Whole attitude of sales department changed after made decision to buy the car. Took an hour and 1/2 to process sales paperwork. Not only did I pay in cash, but also called an hour ahead to ask them to get started.
Very disrespectful of time. Some people were there much longer than I. Would avoid this dealership.
I am writing this review because I have exhausted all other options in an attempt to get any kind of assistance from mazda. I have called the dealership more times than I would like to admit, and am passed off from person to person until I am told they will call me back. Needless to say I have never recieved even one call back. I have emailed numerous times and even called corporate mazda, and i was told they would handle my issue, but just like with the dealership, I have never heard back from them. We bought a car we were leasing on the 12th of January (we dropped off the check from the bank) We were given temp 30 day tags, and told we would get the tags when the title was given to the bank. The tags expired Feb. 11, and we found out that the dealership sat on the check and didnt give it to the finance dept until Feb 8th. So our car was not drivable because the dealerships inability to do a SIMPLE job. The dealerships name is Rosenthal Mazda in Arlington VA off of Glebe road. I understand they are independently owned, but they do carry the Mazda name. As far as corporate mazda is concerned they are just as bad. If corporate deals with customers this way it is no wonder the independently owned dealerships feel like they can as well.
The fact of the matter remains, we paid for a service. We held up our end of the deal when we delivered the check on time, and yet Mazda has drug their feet, been extremly rude, and they have made it impossible for us to get any use of the car we purchased over TWO MONTHS ago. This is unacceptable. My fiance and I are were forced to try and find a way for us to get everywhere we needed to be everyday with ONE car, even though we were paying for TWO.
After over a week of going into the dealership EVERYDAY we were finally given new temp tags, but they have still not sent the title to the bank or gotten us our permanent tags. It has been over 2 months since they cashed our check, and our replacement temp tags are about to run out as well. If we were to get in a accident because we dont have the title yet (even though we have paid for the car) mazda would get any money from the insurance company. When we call or email now to see when this issue is going to be resolved, our calls and emails are always ignored. How is this anyway to treat a paying customer? We will NEVER buy a mazda again. It isnt worth it. Our other car is a Hyundai and they are amazing, and Bend over backwards for us. Yet for some reason Mazda can’t take their heads out of their asses long enough to do even the simplest of tasks. The way that MAZDA deals with customers on a corporate as well as a dealership level is criminal. Save yourself the headache and PLEASE learn from our mistake.
