My Lexus of Silver Spring reviewI brought my Lexus in for a key replacement on 5/17/2011. They replaced the key, battery, and ,supposedly, did some other work. The total bill was $1881.09. Few days ago 6/22/2011), they called me from Lexus of Silver Spring to tell it was done and I needed to pick it up. So I went to pick it up, turnes out, my bumper is brocken, piece is missing, and the left headlight is not working. The employees of the place – mechanics, managers, general manager, all denied that those damages were done at their shop and re not willing to repair or cover the cost of repair. They said that probably towing truck did that, but I am positive that the damages werent there when I saw it in their shop last time, a week after it was dropped off by towing truck. I really dont know what to do. None of the employees at the dealership are being helpful. I have a feeling, that someone had been driving that car before they called to tell me it was done. And, now they are trying to cover themselves up. They won’t let me see surveiliance cameras, and not taking any responsibilties for what had happened at their shop. The general manager says he believes his mechanic, because he has worked there for 25 years, and assumes that I am lying.
And, another thing, they never gave me a total estimate for the service, in the first place. Every time they called, after the car was dropped off it was “probably this much” – a different price. I said, do everything you need, just want my car up and running. And how could they call me to tell it was done, if the left headlights is not working and the bumper is messed up?
I am not trying to get something for free or get money out of the company. I just want my bumper and the left headlight as it was before I took it to Lexus of Silver Spring.

My Lexus of Silver Spring reviewWe took our car in for the 5,000 mile service and had some scratches fixed on the rims. They were great as usual. Everyone is always so curtious and helpful. Definitely a huge difference in the other dealerships I’ve dealt with in the past 20 years!:D

My Lexus of Silver Spring reviewLexus of Silver Spring provides first class treatment. From the moment we walked in the door we were cheerfully greeted by everyone. Alex even provided my 5 year old with a gift pack containing stickers, coloring pages, crayons, etc. to keep her satisfied. By the time we left she had made fast friends with all the staff. I’ve purchased several new cars, from all other makers and the experience with Lexus of Silver Spring was by far the most impressive…:)

My Lexus of Silver Spring reviewFinance manager Greg Matson approved my financing for a new Lexus. He then called me back a 30 days later to tell me my financing was not successful. I had a trade-in that had not been paid for because I was not officially approved for the new car loan. So then I was faced with no new car loan and having missed payments on the car I traded in to them. He asked me for $8000 down, I said no way, give me my old car back. The complaint is that he lied about my new car loan approval which caused me to be late on several payments of the trade-in vehicle. In the end he had no choice but to approve my loan because he had already sold my old car. Greg Matson needs to be fined and fired. I have already filed 2 complaints about him to the FTC and 3 complaints to Lexus. Apparently Lexus tells me that all of their dealerships are franchises and that they can’t officially make a dealer do something. They told me that they will certainly bring it up however, at the dealership’s anual review. On a personal note, Greg Matson should not be allowed to work with people. He did not smile once in the 5 times I’ve met with him. I think he is quite insecure actually and he is trying to over-compensate. It’s also obvious he hates his job. He is also not good at it even though he has over 20 years experience. I’ve pointed out to him that he has contradicted himself several times in what he was telling me, and not once was he able to defend himself. Really not a people person, this Greg Matson Character.
