Dropped off my car the previous night for a morning appointment. Thought they would have looked it first thing in the morning and have an answer for me in a timely manner, but instead I had to call and check on my car myself. At first when I called they were busy so I called again an hour later, left a message since the service advisor that wrote up the service order was not available, he finally call me back after 3 p.m. To find out that there was service recommendations required at over 2400 dollars. Some of the recommendations were good but when he spoke on things that I had done less then three months ago I started to question everything else they told me, so I declined the services and picked up my car. Attention to all Land Rover and Jaguar Owners: If this is the type of service you are looking for, go to this place they seem to be experts at racking costs for unnecessary work. To the owners: it’s a damn shame your selling two great brands. Please re-evaluate the service department.
Most of our issues arose after the actual sale. The car was dropped off to us because of a new baby in the house with NO gas in the tank, literally the near empty light was on, and the first time we got into our 2006 LR3 the windshield wiper broke off. A week later, a friend checking out the car said, “did you know your tires are bald, and are very dangerous?”. Being a woman and trusting that the “rigorous safety inspection” that they put the car through passed, I never dreamed it would not have been disclosed that there were nearly bald tires on the car. Taking the car back into West Chester dealership and demanding new tires, we learned that it also needed an alignment (which we later found out through a new mechanic, was never done even though they said they would take care of that also.) EVERY person we encountered there was rude and uninterested in resolving these problems, they did not even want to give us a loaner car.
A week later, I was pulled over because our temporary tags were blocked by a large Landrover West Chester frame, which is apparently illegal. We then discover that we could not get our tags, because it had no PA inspection after they told us that they had preformed the inspection and it had passed (but no sticker). Being new to the state of Pennsylvania and having no idea how to get tags and registration, I found it very frustrating. The car is a 2006, and had only 1 key available, we were promised a second key would be ordered (never happened- after repeated attempts of asking where it was). There was some warranty work that we were told by our sales person that it would be “no problem to have done”- completely untrue. After my husband and I buying 11 different cars, we have absolutely NEVER been treated so poorly by a “upper class” dealership. I would not reccomend this place or these people to my worst enemy and I hope there president googles and finds this review.
