We were treated very nice prior to buying, but not so, 5.5 weeks later when I called about a engine light coming on. We had talked to another Kia dealer locally to where we live and they said to call Jake Sweeney back, it being so close to the 30 day warrenty and that the dealership might help with the problem but if not, call them back and they would give me an appointment to bring it in to be checked. I called and talked to the same sales man who we had used in our purchase of our van. I explained to him the problem and that Car Town Kia said it would be worth a call to see if they could possibly help us to see what the problem with the engine light was and that Car Town Kia said that Jack Sweeney might give us a break it being so soon after buying it. He was rude and told me that the manager said to take it to the other Kia dealership and see if they fix the problem for free. I was so shocked by this, I said nothing and hung up. Car town Kia had been very friendly and were just trying to help. We took the van in and we were so impressed with the service center and their help and they fixed our problem very quickly. Was nothing more than a crack in a hose that caused 9 codes to show on computer at autozone which is where we took it to have checked when the light came on. While van was in service being fixed, we looked around at Car town kia and ened up leaving with our van and a brand new 2013 Kia Soul Exclaim which we love. All our business will now be with Car town Kia in Nicholasville, Ky. Jake Sweeney lost our business and we will not be back. Treatment of customers folloowing a sale means alot and it cost your business a sale since if we had been at your service center for the repair, your business would have gotten our business again ! I would give a 0 rating if I could!
Car Town Kia in Nicholasville, Ky. has a great group of people in sales and sevice from what we have seen. They even have followed up on us numerous times to just make sure we are happy with our purchase. Jake Sweeney Kia never called or contacted us at all after our purchase of our van from them.
By the way, we do love the van we bought from you, just not the treatment you give your customers. I totally agree that some customers can get pretty rude, but I was very nice to Trent and never demanded any help from your dealership. I was just asking and the response was not what I was expecting. He could have just told me that he checked with the management and they stick to the 30 day warranty. I would totally understand this 100%. But the response I received, still baffles me to this day as to why Trent got smart and rude to me for NO reason. Car Town Kia said that they would never allow a employee to talk to a customer this way for any reason.
