Poor buying experience. I received an excellent deal but then they tried to reneg and told me they priced the car to low. From that point it was nothing but problems and deceit. Very disappointed for what started out to seem like a good transaction ultimately felt like a typical car sale! Also, my vehicle, sold as a used vehicle with 1194 miles on it is supposed to have an inspection sticker on it since it is considered used, does not!
was blatantly lied to about the used car warranty….never honored their end of the bargain…just a pack of hustlers that don’t care about their customers..i advise all to shop elsewhere
BUYERS BEWARE, BUYERS BEWARE!
I purchased a 2008 Dodge Caravan from Elmwood Dodge in November of 2010. I have had a list of problems with this vehicle since day one. First I had a fuzzy radio/screen which was replaced free of charge-as was agreed upon when signing papers. I asked for the vehicle to be cleaned before it was delivered (which didn’t seem like too much to ask) and they delivered the vehicle filthy– with remnants of the previous owners beneath the seats: games, toys, and French fries-disgusting.
Upon signing the papers they offered me “free” oil changes for a year, which I ended up having to pay for 10x over in vehicle service over the past year. Their “free” oil change is their bait to reel people in.
After owning the car for a couple of months, the van began sounding like an airplane taking off— there was an issue with the both HUBS and the dealership gave me a quote of $455 to fix it-but-by the grace of GOD, I was sent a letter from Chrysler corp. saying due to the number of complaints, they extended the warranty to cover this issue, the loud noise went away but then the check engine light kept coming on. I brought it in and then they told me that they needed to replace the EGR valve and gasket, which cost me ($271) and the leaking windshield remained a problem. I also told them that it was clear that the electrical issues stemmed from the leak in the windshield, that’s when Jay let me know that the window was replaced before they sold it to me so they would fix it. After leaving it there for the day, they decided that they wanted to re-nig on the agreement to fix it. I ended up having to come out of pocket and fix it at another service shop.
The next issue was after I brought it in for an oil change again-my van started smoking profusely. I brought it back in and they told me that the coolant hose had a leak. Which ended up costing me another $185! After having the hose fixed, it was running very roughly, within a few days’ time, the transmission went!
This has been the WORST car buying experience I’ve ever had. This company doesn’t stand behind their product and they provide horrible customer service. They are extremely shady and unprofessional! I would not buy from them again!
I recently made a deal to purchase a new Jeep and trade my present one. They had looked at my trade 2 times prior to making this deal. I left the dealership while they were doing paperwork. 45 minuted later they called me and CANCELLED the deal. Not only did they not want my trade, they did not want to sell me the car. I think they suddenly had a Buyer who offered to pay more for the car. don’t trust these people. This was a cASH sale, so no other excuses.
Not 3 stars!! 0 stars!
We are absolutely frustrated with this place. They have horrible customer service and do not own up to their mistakes, which will end up costing us thousands of dollars to fix, over a “simple” oil change.
My mother has been a loyal consumer and brings her Durango there to get regular oil changes. This past week she went in for an oil change, drove the vehicle home fine, then the next day it would not start. We had to tow it there, only to have them say they were not responsible and that they would charge us to check it out. After towing it to yet another place, the mechanic informed us they did not put on the correct filter which caused damage to the engine. I’m not very car savy, not sure of all details of what exactly happened, but it was directly their fault and they will not take responsibility for it, which will now cost us over a thousand dollars worth in repairs. On top of that they had awful customer service.
I DO RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!
A history of lies and problems with a horrible dealership: They were an Allstate Approved Facility -LIE. They had a body shop and had experts who could repair my wife’s rare sports car.-LIE Her car was finally repaired after many months of waiting-LIE. They did not take the car for a joy ride and ruin turbos and engine-LIE. They did not threaten to damage our car if we did not remove it from the lot after demanding that they repair the damage. LIE They did not vandalize the car. I caused a disturbance at their dealership which needed police intervention_ LIE. They had nothing to do with our license plates being stolen. -COINCIDENCE? They were not involved with a drive by shooting of a house.-COINCIDENCE? They don’t know what happened to my wife’s car after waiting since 2003 for them to bring me to court over this dispute. LIE
😡
They are dishonest! If you care your car, never go to this sucking place!
This dealer is awful to deal with. They never like dealing with after market warranties and when you tell them to call them (The After market company), it is like you are asking for the last day on earth. They do not like going through extra steps with the customer. They DO NOT go out of their way to help, in any fashion or manner! The Service Advisor Robin that works there is the WORST, I have ever dealt with…She must know someone to still be working at this dealership!
