The sale was easy. I knew what I wanted for the price I wanted to pay. The problem was that Burt out right lied to me about the car. As a result of that lie, I purchased a camaro with 18,000 miles on it. About 6 months after I bought the car, the clear started pealing. I took it to them, they said I had to go to a gm dealer because it was warranty work. Took it to gm and they informed me that the warranty was void because the car had been wrecked. They showed me how they new and I took it to a body shop to verify. The mechanic said that magic city would have to be incompetent if they couldn’t tell. Since they claim that they did a 100 pt inspection, they knew and chose to lie. I specifically asked Bart if it had been wrecked and he said no. When I went back to them to complain, they said they would fix it but it would cost me 1,000 after they took 500 off as a good faith offer. Already had an estimate for 950 elsewhere. They don’t take care of there customer at all. Everyone that I have told says “If I knew you were going there I would have stopped you. I have since stopped many from going there and will continue to spread the word. Simply put, they will tell you anything to make the sale and do not stand by there customer. The stupid part is, it would have cost them next to nothing to fix it but they have already lost a least 5,000 in profits from lost sale. Not the sharpest tools!

Jake showed me a Ford Escape. I liked the SUV and told him I would return with my husband to talk about it further. They were selling it to me for $6400. The sticker showed $8900, can’t recall the exact price. Called at 2 pm to tell Jake what time I would be there around 3:30. When we got there, someone else was looking at the same SUV and we had to wait to see if they wanted to buy it even though I looked at it earlier and had an appointment to see it again. Then we were told the other people were buying it. Found out they were selling it to them for $7800. The deliberately held us off to make the sale to the other people for more money. Very dishonest and unfair to sell the SUV out from under us while we were there for an appointment to test drive prior to purchase. Will never buy a car from them. Look out if you choose to, they are terrible people.
Terrible experience. I left upset and shaking all over. I would never recommend Magic City Ford to anyone for anything.
Horrible, Horrible customer service. Brought car in to replace the fuel pump we had installed there almost a year before, they supposedly put a new one in. We have had the car in there 5 times in 2 months, for the same issues. Finally they tell us the 2nd fuel pump was bad as well, and refuse to let us replace for free, claiming some loophole in a warranty that we never saw.
When we show up to take the car home then, again they hadn’t gotten permission to fix the car yet, we are told we cant take it off the lot or it will break down….
After meeting with the Service manager, they ended up giving us a new fuel pump. Instead of setting up another appointment to fix the car, they inform us it had already been fixed. So basically they held our car hostage trying to milk more money out of us, when it wasn’t needed, and lied about it.
We also have reasons to believe the original fuel pump was never replaced, due to the fact the car seat needed to be moved to get to it, and it wasn’t. This past time it was. The manager had to answer for that, yet wouldn’t find out either. We also think they unnecessarily replaced an EVAP controller that was supposedly the issue before, when now upon getting the same exact code again on the diagnostic, it is suddenly the fuel pump again…
Very deceitful company, will never take a car there again. If the issue arises again, I will take it elsewhere, and charge Magic City for it, and take it to court if need be. I have plenty of ammo.
The people were so helpful with my issue. Would highly recommend them to anyone needing service.;)
WORST DEALERSHIP IN THE ROANOKE VALLEY.
UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT THAT DOESN’T HAVE A CLUE OF HOW A CUSTOMER SHOULD BE TREATED.
MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR FRIDAY ON MONDAY DROP CAR OFF AT 8AM – CALL TO CHECK AT 2:30 PM AND THE HAVE NOT EVEN TOUCHED THE CAR SWITCHED OVER TO VOICE MAIL LEFT MESSAGE DEALER CALLED BACK AT 4:00.
I HAVE DEALT WITH THIS DEALERSHIP SENSE 1987 . THE CHANGED MANAGEMENT A GOT RID OF THE PEOPLE THAT BUILT THE DEALERSHIP AND PUT SOME CLUELESS PERSON AS A MANAGER.
IN THE SHORT TIME THE NEW MANAGEMENT HAS BEEN IN CHARGE THEY HAVE TOTALLY DESTROYED CUSTOMER LOYALTY .
DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR DON’T BY AMERICAN CARS UNTIL THE FOREIGN CAR MAKER COMPLETE THEIR DEALS WITH OUR NEW PRESIDENT. BUY IMPORTS AN YOU WILL SEE THE DIFFERENCE IN WORKMANSHIP AND DEALER LOYALETY MY MAZDA WAS MADE IN A FORD PLANT USEING SOME FORD PARTS SAME PARTS AS ON THE NEW FORD FOCUS.
