I purchased a used Audi Cabriolet 2004 but thankfully with the 100000 mile certification. I have blown 4 cylinders since I purchased it in 2005. Not a trustworthy vehicle to take on a long trip incase you have engine problems. My worst problem was my radio started loosing reception. I brought it in for a diagnosis that cost over 100 hundred dollars. I was told they would have to take the entire inside car apart to change the antenna wire. The cost would be over 1000 dollars and this was not covered under warranty. I decline and brought the car to an independent auto radio company. They fixed the problem for 90 dollars. I contacted Audi asking for a refund on my diagnosis charge ($115.00) and was told the car was properly diagnosised and Audi recommends that they car be taken apart and a new cable antenna installed rather than cutting out the piece that was damaged which is what the independent company did. All Audi ever recommends to me since I have owned the car are high prices to fix this vehicle. I would not recommend purchasing an Audi. Unreliable and the company charges outrageous repair bills.
For a dealer who praises their great customer satisfaction, I’m here to write about the exact opposite. Maybe Fairfield’s satisfaction was great before they switched heads of sale, before they moved locations, but now it is horrendous. You may have read my previous post.
A purchased a ~$40k+ S4 a little over one year ago. The car is STILL under factory warranty, and certified pre-owned. The car was sold to me under false terms, that it had never been involved in accidents, suffered damage, or had previous body work done. But the paintwork is chipped due to shoddy previous repair that was never disclosed to me at the time of sale.
The 300+ CPO certification is bogus, at least in terms of detecting damage. It boils down to a Carfax report.
Audi of Fairfield will not fix the car’s damage under CPO warranty because their was no history of body work in a Carfax report.
Audi of Fairfield will not fix the car under the perforation/corrosion warranty, because the damage results from previous body work.
They don’t realize these are contradictory arguments.
When asked what they would do in my position, they said “pay to get the car fixed”.
What great customer service. BEWARE. Go elsewhere for you Audi.
