I purchased a used ford truck From Muller. They also sold me an extended warranty. The trasmission on the truck failed in less that 500 miles. I called the warranty company and they sent out an inspector. He stated that the warranty was viod since serious modifications had been done to the engine and transmission in the past. He also said that Muller should have known this since they did the modifications. I have learned that the truck’s only previous owner may have been related to the dealer owner. I am not out $1850 fir the warranty and almost $5000 for a new specialty transmission. Muller Toyota refuses to take my calls. I WOULD DEFINATELY RECOMEND NO DEALING WITH MULLER TOYOTA.
I had a horrible experience with this dealership! Not only were the sales people pushy and arrogant, they were also dishonest and disrespectful. First of all I am a 30 year old women, however i look very young, and i felt as though the salesmen at Muller were patronizing and arrogant toward me (treating me like a young naive girl)- which i did not appreciate. But the main reason i would not reccomend Muller is because I went in looking to buy a new car and I left HAVING to buy a new car. I owned a 2001 Toyota Celica which was on it’s way out. I drove an hour every day to work and I felt unsafe in the car beacuse of it’s size. It also required frequent maintainence – oil changes and air in tires – but for the most part it was running just fine. When i went in to Muller and told them that I wanted to trade in my old toyota toward a new one they told me they would have to inspect my car and take it for a test run to see how it handeled. This seemed fair to me at the time but it turned out to be a huge mistake! I should have went with the sales person when they took my car out. When he came back he said the engine was blown and they couldn’t give me anything for the car. I was shocked! The engine sounded fine before i got there. This is the car that I drove to and from jersey City everyday, i think i would have heard or felt the engine going. They drove my car for 5 minutes and the engine is blown?? This sounded suspicious. When i went to leave to go back to work (I was on my lunch break) the car sounded horrible!! They took my car out and somehow blew the engine completely! I had to get towed back to work because it was not drivable. My car was completely dead after that and I had to rent a car for a week, and now i HAD to buy a car. When i called them to complain they were so rude to me and denied doing anything wrong to my car. They were defensive, arrogant and had absolutely NO customer service – which leads me to believe that they were guilty of something otherwise why would they get so defensive?? I have heard that some car dealerships used to do this to people so that they were in a position that they had to buy a car. (I also heard that this was always done to elderly consumers and young women) Don’t ever let a dealer drive your car without you in it. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM MULLER TOYOTA!! – they do not deserv it. They are crooked snakes!!
It’s silly that you wanted a new car because the Celica required oil changes and air in the tires. If the tires are leaking air, get the puncture fixed or buy new tires.
A 2001 Celica is not that old a car. The problem in America is that most people do not take the time to learn anything about the car they drive. For instance, oil needs to be checked every 1000 miles on cars with more than 100,000 miles due to oil leaks. Lack of oil can make the engine seize. It is hard for a dealership to blow an engine in 5 minutes. Also pretty naive to let the dealership drive the car alone. Pretty naive to go alone to a dealership. I would recommend that you take an automotive course at the Community College. I am not affiliated with Muller Toyota.
I went online to find out information about a Camry to replace my 1997 Camry. After receiving many emails and phone calls, one stood out above the rest: Muller Toyota. Not only did they email me an actual price quote (with a nice discount), but the internet manager, Clay, was very friendly and knowledgeable.
I appreciated how honest and straighforward Muller Toyota was. I may not have got the absolute lowest price I could, but I bought from a place that I would recommend to anyone. And, I did get a GOOD price and EXCELLENT customer service. I will buy from them again.
