We came to Nelson on Sat 10/06 and were greeted by Manuel and Ray. We were impressed by Ray’s professionalism. He is very quick in everything. He showed us the car we wanted to see and explained evertyhing to us. When we said we changed our mind and would like to look at another car, he pulled out another one promplty. His service really exceeded our expectation. We bought a 2013 Accord LX that afternoon. The price is mone than $1000 difference from other dealers. If you come to other dealers like Galpin, they will lure you into a negotiation nigthmare. COME TO NELSON AND ASK FOR RAY CHENG !
I just bought a civic lx from sunny, also traded my Hyundai, go a good price on my trade! And got the price I wanted for my new car! Strongly recommend this dealer. Salesman is very nice, didn’t felt pressure buying a car.
I recently purchased a 2012 Honda Accord SE from Rigoberto Osornio. He was very patient compared to other salesmen from others dealers.
I was looking for an Accord with leather and moon-roof but my payment was to high how ever he explined to me about the Accord Especial Edition and I saved over $ 100.00 a month on my payment.
Iwill recomend him to all my friends and family when they are lookinf to purchase a new or used Honda.
Thank you Rigo For all you help
Watch out! These guys were completely dishonest with me!
I don’t mean a little truth bending, or exaggerating…I mean flat out DECEPTION!
We came in to buy a 4 wheel drive car and when we got into the showroom they misled us into thinking that the 2WD that we bought was in fact a 4WD. After we purchased the car, we got the registration in the mail and it said 2WD. We assumed that there had been a mistake because the dealers were so persuasive that we should buy THIS car (as opposed to a lower priced one at Signal Hill), because THIS one was 4WD.
After what I assumed was a “mix-up”, I called them in good faith, and told them the situation. They dug in their heels and denied ever misrepresenting the car. They argued that they would ever mislead people, saying, “that’s not how we do sales here. The owner would never stand for that.” Well, apparently the owner DOES stand for that, or they simply do it behind his back. For all their protests, I’m sad to say that I did not read the reviews here first.
Had I read their reviews before buying from them, I would have known better than to ever set foot within their dealership.
Good sales, high pressure sales…none of those bug me. But lying to my face and actually MISREPRESENTING THE CAR???
Oh, and their customer service? I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt because I generally believe in people. However, when I raised the issue less than a week later, it didn’t seem a big deal. You’d think with such a huge misrepresentation they’d deal with it right away. After I called, they said they’d look into it, and never called me back. Weeks later, I called them, and they still hadn’t responded. My conclusion was that this kind of thing must happen all the time. Had I been a business owner, I would have bent over backwards to rectify a situation like this…if I was honest…
Finally, when they did get back to me, they refused to do anything. They wouldn’t even refund the difference between a 2WD and 4WD. (Oh, they did finally respond after reading this review, and offer to refund the sale to me at a loss of the tax and registration if I removed this review…What?!?! More money out of my pocket?)
I couldn’t ever trust them enough to sign one more piece of paper with them ever again.
For the record, I bought the car in July, and as of October I’m still awaiting the snowboard racks, and the bluetooth instructions that they promised me months back.
BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE!
This was the worst case of FLAT OUT DECEPTION that I have ever witnessed from a business! These guys should be working on a used lot somewhere…
I bought a car through the Internet Department in February. I am a very busy person so I asked for a quote my email. When I arrived he had the car I wanted and answered all of my questions. I speak chinese and they treated me respectfully. I even met the general manager Andrew, and he is aisan too. I would recommend them. Very quick and simple!
How is this dealer still open? I was researching on the net, looking for the best possible deal on a 4 door. Yes pretty much any 4 door for around $200 a month lease (3rd car). When I saw an ad on NELSON Honda’s website for $169 for a honda accord. But the ad was very blurring, so I called. I was transferred to “Mel Cabalar”(Liar). I asked him what I needed besides good credit to get the $169 a month. Because the ad was blurry and I could only see zero down. Mel told me zero down $169 month. I told him we would eat dinner then head to Nelson Honda. Before we left I called one more time and spoke to Mel Cabalar. Again I asked him if he was sure about the zero down and only $169 month and he said yes. I then ask if it was for only 10,000 miles. He said no for 12,000. Again before I hung up I asked if he was sure because didn’t want to drive out there this late. Mel Cabalar again said 100 percent it’s zero down, $169 month for 36 months and 12,000 miles a year.
Drove in and wasted about an hour waiting for him to find the car. Then I said ok lets do the deal. He came back and said I needed $2200 down to get that price. Big snake!!! NEVER BUY from NELSON HONDA
i bought my 2010 honda odyssey 2 months ago, i agree pay over 34k for this van with 2.9% with my credit score 850, be4 i sign the contract the financier offer with 7 yrs extended warranty, i also agree to purchase the 7 yrs warranty, he also offer me another warranty which is cover the whole van interior/exterior/windshield water spot from sprinkler system, i also purchase it anyway for additional $475, after a week from purchase my van make an appointment to have it put on some kind of protection for my interior/exterior/windshield on my van, the service dept told me it wll take the whole day to do it, so i drop it off in the morning and pick it up the end of the day, three days later i notice on my van i can still see some white stuff still on my van between the fender edge and right door edge, so i have to wipe it off myself, so here is the real story i normally park my van inside the garage it just that day i was gonna use it for the next morning so i park it outside, then it rain that nite for the next 2 day, so i waited until rain stop, and i notice water spot on my windshield even all around my glass window, so i took it in to NELSON dealer service dept, first of all i explain that i paid the warranty for the interior/exterior/windshield protection, and i told him that i got water spot on windshield even on all my windows, then the service gentleman told me that the warranty dont cover the water spot that is on the windshield it only cover the interior and exterior ONLY, so i was what the **f, so i went to the financier which sold me this warranty, he told me he will speak with the service manager which is Tim Smith, so Tim Smith went outside take a look at my van and he told me that the warranty dont cover with this water spot that’s on my windshield, so i told y would the financier sold me something that which is not cover, i was very upset at that moment, so Tim told me the only thing he can do is to have my van detail it again, so i figure i as long they remove the water spot i am ok with it, then he told me he will have one of the sercive gentleman take care, so i was waited waited in the waiting room, after an hour later i went outside my van still park there no one bother to find out what’s going on? and my only van was in that service line, that day was Oct 11 2010 10am is not even busy, so i went to Tim office look for him, he’s not there i ask one of the guy works there he told me Tim is at the meeting, so i waited waited next to my van NO body at all try to help me out, 15 mins later Tim show up ask me that he needed my key, i told him the key was in the van the whole time, i didnt take the key with me when i was in the waiting room, then he make out the tags serice for my van, i ask him do u know how long it will take, the answer i got it from him is i dont know, i was like what, so Tim left, i waited again next to my van, then the other service gentleman got it my van about to drove it off i ask him do u know how long it will take for my van to finish the only answer that i got from him is i dont know, so i ask for a ride home because i dont know how long i have to wait for this services, be4 i got a ride home, i dont have any paper work from the service at all, at 7pm i arrive at NELSON HONDA to pick up my van, i saw my van is park at the service dept, i ask one of the service writer i am here to pick up my van, he answer with a NOT happy face, this is what i have been thru with NELSON HONDA, So i would NOT recommended anyone to this NELSON HONDA Dealer unless u want to go thru all this headache like me, Good Luck to u Nelson Honda in the future.:devil(
If you’re looking to get swindled, then by all means come to nelson honda in el monte. I recently purchased an ’03 toyota camry for $7k out the door. Saw the carfax and everything was fine. Two days after buying the car, the check engine light came on. I took the car back to nelson honda thinking it was a mistake cuz i JUST bought the car… and to my surprise there is actually something wrong. The car needs to have a converter catilator or something like that replaced. The DEALERSHIP said they will only pay for HALF of what it’ll cost me, and the total amt for replacement, labor, etc is a little over $800. So now i JUST bought this car and they are telling me i have to pay $400 out of my pocket!?!?!??!?! Tell me i didn’t get swindled!!?? Its one thing if they even offered me a warranty but due to the fact that its a used car w/ over 100,000 miles, THEY DIDNT.
Now, you tell me if you will go to this dealership??? answer is simply HELL NO!
I will definitely DO NOT recommend to buy your car in this dealership specially if you do not SPEAK ENGLISH flurently. They are very dishonest and if you trust them and sign the sales contract without FULLY understanding it, you will end up paying Many, Many add-on fees that you don’t need and their finance manager will tell you to GET OUT of their dealship if you want your money back…. I tried to help my friend who did not understand English well to get their $799 “thiefcode” and $499 “alarm” money back and was asked to GET OUT of the dealship by their “GM” Sean Daniel and he called us ” A bunch of ignorant Chinese” It was an unbelievable experience. We felt as we were dealt with some street un-educated people instead of “manager” representing this large dealship !!!
