So let me preface this by saying I usually don’t write reviews, but in this case I feel it is warranted. I was in the market for a new (to me) car and spent time at a few local dealerships test driving different models. At every dealership before Langway I got the same “now, what can we do to get you in this car today” treatment. In my internet research, I found a 2011 Ford Taurus that had all of the options I wanted. I begrudgingly made the trek over to Langway to take a look. Upon walking in, I was greeted by Mr. Haynes with a smile. I told him the car I was interested in and I wanted to take a look and he said “Why don’t we drive it instead?”. Nice line, honestly. I told him I wasn’t fully committed to buying the car yet and I was still in the investigation phase. He said not a problem at all, he was glad to help me in my search. We took the car for a drive and it was pretty much exactly the car I had been looking for, but there was still one more model of car I wanted to drive before I made the decision. I told Dave about this and he said “Not a problem, I understand completely. You’re making a big purchase and you want to be sure about what you’re buying”. That right there is how car sales should be. So 3 days went by and I decided that the Taurus was the car for me. I called up Dave and said I wanted to bring my truck in for trade appraisal and purchase the car if things went well. I brought the truck down and while I still feel the trade price they gave me was a little low, they at least explained why the offer was what it was and I accepted that. It was fair given what they pointed out. I had to remember they’re in the business to make money – so what seems like an insignificant defect to me might not be to the next buyer. So after we finally decided on the deal and a fair price for the car (which was VERY fair), we waited for financing. This was the ONLY negative experience the whole time. We sat by ourselves for almost an hour waiting to speak to the finance person. I thought the wait was a bit excessive, but if that was the worst experience I had then not a problem. When we finally got into financing, Brian Meola explained all our options for warranties, our rate, and terms of the loan. I’m not a person to ever buy extended warranties, but I appreciated his no hassle sales pitch. He explained the benefits and what they covered without pushing it onto us, he was just being informative so we could make an educated decision. I still decided against the warranty and there were no hard feelings from Brian. He did what he could to make it worthwhile for us to purchase without being negative. He didn’t pull any of the normal clichés salesmen use when trying to sell a warranty. It was actually easier than Best Buy believe it or not.
Anyway, the deal went through and I was very pleased with the whole experience. I even met the owner Jim Langway who is a fantastic businessman genuinely concerned about customer service. I have absolutely no problems recommending Langway Ford for any new or used car purchases.
i traded in a cadillac for a ford taurus limited 2010,the battery was dead, they put a brand new one in.then i told them i needed an inspection sticker, they rejected my sticker because the rear tires were worn out on the inside part of the tire you cant see looking at.they orderd me two brand new tires and had them in two days, put them on and gave me a sticker all at no charge,i love this car everything in it works. i have gotten many compliments on the car with 19 inch chrome rims really makes the car, also the white metallic paint makes it a sharp looking car.i would definetly recomend this dealer,im 100 percent satisfied by them.
Have purchased all my cars from the owner of this dealership for the past twenty or so years. Could not be happier with each and every experience. Service is great in every way
I had been looking for a brand new 2011 Mustang GT for months, I had found the car of my dreams at Langway Ford. I saw their car online and had to go in and see it. Upon arriving I was greeted by a nice man who gave me the “No Hurry” impression which made me feel great. I felt this was going to be a great time to buy a car. The car they had was perfect every option, great coloring and a convertible. I knew I wanted to buy this car. Their General Manager, Harold, gave me the best price I had seen, especially for a new 2011. I ended up buying the car, no trade, and drove home the same day in my BRAND NEW Mustang GT! I would definitely recommend this dealership.
Langway Fords prices were the best and most agreeable I had ever seen in a car dealership. Their non-gimmick approach when selling you a car is what made me visit the dealership for my new car. Everything they did made my experience great with no usual car dealership pain. My salesman made my time easy and quick with a lot of good information. His knowledge of the vehicles was amazing and he had a truthful answer to all my questions. I will definetly go back for my next car! I am now a big fan of the Langway Ford experience.
I had been searching for a brand new Ford Focus for a few weeks. I had contacted many dealerships checking prices and availability. Most dealers I checked did not have the car I wanted and prices way out of my range. I had finally found the car of my dreams at Langway Ford. I had time one day after work and decided to stop in to see if the Focus was still available. Upon immediate arrival I saw the car and was approached by a very nice salesman. The process of viewing vehicles at Langway Ford was relaxed and peaceful. The prices they had to offer were perfect and completely fair. I was never pressured to “Buy Right Now”, I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a relaxed and fun experience when buying a brand new car.
I just bought a car for my son to go back to college. We only paid $8000.00 due to a limited budget, however everyone treated us as if we had purchased a much more expensive vehicle. Shortly after we picked up the car we had a few small issues with the car however the service department was extremely accommodating and made all of the repairs at no charge. I will definitely go back to Langway Ford for our next vehicle.
I recently purchased a brand new 2011 Ford F-150 from Langway Ford. The price I paid was much lower than another local dealer had quoted me and it was done without any negotiation necessary. They made my buying experience a great time and something I would love to do again. This is how car buying should be!
I recently purchased two vehicles at Langway Ford and found the overall car experience to be professional, complete and positive in all aspects.
I have been purchasing new and used vehicles for many years and as a female have always done research via phone, internet, ads ect to avoid “high pressure” face to face negotiations with showroom salesman. I was greeted and educated on the vehicles I was interested in with patience and respect and was given alternative options to also look at in the same price point WITHOUT your stereotypical “cheap, dishonest” will do/say anything to sell a car tactics. I have honestly not used the service department yet however have NO reservations after being given a tour of the clean, customer friendly, state of art equipment facility by the service manager that they will continue to execute a quality service experience as well.
I highly recommend the dealership and “Langway Experience” and look forward to my ongoing patronage with them.
I went to Lanway Ford to purchase a used car. I asked if the car had ever been in an accident and I was told it wasn’t. The carfax on it was also clean. I took the car to my own mechanic, and he immediately saw that the car had front end damage from an accident. The staff at the dealership was friendly, but unfortunately I didn’t find them to be honest at all. I didn’t buy the car I was looking at from them and will not ever go back.
To preface, this is a Ford dealership and I was buying a non-Ford SUV which I thought initially may have been the problem but soon realized that was definitely not the case…
Like any used car dealership you are greeted with open arms. The place is filled with a bunch of sleezy salesmen, worse than the usual. I was in a hurry to purchase an SUV before the new year as I had already sold my car so was ok settling for around the listed price.
Having purchased vehicles from dealers in the past, this was by far the most painful. When settling down to talk details about financing, final purchase, etc. I was promised one thing and then ended up fighting with “finance” not to obtain a lower price or rate but just the one I was promised by the dealer. Again this is when you walk away but I was desperate and this SUV is fairly rare in this area so was a little more invested.
I did purchase the vehicle and it was like stepping off a cliff from here. Once they had my sale the tables turned a full 180. I had to call at least four times a day regarding registration and RMV 1 form needed for my insurance(part of delay was my insurance but only worsened by Langway). They lied in telling me they had spoken to my insurance and taken care of everything so that the next day I would learn I should have been more on top of them. I guess I figured that if I spent near $50,000 these basic things would be taken care of.
The vehicle was detailed and ready for me four days later. This I found out by calling the dealership at the end of my work day because they obviously had made no effort to notify me. I get there only to wait three hours! This was because nothing had been prepared including registration, gas, etc as promised by the dealer and confirmed again by a second phone call on the way…While waiting in there debilitated “customer care area” I received only more fueling for this post. A rude and completely inconsiderate dealer walked in to change a news channel reporting the upcoming weather we were watching to put on what he felt like watching. When one of the only persons in that whole place with half a brain reminded him of his inconsideration he simply replied “i don’t care what they want”. I mention this petty interaction in their dumpy waiting area only to highlight the general air of Langway Ford.
As I finally get into my SUV I almost stroked out! My gas gauge was on E….EMPTY!!!! The smucks put gas in my tank and then drove it around taking care of what should have been done before I got there. Of course I was ripped and turned around to address this. I barged into the manager’s office, Harold, who is unfortunately under the illusion that he works for the president explained to me that they only place $10 in the gas tank on used cars. This SUV was worth more than any one of their crappy Fords and after the run around and wait of 7 hours in two days figured that there would be an exception to the rules. As you guessed, no exception or attempt at good service. The dealer offered me $20 and i laughed and walked out.
My SUV is under warranty else I would never have thought about following through with purchase as even the thought of dealing with these jerks sends paralyzing chills down my spine.
I am not one to leave reviews, don’t even leave feedback half the time on ebay purchases but these guys pissed me off beyond belief and hope others learn from my mistake.

I brought my car in for repair in July for the second time because it was sputtering. I was told by the service department that my car was unsafe to drive. I explained that the car was in before for the same problem and was told it must have gotten worse, for which I replied it was the same shuttering as it had been. (The first time my husband asked during an oil change in May to have someone take a look at it because of the sputtering. He was told there was nothing wrong with it.) So apparently I was driving around for 5-6 weeks thinking the shuttering was normal when in fact Ii was driving in an unsafe vehicle. Anyway the repair took 23 days. Langway claims a part needed was on backorder. Every time I called for an update on my car, I was reminded that they gave me a loaner car at their expense. As if that made if ok to keep my car for as long as they did. My car still sputters now although not as bad or as often as before it was “fixed”. So my husband scheduled another service appointment for August 20. When he showed up to drop off the car, Peter, the Service Advisor told my husband that he would have to drive around with a technician to identify the problem because Peter claimed that they fixed my car, and that we were lying about the problem because we were unhappy with our purchase. (I could see maybe if we had just bought it, but we purchased it in March of 2013.) Anyway, my husband told Peter that he did not have time to drive around and that it should be the service department’s responsibility, Peter then said he would not accept my car for service. I will gladly find another dealership to work with. So I would just advise anyone thinking about buying or servicing with Langley to look elsewhere because they are just a horrible dealership with horrible customer service. I mean really who wants to be called a liar when you’re just trying to get your car fixed so you can feel safe driving it?
