This was the best car buying experience I have ever had. My husband and I chose this dealership because we had heard it advertised on the Fish…which is a Christian radio station. We also had family members who had purchased 2 different cars from here. Needless to say we were in no way disappointed. The people at Nelson Mazda are absolutely wonderful. Joe Talley has to be one of the nicest car salesmen around. He fed my family lasagna while we waited for our paperwork and brought cars up for us to the door since it was cold outside! He is not at all pushy and wanted to put us in what worked for OUR budget…not his paycheck. He even had several other customers come in while we were there and not once did he shrug us off or try to balance more than one of us. He referred them to another salesman and stayed right with us. Rich Craycroft made the signing process go very smoothly and worked us what we felt to be a good deal on a great vehicle. In all the whole process took only a couple of hours. I will definitely return when it is time to purchase another vehicle. Thanks guys! You have restored my faith in the car sales business…not everyone is out to get you after all.
I recently purchased a used 2010 mazda 3 that was sold to me with no air conditioning. I obviously had no idea cars were even made without air as I am sure most consumers would not think it isn’t a standard optionl. I am also sure they knew that I believed it to have air condtioning. Although I realize buyer beware applies I must also say that no one thinks that air is not a standard option. This was my second mazda from nelson and would have likely bought every car from them for the rest of my life. You would think they would treat repeat customers better than this. I will never purchase another vehicle from any Nelson dealer again. And I will do my best to warn others to stay away. After telling my story to friends and co workers I know they will never buy from them either.
A film covers the outside windows making visibility at night, during a rainstorm extremely hazardous. They’ve done nothing. And I mean NOTHING. Everyone sees it and I drove off the lot with this condition. Still considering options at this point. The dealership is the epitome of get the sale and move on. Service and responsiveness is awful. They are the epitome of the longstanding bad rap against dealers. ..
Simply stated, I drove off the lot with my 2010 “3” during a rainstorm and realized I could barely see out of the car even with the defrost on full blast. Long story short, there is a film on the outside of the windows. The water beads and coagulates with dirt spots. The dealer is well aware and have done nothing, and even said they didn’t know what to do. So, I have a 20k car that is a safety hazard, namely at night during a rain shower. Everyone else sees it: co-workers, friends, etc. Did they check with glass experts? No. Did they offer to take a sample and send to a lab? No. They’ve done nothing. Typical scenario of why this industry has a bad rap. Get the sale and paint the rosy picture, then drop you like a dead potato when something goes awry. Try Alexander Mazda of Cool Springs for better service, etc. They’re attentive and seem to actually show concern. Nelson is the bottom of the barrel
Applied for a car loan with them, i spoke to them that day and filed out the credit application. i emailed them two days later since we were communicating that way because of my schedule. i never got a reply i called them and left a message and they never called me back. i called back the next day and was able to get a hold of them and they told me i was approved but i needed 4k down, never asked for a cosigner or if i could pay that down, i had to suggest it. submitted the cosigner, it’s been two business days and still have not heard back, i also emailed them today, nothing yet. they def do not communicate with their client’s. i think we have the right to know if we’re approved or not considering we gave them authorization to run our credit report.
Same as Above! Wasted my time!! Lie on top of Lie from these people…stay away! Poor people and business skills…
7:00pm August 15, 2009 per my pre-scheduled appointment, I arrived at Nelson Mazda to test drive a 2005 Toyota Tacoma with my wife. After driving the vehicle and signing several pieces of paper to obtain financing, a deal was struck that if they could bet my payment between $250 and $300 per month, I would purchase the vehicle. On Saturday morning 8/15/2009 at 10:47am, I received a call from the dealership stating that financing had been obtined and they would hold the vehicle until I arrived at 3:00pm to sign the final papers. At 2:49pm I received another call from the dealership informing me that they just sold the vehicle to someone else. It is my belief that there was an intent to buy contract signed. If not, there was definitely an implied contract and the vehicle should have been sold to me. I spent from 8:00am until 2:00pm getting my two trades spotless for trade in when I could have been looking elsewhere or definitely doing something else. This shows that they use extremely bad judgement when it cones to customer service.
