I would never buy from Pauly Honda for an array of reasons. They are extremely unprofessional, deceitful, and disrespectful. I should have read these reviews before I went to see them. I had put a “refundable” deposit on a pre owned vehicle to hold the price while I was financed through my bank. The salesman was persistant for me to put money down to hold the vehicle and swore up and down that it was refundable. I called back after the weekend to tell him I was financed and that I found the same car for cheaper with more features and he told me he would not refund my deposit and that my only option was to use it at their dealer. I said that was BS and demanded my money back and he kept saying it was non refundable and that my gf and I were liars because he never said it was refundable. I asked to speak to the manager and he refused to let me talk to him on the phone. He became very abrasive and hostile on the phone and started being disrespectful. I hung up the phone and canceled the credit card payment (thankfully) and now I have made it my mission to ensure no one goes to this dealership. My salesperson was like Sybil, as soon as I started backing down his nice front turned into a jerk and claimed I was just using this an excuse. Its my money and I will chose to spend it how I wish. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE.
Pauly Honda’s management team is a collection of unprofessional hillbilly jerk-offs. Prior to going to the dealership, I had already made the decision that I wanted to buy two Hondas and had done all the research regarding the cars. When I arrived at the dealership, I was greeted by a young salesman named Alex who did a great job in explaining the attributes of the two cars I was going to buy. Alex created a very comfortable atmosphere and I was more than willing to buy the cars from him. Great job, Alex.
And then, Alex’s douchebag retard of a finance manager had to let his big ego get in the way and literally destroy the deal in the matter of seconds. As soon as Alex and I had a general price that we agreed upon, I asked what financing options were available. As expected, Alex went to Captain Dipshit and returned saying he was not allowed to give me financing options until the price was locked down. I replied that the terms and interest rate of the deal make all the difference in the world and to let his finance manager, a.k.a. Captain Dipshit, know that the only thing holding up the purchase was to know the terms of the financing. By the way, I had checked my credit report that morning and all three scores were above 780.
Alex went back to Captain Dipshit and returned saying this could not be done. This happened twice, even after I said, “Look, I want to buy the cars, but I just want to know the interest rates and terms.” The finance manager finally picked up his fruity skirt and harnessed enough balls to walk over, only to explain that he would not give financing terms until I agreed on a concrete price. I said the only thing holding up me agreeing to a price was the financing options and that it was perfectly logical to know what my monthly payments would be. He then said I was not “negogiating with integrity” and “this is a stage issue.” What a ****ing idiot loser. I should have known from the outset the guy was borderline retarded…his breath smelled like he used liquid dog shit for tooth paste and everything from his $5 tie to his double pleated Dockers (which he wore way too high) sucked.
Needless to say, at that point, I had enough and called Fletcher Honda in Chicago. If you are going to buy a Honda, go to Fletcher. On top of setting the bar as far as professionalism goes, they were completely upfront, spelled out all options and deals and most importantly, treated me with respect. Pauly Honda should beg the guys over at Fletcher to give them a tutorial in business, sales and negogiation. If Fletcher Honda were the New York Yankees, then Pauly Honda would be a drunken special-ed JV softball team from a po-dunk West Texas junior high.
Eat shit Pauly Honda…you lost out on two deals with a person who openly admitted he wanted to buy the car there on that day. Mr. Pauly Honda Finance Manager, whoever was dumb enough to give you that position should be buried alive. Not only do you completely suck at your job, you have the personality and business acumen of meth-addicated chimp with Downs Syndrome. Do yourself a favor, quit Pauly, sit in the middle of Milwaukee Ave and get hit by a bus. Actually, that would be more like a favor to humanity…douchebag.
Purchased a 2007 Honda Odyssey EXL with navigation and DVD – so a fully loaded mini-van. They offered a reasonable price and we mentioned we were traveling so would need the cross bars for the roof rack. John said that’s a separate option and we could do that later for $200 (not sure why he hadn’t simply added this to the price of the car). Went in to have the cross added and they gave us a price of $257 ($200 for the crossbars, $40 for the service). Can’t believe that after dropping over $30k (we even had financing already in place) that they wouldn’t cover the service. Right now, they’ve lost any future business (service and sales). Too bad, I need to replace my Toyota Corolla in a year.
