I have been trying for over a month to get issues resolved regarding my purchase. First off when I went in and got paired with Andy (Anderson) we discussed I wanted a 2019 Camry Hybrid that was the Blue Crush color and I also specified that I wanted a remote start. He told me that the hybrid didn’t come in that color, so I told him I would settle for the XLE 4cyl. He had me drive a 2019 Camry hybrid they had just to make sure I was ok with the car itself. I had read online that the navigation system was only compatible with APPLE but wasn’t sure if that was still accurate. I had asked Andy specifically if it was now compatible with Android also. He replied, absolutely. My boyfriend and I then returned from the test drive and had informed Andy that I loved it and told him specifically what I wanted once again. He replied that He had one at a dealer down in Connecticut that was EXACTLY what I just drove except it was not a hybrid and that the color was what I wanted. Andy assured me that those were the only differences. Andy then asked me if that’s what I wanted, and I told him yes as long as those are the correct details and he said yes. He then asked me to sign a paper for a credit check and I told him I didn’t want to sign anything till I was sure I was getting the car because I didn’t want any unnecessary hard inquiries. He promised it was a soft inquiry and wouldn’t go on my report, so I agreed and signed. I had also informed Andy that I was going to go through my credit union for the loan and he agreed it was a good idea. Andy also added that it was an additional $1000.00 to have the car shipped up from CT. I said I would just go get it and save the money and he frowned upon that. A couple days later he had called and told me the car was there and I was all set to bring my trade down and sign papers. I had arrived to get the car with my trade and put additional $ down to get my payments lower. I was then informed by Jason what my payments would be and asked how he already knew that without the loan info. He said they had already ran my loan through Toyota which I was NEVER informed of and would have never approved! I explained to Jason that I discussed going through my credit union for my loan and he said ok well we can have you apply and refinance through DCU. I was not about to do that since there were already two hard inquiries from Toyota on my report that I was not informed of. I didn’t want to get more upset so I figured the car is there and if that’s the only issue then I’ll let it go. Jason handed me the key after we went through all the signing (I asked Jason and he assured me it was just warrantee stuff since all you get to see is the box you sign.) Anyway, just to triple check I asked once again about the starter and navigation system and Jason replied that if I wanted a starter they could do it that day for an additional $499.00.. At that point I was pissed! I was told that it had a starter along with everything else promised! I also find out that the car now has 181 miles on it not the 14 it had when I found out about it. They left me w/ a 1/4 tank of gas (Guessing I paid the extra $1000.00 for someone to drive it here, use the gas and put on miles which is what I could have done!) I figured the professional thing to do would have been to have it shipped up since I was told there were 14 miles on the car. So now I have a car with more miles that I had to pay $1000.00 for that wasn’t what I wanted besides the color with no starter, no charging platform that the Hybrid had and now I also find out that the navigation is NOT compatible with Android!! I was late for class so ended up taking my paperwork and rushing to school. looked at the top page when I arrived at school and saw that apparently the car was a 2018 manufactured in 2017, It wasn’t even a 2019! I let them keep the car for the next couple days to put the starter in, got a call it was all set. When I got there I went to make sure everything was good and noticed I didn’t have a 2nd key or the starter button. I then asked for it and was informed I had to wait for both till Monday when the finance office was open. I ended up fighting for my $499 back for the starter. I was told it would be taken off the total (which they conveniently forgot to do!) It took a month to get my $ back then they sent it to the wrong address. I also had the protective film put on for an additional $799.00 which I had noticed is defective and was given a number to call and brushed away after trying to get that resolved and my credit report fixed. To top it off I went to hit the lock button today while walking in the house. Ended up hitting it twice and just so happens my car had the factory starter in it to begin with! I know some things happen and accidents are made but this is beyond accidental. I would hope that other people don’t have the same experience. Andy has made this a miserable experience and I plan to never again deal with this location!
