Vehicle was at the repair shop for over a month. Replaced a bunch of parts and when I asked what was done to my vehicle I was told “that information can not be disclosed” Still have the same issues and I’m done with Hoy-Fox. I’m contacting all my referals to let them know of the bad service that I received.
One would figure that walking into a luxury vehicle dealership would be a pleasurable experience. Unfortunately, this was not the case. We walked into the dealership with hopes of driving off in a new Mercedes. We were pressured and treated in rude fasion by the salesperson. I believe that wether you are selling a hamburger or a Mercedes, you should respect the opinion of the consumer and give them what they request. All we wanted was a vehicle with black interior and exterior. My wife was sure this is what she wanted. The salesperson began to condescend and disrespect my wife right in front of me. She stated that the only vehicle that matched our requests was being driven by the owners wife and she was not going to take her out of her car. I had to stop her and ask her to stop disrespecting my wife. We have never experienced such rude and demeaning treatment in any type of dealership and I was shocked to receive this treatment at Mercedes of El Paso. We got up to leave and the salesperon rudely walked away. It was an unbelievable experience that I hope other customers will not suffer.
ABOUT A YEAR AGO I WENT IN TO THE SERVICE DEPT BECAUSE MY 2001 JETTA WAS OVERHEATING. IT TOOK ABOUT A WEEK TO FIX THE ISSUE. THE REPAIR INCLUDED A REPLACEMENT OF THE COOLING SYSTEM, COMPUTER, AND OTHER PARTS. IT COST ME 1700.00. WHEN I PICKED UP MY CAR AND DROVE OFF THE LOTT, I NOTICED THAT MY SPEEDOMETER AND FUEL GAUGE WERE NOT WORKING PROPERLY. I CALLED THEM BACK AND MADE AN APPMT FOR THE NEXT MORNING. AFTER LEAVING THE CAR FOR A FULL DAY THEY TOLD ME THAT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER AND A SENSOR LEADING FROM THE ENGINE TO THE GAS TANK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF 1300.00. I ASKED IF THIS WAS A REPAIR THAT WAS AN EMERGENCY AND IF MY CAR WOULD SUFFER IF I DIDNT TAKE CARE OF IT RIGHT AWAY. THEY SAID NO, THE CAR WOULD BE FINE.
WELL ABOUT A WEEK AGO I REPLACED SOME LIGHT BULBS FOR THE REAR INDICATORS AND ALSO A FUSE FOR THOSE LIGHTS, AND JUST AS A COINCIDENCE I LOOKED AT OTHER FUSES AND AS IT TURNED OUT I REPLACED A FUSE FOR THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND FIXED THE ISSUE. SO I SAVED MYSELF 1280.00 BY CHECKING THE FUSE PANEL. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR MAKING SURE THAT I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO HOY-FOX FOR ANYTHING. IM LOOKING FORWARD TO DOING BUSINESS WITH MR DENNIS NEESSEN WHEN HE OPENS HIS VW DEALERSHIP.
the most expensive oil change in history. $300.00 for oil and tire rotation
Stay away from this service center. I had routine maintenance scheduled for end of October 2011. A service center employee called to ask if I could re-schedule the appt for 01 Nov 2011 b/c of scheduling conflicts. I agreed to reschedule on 01 Nov 2011 and asked if I could still use my coupon for $20 off service (which expired on 31 Oct 11). The service woman said yes, it’s no problem. Cool! How very nice of them! Well, when I dropped my car off, I mentioned that there was a slow leak in the right rear tire. At the end of the appt, they returned the car to me and said that they found a nail and patched the leak – free of charge! I was completely annoyed however, when they refused to offer the $20 coupon b/c it expired one day earlier…yet they told me ahead of time that they would honor it b/c the appt was rescheduled by them. One week later, my tire started leaking again. This time I took it to Discount Tires. They showed me how the tire had no evidence of ever being patched and they showed me the nail! When I looked at the invoice from Hoy Fox (I didn’t look at the itemized list the first time around), I discovered that they had charged me $20 for a tire patch…when they told me it was free! Next, I paid to have a fuel evaporative pump replaced back in June 2011. In November 2011, check engine light came on with fuel evap pump code and I had a local mechanic look at it. He found the fuel evaporative pump and said, “there’s no way that this was replaced in June 2011”. It was the original part and was in disrepair. Hoy Fox Volvo is a complete scam and I’m terrified to find out about other repairs they’ve charged me for but have not actually performed. I believe this operation to be downright criminal.
Is a disappointment when you paid a big invoice and the service is not done right. I will never recomend any one to use Vovo and Mack dealer in El Paso, TX. If you are in need of using them services all I can say beware.
Unless you like harrasing dealerships for when your car will be ready for service, and no customer service follow up on their behalf, then go to Hoy Fox. Good auto techs, but TERRIBLE customer service.
