Doan Vu provided wonderful sales service. Justin in finance was also very good and didn’t do the pressure sales on the extended warranty. Dealing with the sales manager was typical with three exchanges and “initials” on our agreements…(BS but it is part of their process).
We are very happy with the price paid for our FJ and payment we were given for our trade in.
I just had a terrible experience at the Mountain States Toyota service department. My check engine light came on yesterday so I wanted to bring my car in to have it checked (it is under warranty, which I think is part of the reason I was refused service). I checked online to see your hours and discovered that I could make an appointment online. The website asked me if I would be able to drop my car off and I clearly checked no, I intended to wait at the dealership for service to be completed. I made an appointment for 4:45pm, the only appointment the website showed available. When I arrived I was greeted by Eric (blond spiky hair and a long goatee) and I told him my check engine light was on and tried to hand him my keys. He informed me that the only thing he could do for me at this time was make another appointment. (Why would I rush down to your store to make another appointment?!) I asked why and he explained that you close at 5:00 (I didn’t realize that meant they dropped thier tools at 5:00 on the dot and don’t work one second longer, most people in the service industry don’t have this luxury) He told me I could leave it for him and he would try to look at it on Monday, this is my only vehicle and this isn’t possible, I explained. He assured me that a check engine light is “no big deal” and just to make an appointment for when I have time again. At this point I was extremely angry and let him know that it is a lease and if anything goes wrong I am noting that this shop refused to service my vehicle. I love my car but I don’t think I’ll be leasing another Toyota. This service is unacceptable, you would think with people losing so much faith in Toyota’s product these days they would strive to be impressive in the only are they can anymore: customer service. I am sorry I don’t have a choice but to deal with this company for the next year until my lease is up, I can’t wait for that to not be the case. I know this situation may sound minimal, but this guys attitude was just so dismissive. I am deeply insulted.
I received great service at Mountain States Toyota. In for a simple oil change and they found a problem, that had i continued driving, would have left me stranded somewhere. The Tech found this leak no where near the oil filter or filler, so I know he did a great job looking my car over. The repair was covered by warranty, as to the oil change, i was charged exactly what was qouted. Will return and highly recommed this shop! Terry.
Mountain States Toyota service department is run by crooks.
When I called them to make an appointment for alignment service, I asked for a price quote. The service manager Eric quoted me $59 based on the model/year of my car. But when I brought in the car for service, the service manager Victor told me the price was $79. I told him the quote I was told, Victor was willing to honor the price I was quoted.
But after my car was pulled into the service bay, a higher ranked service manager Mike came to me and said that if I chose to do the $59 job, it would be “total waste of my money and time.” If I wanted to get the job done right, I had to pay at least $69. they even predicted that I might need to pay hundreds of dollars extra if any parts needed to be replaced. So I told him again about my conversation with Eric, Mike said that Eric was not here and he saw no proof of it (i.e., I was lying). At that point, I realized that this shop was run by people that lack basic honesty. If I allowed them to service my car, they could come up any reason they wanted for unnecessary repairs. I would not be technically savvy enough to sort out truth, half truth, and total lies. So I decided to stop the work and leave. Yes, I wasted my afternoon. But at least I cut my losses.:(
