My Fair Oaks Ford reviewI came in for an oil change on a 2006 F-150 with the 5.4L V8. Out of habit I checked the oil level after the service was completed. The oil level was low (at the bottom line of the crosshatch). The mechanic had only put in 6qt of oil when the 5.4L engine takes 7qt. The issue was corrected, however, both the mechanic and the service writer stated they thought my truck took 6qt, but didn’t bother to look it up and check. I know an oil change is a simple service that doesn’t pay the mechanic as well as others, but it is a very important maintenance item and if a simple service is not done correctly I will not trust that shop to do any other service.
