain all the new features. To date, it was the best car buying experience I’ve had. I felt relaxed and I wasn’t pressured, for the first time ever. I’ll definately go back.
The staff and management at Jim McComb Chevrolet are among the most pleasant and considerate people I have had the fortune of visiting. I was treated more like a friend than a customer while I was there buying my new car, and subsequently as I came back for service. The service advisers have been helpful and honest for the three years I have been visiting them.
Even get candy bars for the kids when we have the oil changed!
Bought Used car with 45,000 miles, 2006 Chevy Impala
Car had issue with tire monitoring system-always says tires need to be checked even when at recomended psi for tire-44 psi. Dealer said the tire monitoring system doesnt work well in cold weather. Local chevy dealer said it works between 26-38 psi for tires.
Both car remotes fail to work more than 5 ft. from the vehicle, and the car has remote start… kind of pointless. Changed batteries in remotes figuring that was the problem, but didnt fix it. Talked to the dealer about issue and they said 1 in 8 impalas have this issue. They wouldn’t do anything about it. Checked with local chevy dealer and they said it is an easy fix around $500.
Before purchasing the car I pointed out the rear tires were very worn and the dealer said they were brand new. After purchase upon further inspection I noticed that the rear tires were in fact worn and one of the front tires was a one directional tire. This means the tire cannot be rotated with the rest to even out wear patterns. Dealer did comply to pay back cost of 1 new tire to replace the one directional tire. Too bad we have to replace all 4 now to make it worth buying 1 new tire.
Sales man was also on top of us the whole time we were at the dealership. We couldnt test drive the car by ourselves because we “didnt know the area.” Also I asked for him to fill up the car with gas and after getting in to leave from the dealership, the car was still half full. It would have only cost $18 at most to fill it.
