Just bought a 2013 Santa Fe. Great price and knowledgeable salesman. Perhaps the above people are the dead beats with shitty credit. 0% financing great deal..
Trying to get a car from Fucillo Kia on State St. in Schenectady was hands down the worst experience on all levels of all time at any car dealer. My car had a bad clutch and instead of fixing it I thought I may be able to avoid high repair costs and trade it in for a new car. We arrived at the dealer about 11:30am on a saturday and was very upfront and honest about the bad clutch and that we needed to keep payments on a new car around $350 a month or we would just fix the other car. Salesman tried to put us in a new soul for $530 a month i rejected it immediately and said this isn’t even close. For about the next 4 hours of waiting in an incredibly loud waiting area with music blaring to the level you couldn’t hear the salesman returned 20 different times with offers just as bad as the first. I finally said forget it we would get the old car fixed. At this point he said oh well if you can give me $500 down we can get you in that optima for $350 a month but we have to wait to talk to a different bank on Monday. Like an idiot I put the $500 down and gave them my keys to check out the old car. That night salesman sent me home with the wrong title to someone elses car and I had to go meet him to give him back the other persons title. Monday came I called and got the run around about the deal and how hard they are working on it. I said forget it and drove to the dealer to get my $500 back as well as my car. They then said oh just give them until wednesday because big bad Billy Fucillo will be in town and he will get the deal done as we want it. I reluctantly agreed. I called wednesday and every time I tried to talk to salesman he was busy until finally later in the day I asked to talk to his manager then suddenly salesman appeared on the phone asking for one more day to crunch numbers. I said no I want to get the other car fixed and be done I am wasting time and have no car in the meantime. He said one more day and we will be happy with deal done. I said ok but thats it. Thursday I call salesman out I call back receptionist tells me the salesman is down on a dealer swap in Hyde Park and she will have him call me back tomorrow so I ask for his manager and suddenly salesman who is supposedly in hydepark picks up and asks again for more time says he will have an official answer by 10am on friday. I start to lose it now realising that receptionist is covering for salesman as well as some guy brendan claiming to be a manager. All this time I am without a car and getting angry because they are holding my $500 and my car hostage. You would think a normal company would act apologetic over the ordeal but they all had major attitudes and it was clear none could care less. I agree that they have until 10am on friday and I will be there to get my $500 and car. I call friday morning and immediately ask for the manager who tells me they are close to a deal I said I don’t care anymore I want my $$ and car back and he got a tough guy attitude and said yeah I think thats best why don’t you just do that. So Friday 10am sharp I show up at the dealer and was told they lost the key to my car and that they had to have another key made. Now it starts to all make sense they have been stalling all this time until they either found the key or had a new one made. By this point I am bugging out mad and the salesman looks at me and says I will personally drive your car to the transmission shop when we get a key. I was told the gm was on vacation when I asked to speak to him and was given a salesmanager who had a major attitude and when talking about the lost key he kept refering back to the deal for a new car and he is not in business to lose money. I’m not sure what that has to do with the fact they lost my key. Finally they refunded my $500 and assured me they would have a new key and drop my car off at transmission shop by 4. I left cooled off a little and called back and left vm for salesmanager i spoke with offering a compromise of why not you guys fix my car get a key made and meet me in the middle and waive some of the labor costs, they never called back but they did call back at about 3:30 saying car was ready to be picked up I called bugged out again and they got someone to drive it tranny shop. I then called there corporate office to log a complaint and within 5 minutes the gm who was supposedly on vacation called me back and again with a major attitude asked what my problem was. Anyway this has been an extremely long rant but I *CAUTION* anyone thinking about buying a car from here please know you will be strung along, lied to, deal with the most incompetent people ever, have the worst customer service experience ever and there is no one you can go to about it because they all cover for each other. I realize anyone reading this doesn’t know me and will chalk it up to some looney who was wronged writing a bad review but I promise this was a true experience where I am even leaving out some of the disgust that happened and hope at least some will heed my word of caution that this truly is the biggest dirtbag unethical dealer I have ever dealt with so please listen before you go through same kind of thing.
We were lied to by our salesman about a contest at Fuccillo where they supposedly were giving away a free car, paying off loans and giving away cash .
IT WAS FAKE..Just a ruse to sell cars for the month.
After we found out we had been duped we talked to the General Manager (Xavier Villarreal)
He did not deny it and did not offer any apologies.
Just made it clear he did not care what the salesman told us. Made us feel stupid to have believed the salesman and finance manager. (The 2 that lied to us about contest)
I did not buy from Jimmy Butccillo’s evil stable of automobilios. Momma says if you ain’t got nuttn good to say don’t be say’n nuttn so I gots nuttn to say about Jimmy Butccillo
Biggest phoney of all time.Over prices his cars to pay for people who he gives credit to that don’T PAY. HE SELLS THEM CRAPPY HIGH MILAGE USED CARS.He repo’s them and sells the same car to another dead beat He keeps their deposit’s.
From the outset, I will let you know I may be biased. I have owned three MINI’s in a row and have bought two of them at a local dealership well known for outstanding service. I wasn’t in love with the idea of trading down to a KIA, but I was in a desperate situation and needed to make a decision fast and get a cheaper car. I left Fuccillo feeling victimized and foolish instead of the joy that normally accompanies a new car purchase.
The salesman greeted me and my friend right away and was happy to show us some Souls as we requested. We drove one over to a secondary lot and collected one that met the specs I was looking for. The problems began when we sat down to talk about what a purchase would look like.
Fuccillo advertises low prices like crazy, and the current ads at the time featured Souls selling well below MSRP. But the salesman kept hitting the MSRP like it was just a statement of fact. There were no savings. And then he had the nerve to imply that my 2-year old, excellent-condition MINI Clubman was just a hunk of junk because it had 40,000 miles on it. His first offer for a trade was $10,000, even though their very own website estimated the trade at $16,000 for one in only “good” condition.
He left the table and came back no less than 7 times, each time with an offer for financing that was way more than I would have paid for a new MINI. We tried to get up and leave several times, but by now he had my keys and kept saying he’d try to come back with something better. I felt a lot of internal pressure to make a purchase of SOMETHING on this particular day for personal reasons, and I knew he could sense it. And he was taking full advantage.
In the end, I got a payment way higher than on a new MINI–even though my credit is excellent–and got bupkis for my trade, paying full retail for the Soul. I will be paying for more than six years on a car that is not really very nice, and the amount financed is as high as if I’d just gone and gotten a Countryman. Why I let this guy do this to me, I’ll never understand. Oh, but they made it all better by giving me a free pie.
The experience took HOURS, which sucked because I am pregnant and was very uncomfortable the whole time. It was incredibly loud and crazy in the big sales room. If I had it to do all over, I would have gotten up the very first time he came back with a ridiculous amount and just left for the dealership down the road. I had already realized their ads were BS. Now all I can do is hope to God I don’t ever wreck this car, because I owe thousands more than the car is worth.
I first contacted Fuccillo by email asking for a quote. They emailed me a price and told me to come and see a salesmen. I got there and they sent me to Joe Shell who was just filling in from one of their other dealerships. He was very young and had a very thick country accent. We test drove one of the cars I was looking at and he didn’t seem to know anything about the car. Complete moron. It’s obvious he had no training (except on how to be a typical sleezy car salesmen). He complained how he doesn’t make enough and how broke he is and how he needs this sale. Not my problem Billy doesn’t take care of his employees. He started putting pressure on us to buy along with his goofy sales Manager Benny. They tried using every scam they could to get us to buy thinking we would fall for their dishonesty. They made excuses why the price was higher than the original quote and other dealers. They played games with the trade-in prices. Going from $1500 to $5000 within 10 minutes! They pretended to call big shot Billy to get us a better deal. They really put on a show for us! While we were waiting to speak to the finance dept, Joe left and went home to pop some anxiety meds (real professional!). We waited for over 2 hours before we got to speak to the creepy eyed finance guy Todd (another hillbilly). His lies were worse then the other 2 clowns. He would not tell us what banks approved us and what the rate was and it turns out he fudged the report he submitted to the bank. He asked us for a locate deposit that was just to hold and not to be deposited. We signed a written statement saying it would not be cashed. Well, they couldn’t locate a car and they cashed the check when we walked out the door and refuse to return in. i spoke with the office manager, Lucinda, who is a clueless airhead and she did nothing but lie, too. Still waiting on the refund. Billy must be so proud his staff is as crooked and shady as he is.He trained them well!
