Fails to disclose body repair done in-house.
I purchased a 2016 Certified Pre-Owned MDX with 2,500 miles. I was sold this car as being “better than new” as it came with the extended warranty of CPOs but was for all intensive arguments a new car. I asked numerous times if anything was wrong with the car and was repeatedly told no.
I was given “Certified” paperwork showing the car was up to Acura CPO standards and that the only work done by Goodson Acura was an oil change, tire rotation, and detailing. 36 hours after delivery, I had a friend paint meter the paint to discover repair work had been done to the front fender.
Initially I was told by Goodson they did not know anything about the repair work. Then I was told they did know about it, they had actually repainted both the fender and bumper in house, but it was “just a scratch” that was repaired. When I pushed back to that explanation and pointed out that the fender and bumper were no longer aligned, I was then told it had been involved in a collision in a parking lot.
Not only was I intentionally deceived about what I was purchasing, the repair work that was done was deleted from their invoicing system so it would not detail on the invoice they gave me, although the two codes for the repair work do show up under deleted operations. I was further lied to about this invoice being the “reconditioning repair order” that is supposed to accompany the Acura Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle 182 Point Inspection Checklist and never given the actual required form as it would have detailed the repair work, something that was being hid from me. I was also given a Carfax they knew to be inaccurate as it did not list the repairs they did in-house. To add insult to injury, when confronted with their failure to disclose the damage, I was continually lied to until they were backed in a corner and had to fess up.
As a loyal Acura owner for over a decade, I thought I could trust the dealers charged to uphold Acura standards. The Acura Certified Pre-Owned Program is touted as one of the best in the industry but is based on the honor system. Simply put, Goodson Acura does not follow the program rules. This is very disappointing.
Emailed the dealership about a acura tl I was very interested in provided my cell phone number and email without them even emailing me he calls me and all he says is you already have a loan out for a car we dont deal with people like that in a nasty way and that was it diddnt care to talk about it or get any details. He refuses to respond to my emails as well very unprofessional and considering im a us soldier returning from afghanistan very unappreciated, let alone any one have to be put down like that. Beyond pissed.

We purchased a 2012 MDX from Joel and Paul. We had been looking for approximately four years at possibly buying an MDX and looked in 2009 at an RDX but delayed our purchase. Just a quick note to voice my appreciation for Dawn. I was looking a purchasing a vehicle that I had seen listed on-line. She was exceptional in her follow-up and follow-through. She was always accessible and answered every question that I had. She was aggressive but not pushy. Unfortunately, we did not consummate the transaction, but by no stretch was it because of Dawn – she was fantastic, through and through. Although she was clearly disappointed that the transaction fell through, she was extremely professional and courteous when I explained exactly why I would not go through with the sale.

I would highly recommend Goodson Acura to anyone interested in purchasing a new vehicle. My experience was excellent, and I will definitely come back to Goodson for another Acura in the future. In addition, the other people that I visited with at Goodson were also very professional and courteous. Don’t go there for service…they are all a bunch of liars, order wrong parts, and take 5x as long to fix the car as promised…then the car isn’t fixed as ordered. Run as fast as you can!!!:mad:

I test drove an Acura TL and TSX on Saturday with Brad. We talked on the phone Monday, I made an offer and she got very close to it. So I leased the red silver that was on the floor on Monday night. Brad was absolutely wonderful. He picked me up this morning, so I could get my Volvo that I will either turn in or may have found a wholesaler who will buy it from me for about 3k more than I could have gotten on a trade. He was a client who only wants used Volvo’s.
Brad is great! It was a great a buying experience with him.
Over the weekend I was checking out prices, when I saw the Kelly blue book thing which let you email 3 different dealers for quotes. I ended up coming back to Brad for his personality.
He was great to work with, and went the extra mile, by driving me over to get my other car. He also laid out the numbers two different ways so I could see I was better not trading my Volvo and either turning it in and paying the mileage or trying to sell it myself.
Ben in the service department was phenomenal! I actually took my 2008 MDX in for service and ended up leaving with a 2010 MDX. I don’t know how these guys do it but they do! Thank you.

I am very happy with the service and the car I got from Goodson Acura. I was visiting the dfw area from Little Rock, AR. I wasn’t originally looking for a new car but I happen to be driving through Irving and past this dealership when a few of their car caught my eye. So needless to say I had to stop in and check out their deals and obviously they gave me one that I just could turn down. I’m now the proud owner of a beautiful Acura TL. I feel this is going to be a great car for years to come and hope to back in the area so I can stop through and say hi to my new friends at Goodson!
