Hi am having a very hard time with this dealership. I traded in my car two months ago and they haven’t paid it off I have late fees collection agencies calling me. It now has been reported in my credit report. And when I call they just say I call you back and never do!! ( they told me last week it was send. Somewhere else by mistake. Acura Libertyville Illinois is the dealer.
So now my credit is damaged because of this negligence?
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. At Acura of Libertyville we had what could be the best car buying experience of all time. We found a certified-used MDX at Acura of Libertyville that we were interested in. We are out-of-state so we had an independent inspection service (lemonsquad.com) check out the car for us. The results were that the car was above average. The inspector even noted that the salesman he worked with was exceptionally friendly. I worked directly with James Won at Acura of Libertyville over the phone and via email for before driving to the dealer. James was very helpful and did a thorough job of explaining the condition of the car. He even walked around it out in the parking lot while he and I were on the phone and explained where there were minor (very minor) scuffs (expected as it was a used car). So when my wife, 1yr old son and I arrived at the dealer the car was just as expected. Actually it was in even better condition than I expected. Nearly perfect in fact. They did a wonderful job prepping it for sale. Acura of Libertyville takes the certification process seriously and it shows. We’ve had the car for about 2 months now and it has been perfect. No issues at all. It took a couple hours at the dealer to complete the test drive, paperwork, etc. Our 1yr old son was a little anxious so he played in the showroom while we waited. All the sales people were very friendly to him and us. The owner even came out to thank us for our business and say hello to our little guy. The day after the purchase James called me to make sure everything was going well with the MDX and that we had made it home safely. He then followed up with an email about a week later to check in on us again. A couple weeks after that I received an email from the owner thanking me again for our business and providing me with contact information for all their department managers (service, part, body, sales, etc.). This is an extremely well run dealership, every member of their team that we spoke with was very helpful and their follow-up has been exceptional. We will definitely go back to them for our next car purchase. I may even plan my scheduled maintenance around trips to Libertyville.
