I never seen a high end place so unprofessional in my life. I have two problems that happen with avid ford southfield. Problem number 1 was, I took my ford car into the service department because my intrustment cluster failed. This was a $780.00 job that I expected to be done the correct way. They installed the cluster. When I got home which is 5mins away I noticed they programmed my mileage 7,000 miles over. I call my service provider and explained the problem. (forgot his name cause I sure would put it up here). He told me he will call me back, which he did and left a voicemail saying you could bring the car back in and we will take care of it. I contacted him back then that’s when all the trouble started he said I checked with my manager and he said we CAN’T do anything because we would have to replace the whole thing. This is all because he got the actual mileage last 3 digits mixed around. I got in contact with the owners of that avid ford which was so un professional I really couldn’t believe it. I went back and forth with them for a whole month, until I just got fed up and told them I was getting papers ready to them to court. It took them 1 1/2 mon.after I had went back and forth with them for a mon. Just to fix it. I had to pretty much threat them saying I will take them to court and I had already contacted Fox 2 news which had the story picked up already. Once they heard I contacted FoX 2 news they changed their mind then.
Problem 2
Took my car into quicklane VERY unprofessional. Needed brake pads, rotors and calipers in the front. I was quoted 479.95 plus tax. Out the door. Came back to get the service done. I mentioned to them I had a warranty from through dealer I purchased my car from. Came to pick up my car expecting to pay the 479.95 plus tax. My warranty company covered my calipers which were 100.00 a side, that adds up to 200.00 for both. I do have to pay for tax and a 100.00 deductible. Which would have made my total 379.95 plus tax they tried to tell me I own them 624.94 plus tax. Wow. Guess what they said ( we told you 479.95 because you didn’t say you had a warranty) they were trying to get over on me big time they want me to pay 624.95 and they had already got 200.00 from my warranty. Next step is I go outside to start my car up it don’t start. I was there 3 hours when I was just coming to pick up my car. Then they told me to come back because they had to charge it up because the service guy left my key in the ignition. Came back 2 hours later. Got home my remote start didn’t work any more had to go back they told they don’t deal with aftermarket remote starts I had to go back to the place that did it. I told them NO you are tonights fix it here. Had to leave again come back in 1 hour. VERY AGAIN THE LAST TIME THEY WILL EVER SEE MY FACE. STAY AWAY PLEASE. IF You LOVE YOUR CAR DON’T GO
