Went to this dealer today to look at a car for my daughter. Told the salesman our budget was around 3000 cash. He told me what he had on the lot for our price range. One of the cars he was telling us about was a 1997 Mercury tracer with 86000 miles for 3000. I told him that’s too much for a 1997 model car and I wasn’t interested in that vehicle. He went complete asshole after that. telling me if I wasn’t interested in that car he doesn’t have anything on the lot for me. that car is is marked at the market value etc. The cars suggested retail price on KBB was 2200. I told him we were leaving, he didn’t want to show us anything else. He starts telling me as we’re walking to my truck to leave, that they sell 150 cars per month so they’re doing something right. I told okay that’s good, but I’m not buying one from them. He yells as he’s walking in the door. We wouldn’t sell you a car anyway.
When we got there to test drive the car I had seen online it already had its check engine light on. We asked them to check it and they said they thought it was misreading something so they would reset it and if it came back on then they would look into it more. So we went ahead with the process. Buying the car wasn’t very hard, but I think that should have been my first clue that something wasn’t right. He just kept having me sign paperwork and not really explaining things to me. I gave him my car as a trade in and we agreed that I would come back to give him the title for my car and to have the engine checked if the light came back on. Of course the check engine light came back on. Then when I went to drive it that night I found out the headlights didn’t work. No one should ever be able to sell someone a car without headlights. That is incredibly unsafe and would not pass any inspection. So after realizing he downplayed the check engine light and was willing to sell someone a car without working headlights I decided to have someone check out the car. It turned out the car needed a lot of repairs. So I took the car back expecting the three day buy back would mean I could return this car. Then I found out he only meant I could return it if the engine or transmission completely failed. He didn’t care about the fact that I had a list from a licensed mechanic saying there was a ton of things wrong with the car. In fact he yelled at me and told me none of those things needed to be fixed. Even though the check engine light was on. And he never apologized for sending me home with a car without headlights. So he tells me he’s charging me for returning the car. Then he surprises me with the fact that he had already begun repairs on my old car even though he didn’t have the title. So now I had to pay for those repairs that I hadn’t planned on doing. Finally after being yelled at and charged for all of these things I got my car back. But when I got in my car I realized all the stuff I had left in the car was gone. So I went and asked for them back. They gave me a pile of stuff saying that was everything. I realized my phone charger was gone so I went back in for that. Then I made the stupid mistake of believing that was really all they had taken out of my car. When I got home I realized that they had kept my GPS, my two ice scrapers, my umbrella, and other miscellaneous small things I had left in there. This dealership only has one goal…get cars off the lot. They don’t care about the customer or their safety. In fact if you do something they don’t like then they yell at you which I find very unprofessional. They also don’t seem to care about their cars. The car I was going to buy was 2,000 miles overdue for an oil change. If you buy from these people then check everything you can possibly think of. Even if they say it’s been inspected. Check the things that seem obvious. If a dealer will sell a car without working headlights then who knows what else they will sell.
Todd, the owner, has real anger issues. Purchased a vehicle from him and have fought for over 6 months to get a title. With the police present, he finally agreed to order a new title only to send an email later stating he decided to change his mind.
Had numerous problems with him not properly accounting payments made. Screaming phone messages. Ugly mess. Do not ever do business with him unless you are bigger and stronger. Seriously feared for my safety on numerous occassions.
This young lady purcahsed a van two years ago.She financed her van through my business because of poor credit. At time of sale she was provided with a title, “i have a signed copy with her signature”and all paperwork needed to register her van. The sale was reported to the state just like the other 800 vehicles we sell annually. Unfortunately she was delinquent on her payments and wrote my company two insufficient fund checks “also have those copies” and her van was reposessed. This account was subsequently sold to a high risk finance company after the repo. This customer decided to not pay her sales tax and register her van and now wants to blame my company for it. Cars Plus Credit has great reputation for a used automobile dealer. We are a member of the Better Business Bureau with an A rating and have many positive reviews on cars.com and other reputable sites. We strive to provide the highest quality autmobiles and customer service after the sale is my top priority. It is just unfortunate that a person of this character has a forum to smear the name of reputable businesses and hard working people.

Good to deal with. Told us everything he knew about the car. Kept his promise after the sale. Will buy from him again.

Bought a car from Todd. He made many promises and guarantees that he refuses to keep. His attitude was terrible and he sold us a car that had problems he tried to cover up. I wouldn’t trust this guy. I realize that some people have good luck with him, but remember you could be the next bad one he tries to rip off. I would stay away!
Mr.HTSRIK saw my 2006 buick terraza on cars.com. He flew in from New York and i picked him up at the airport, brought him to my business where he drove the van, paid for the van, purchased a warranty and drove it home to New York. Next day he calls and says there is an emissions problem. He wants me to send him the money to repair the problem. Unfortunately i am not going to just send someone in New York a check for a problem i am not sure even exists. I requested a qoute and a call from a reputable national service facility, Firestone, Midas
Pep Boys, etc. to explain the problem and we would proceed from there. No response from anyone. Three days later he cancelled his warranty for a refund. Not real sure but i believe this New York City boy thought he could scam a country boy from the midwest. NOT GONNA HAPPEN

Sold us a 2001 HyundaiXG300. Drove out of the dealership (without a title that they said would bethere in a few days. Actually, I understand that’s not legal and we didn’t geta title for almost 28 days!). Went to a service station and discoverd you couldn’tput gas in! It shut off after about one third of a gallon! Called immediately(like 10 minutes after we bought the car) and they claimed they knew nothingabout this and Todd promised they’d fix it. Took the car back and they claimedto have fixed it and put in a new charcoal filter.
It wasn’t. Todd told us to take it to a Hyundaidealer and find out what was wrong. What we found out was that Todd hadn’treplaced anything and that many things had to be replaced in order for the carto every be able to get gas in it! 5 valves, the charcoal filter they claimedto have replaced. Also, there was a problem with the throttle that was about toput the car into limp home mode (they didn’t know about that either – yeahright) plus two different shops said the brake shoes and the rotors were bad.
When I called and told them I’d spent $800 on thegas problem, they offered to swap me for another car but had to look on the lotand see what was available, then call back the next day. However, they nevercalled back UNTIL I had registered with Better Business Bureau.
Offered me very expensive Warranties for whichnone of the exclusions were available except if I went online. To my mind, that’s not really offering a warranty is it?
Bottom line, stay away and tell your friends toalso!
Mrs. ejimber is one person we could not satisfy. We offered her a different car or to refund her money. She did not want either.
