Every since I met Mr. Kerbeck I wanted to purchase directly from his dealership. I took my previously owned 2004 SRX to they repair shop to have my alarm system restored to factory because it keep locking me out of my car and that’s when all H E double L hockey sticks broke out. Not only did they not fix my car, they first tried to charge me $125, I said ok. Then $647, I said ok. the next day I came to pick up my SRX and they said they didn’t do the repair because they made a mistake in the charge and now its $1050.00. Meanwhile I was at the sales office about to purchase a 2010 SRX and a 2009 ESV and I offered them 65,000. cash. They wanted the sticker price of $70,000. They actually let $65,000 cash walk away. My husband was soooo upset he told them to just start my SRX and we left. Now they are calling us. What kind of mess is that???
I have bought 4 new cars in my life and this was the worst experience by far. I felt like I was dealing with a used car dealership not a dealership that sells Bentleys.
I went in late during the week and spoke with a salesman. I told him I did not have time to sit and discuss the numbers but if he could put together some figures and email them to me that would be great. He said he would put the numbers together tonight and email me first thing in the morning. The following day I called him twice to tell him I never got the email. I never heard from him again.
The second salesman I dealt with, I only wish I never heard from him again. During the entire process he continually made off color remarks, inappropriate jokes and gave us his political opinions. Some of the jokes included “close the barn, drop your pants and bend over, we’re giving this one for free” and “mother nature is hitting the crack pipe”. He also showed my wife and I and inappropriate picture. These are not the things you expect when at FC Kerbeck buying a family vehicle.
Even after all of this, we decided to purchase the car. The price was ok and my wife really liked the car we chose. I received a call from said salesman and he informed me that I was “good to go” and that all I had to do was come in and sign the papers. When I got there, this was not the case. All of a sudden I didn’t qualify for certain rebates and such and I was not longer approved at that rate. My monthly payment had to be raised. I tried to leave but my wife calmed me down. Then the sales manager Denny M. went back and forth trying to make the numbers work. This is when our salesman showed us the picture. A picture of a man with no shirt, sitting on a hospital bed with a knife stabbed into his face. Nice visual while buying a car. At 7:35pm after the banks had closed he said “I am 90% sure you will get approved for this tomorrow or you can take it tonight at the inflated rate”. I left.
We came back the next day and bought the car at the original agreed upon rate. We left promptly. That night, within 15 miles after buying the car, it broke down in the middle of RT 73 with my 3 year old daughter and 4 month old son in the back seats. They sent out the salesman to inspect the car. They could not figure out what was wrong. I was told that someone would call me that night to assure me that this would be taken care of. I received no response.
The next day I sent an email out and only after that did I receive a call from Steve Willis. I told him I wanted to cancel the deal and I would not be buying for them unless I got a better model at a better rate. He assured me that he would put his “best foot forward” and get me what I deserved.
Since I already sold my other car and the other dealership could tell that something was wrong and proceeded to hold my feet to the fire, I was forced to buy from FC Kerbeck. I did get a little bit better of a monthly payment and a visa gift card but I told him I was not satisfied. Nothing further was given. Last week I got an email saying that a survey was coming to me and he hoped I would select “completely satisfied” and if I could not, let him know and he would fix it. I let him know I was not and his response was “well, I hope you can select completely satisfied”. I also recovered a letter from Lauren Kousombos stating the same thing. I called and spoke with her and she said she would look into it. She called me back and said “we are not offering anything else”.
This was the worst car experience I have ever had. You would be better off going to a used car lot than FC Kerbeck. They care more abut the customer satisfaction survey than actual customer satisfaction. Unless your buying a Bentley or a Lamborghini, go to another dealer.
THis place is no good. Dont buy a car from them. They treat customers like crap. THey dont return calls, they misplace paperwork, They lost my tags for my car and lied to me saying they were taking care of the situation and 2 weeks later i find out they’ve done nothing. Now my auto tags are god knows where and they dont care.I was told that i have to now take care of it and go to the DMV to request replacement tags. This place is a disaster. I dont care how cheap they advertise a car that you want, dont go there. You will only be taken for a ride and once the deal is over, your nothing. It’s a nightmare. Dont do it!!!

Loads of false promises. Be prepared to buy and never have to go back for anything. Get the auto checked out by a reputable mechanic before you purchase from them. The car I purchased was not driveable after 2 short drives. The car has now sat in my garage for 6 months. They have ignored my phone calls. When they did talk to me it was empty promises. Nice eh…Makes you feel proud of your purchase. $17,000 worth of worthless medal they wanted to clear off their lot.
bought 2 cars from kerbeck..a mercedes sl from rt 73 4 years ago..nice car..treated fairly..and just the other day a 2008 covette from atlantic city…beautiful car…i have no complaints at all..salesman dave brown was great…car is great…whole buying experience was a pleasure…i look forward to buying more cars from this dealer in the future
My fieance and I were willing to buy a car that day for her and when we heard about FC kerbeck half price deals though that sounds good. We found a jaguar that was for sale at about 15,000k. Nice car that we test drove and were willing to buy. When we sat down to go over the paper work I had just bought a mercedes for 17,000k with 3,000k down, so I financed 15,000k in the end with a monthly payment of $289/month. My Fieance was going to put 5 thousand down and finance 10,000k so her payments would be less than $289/month. When the salesmen came back with the paperwork he laid down a monthly payment of “ONLY $400/MONTH”. We laughed at him and got up to leave not willing to hear his second offer for a monthly payment. As we were leaving they tried to sell us a older more beat up jaguar with higher miles (the old bait and switch) that they said they would let us have for a much better price. After the first offer of $400/month and knowing they were trying to rip us off we decided to go to another dealer. Be Carefull
What I hate about what some dealers do like FC kerbeck if they get new cars in that are in demand like the Z06 corvette when it first came out. FC Kerbeck will sell it well over sticker price because they have it and nobody else does. I fell into that and paid over sticker on a Z06 vette and it was a stupid thing to do on my part but I learned a valuable lesson over it. when I wanted to trade it back they wanted to give me nothing for it like who cares what you paid for it stupid. They tried it with the new Camaro and I walked out of there and we bought the car at the auto mall in Turnersville at list. I will never go back there again ripp me off once shame on you, if I ever let you do it again shame on me!!!

All have been decent experiences.
Since I have been driving I have owned 42 cars since 1958 and I think I have enough automobile purchasing under my belt to make a qualified judgment in regards to FC Kerbeck.
I am sorry that the I hate Kerbeck fellow feels the way he does towards Kerbecks, but I am sure that there is a bit more to the story than what is found in his version.:)Mike
I purchased my 1999 GMC Sierra back in 98. I have to say I was treated very fairly and friendly with no pressure to buy. I still have the vehicle with over 278,000 miles on it. Replaced the trans at 249,000 miles, the alternator and battery about 3 years ago, the fuel pump about 6 years ago. Other than that the truck is original. Oh the clear coat is starting to peel off the roof. Exhaust is as it left the factory. I get close to 18mpg and does not burn oil. Great GMC, was treated excellent at FC Kerbeck even the times I was back for a recall. Almost forgot, the universal joints went first couple of months, factory’s fault not Kerbeck’s. I hope this review helps. There are negative sites out on the internet regarding this dealership, well if one reads them, it is everything a person should do before they go into to purchase a car, truck, major appliance etc. The one site even quotes prices Kerbeck gives and says after interest is paid the overall price is much higher. HUH?????? Did not understand that for the life of me. But anyway, this dealership is one that I had no problems with at all. Hope this review helps.
Reasons why I HATE FC KERBECK & SONS
Typical “price per month” only dealer – they won’t share the real numbers until you sign.
They treat you like a NUMBER not a customer - they are only concerned about making their weekly, monthly, yearly quota for number of cars sold. Once they sell you a car, they will forget who you are.
Their cars are over-priced – don’t be fooled by their monthly specials and sales. Check the Kelly Bluebook value prior to buying a car from FC KERBECK.
They push your hot buttons - their salespeople will play on your emotions especially if you help them by revealing your hot buttons.
They will get you to “Buy it TODAY!” – They will go to great lengths to give you the impression that you must buy today or else you will lose the car or the deal or some other thing.
They won’t call you back - FC KERBECK never called me once to let me know that my car was ready to be picked up after being serviced. I even showed up to the dealership to find out the status of my car and no one knew where my car was, or if it was ready to be picked up. I told FC KERBECK that I will not come back until someone gives me a call. I NEVER GOT A CALL.
Their “Not-So 100% Money Back Gaurantee” – I bought a car on a Wednesday and returned it on Saturday to have a punch list of items to be fixed (which they said should only take 1-2 days). Six days later I still didn’t hear back from FC KERBECK. On the seventh day, I tell them I no longer want the car. They said that since I returned the car for service (service that they originally agreed to do when I bought the car) that it no longer qaulified for the money back gaurantee.
Everyone else hates FC KERBECK - No seriously! After I purchased my car from FC KERBECK, I told people where I got my car from and 75% of them said… “What are you crazy?”; “Why would you buy a car from FC KERBECK?”; “I’ve heard bad stories about them.” If you don’t believe it… tell 15 people that you are thinking about buying a car from FC KERBECK, and hear what they have to say.
