“Do NOT Buy a Car Here”
Recently, I had my car lemon lawed due to problems. I have purchased 8 other cars for my business, and was a loyal customer there. Thinking that they would fix the problem, or get a new vehicle, they made me fight until the end. THE PROBLEMS BEGAN WITHIN THE FIRST 500 MILES. I also had to take the vehicle back about 22 times to get them to try to enter the vehicle. The problem that was occurring was that lethal fumes were entering the vehicle (no fumes are supposed to enter the cab at all…). They kept telling me that’s normal for this to happen, which is not the truth. I would like to thank the CT state lemon law for helping me with this bad experience, I would never buy from this dealer again, or recommend this dealer to anyone, from now on. They told me, “Go seek your business somewhere else.”. So, now I would recommend Crowley instead of this dealership with poor customer service. Unlike Papas Dodge, Crowley actually got me a brand new truck, and on time! The truck I had was a 2013 Dodge Ram 2500, Crowley was glad to take in my new lemon law, in a kind manner, and gave me a 2014 Ram 2500 in a timely manner. So do yourself a favor, and never buy from this dealership!
I found my vehciale at Papa Frank;s Auto Plaza after spending Friday and Saturday looking for a great rate and fair price. It was frustrating because other dealers wanted to put me in a vehicle I didn’t even like because I didn’t have perfect credit and enough down! Thanks PapaFrank’s for my new Saturn Vue (Ilove it) and great customer service! I would diffently recommed my family and friends!
worst place to buy. had to take the car back several times for the check engine light, it was never fixed. Horrible mechanics. They never talk to each other and dont remember what they have told you. Its always something different. They promise things and they never get done. Dave and Matt are worthless! The cars are in bad shape. We traded one problem car of theirs for another with continued problems. Will never buy there again or tell anyone else to go there.
We had the same problem. Took our vehicle back twice to get fixed and today we have the same problem after 2 towing fees and mechanic costs over 1,000.00 They had our vehicle over a week both times. They gave us different stories almost daily of what the problem was and what they actually did. LIARS…………..
This car dealership is a rip-off. I financed a car here and they gave me a 30 day guarantee, but they never live up to their promises. The first day i got the car the temp gauge blinked red. I took it back so they could check it and they said it was just the sensor. Days later it overheats and coolant leaks. Every time we took it back they told us to leave it until tomorrow and when we come back to pick it up they said they checked it and took care of it. Wrong, they didn’t do a damn thing and this continued for the longest time until we got really upset. Now they actually took a look at the car and made us pay for the parts. I don’t trust this dealership. They charge way too much and don’t do enough for customers.
What a change a pace from the BIG dealer atmosphere. I pulled into the lot, walked around the vehicles, and saw an SUV I really wanted to test drive. Walked into the front door, and was greeted by Linda. I told her I was interested in that SUV. She answered all my questions, and we took a test drive.
I told her I wanted my husband, who is a mechanic to come take a look at it, to make sure it was mechanically sound, she said, no problem. After my husband gave it the o.k., we sat down, agreed on a great price, and boom, we were done! I love my SUV, and would recommend Papa Frank’s to all my friends and family!:)
Went in for an Oil Change and Front End Alignment. They were able to get my vehicle in right away. By the time I settled in with my coffee and started reading my favorite magazine, the vehicle was done. I was so please with the excellent service, and the price for all the work done. I definetely would recommend Papa Franks Service Dept. I think of the great service everytime I get into my car, and it doesn’t pull to the right anymore going down the road! 🙂
We purchased a vehicle and were told at the time of purchase that it was a great SUV with no mechanical problems. After driving it 20 miles the check engine light came on, we brought it back to the dealership as they told us it needed to have it’s entire transmission rebuilt and it would not be covered by the 3 month warranty. They are Liars and Cheats.
They promised to fix the engine light before our 3 month warranty was up. They couldn’t remember any such thing. When their memory came back, they told us it was the o2 sensors and we would have to pay to have them fixed. Then magically it wasn’t the o2 sensors but the catalytic converter. When my nephew called to talk to the head mechanic, he could not answer basic questions on car maintenance, service or repair. (My nephew is certified, which apparently the mechanics there, are not.) I figure I am going to have to investigate the lemon law in colorado and then contact a lawyer. Thanks Dave, yes you got a good rate but it doesn’t do me much good if I have a repair bill that is going to cost me thousands.
We bought a 4×4 Chevy truck from the dealership We put $3700 down on it. Im in construction and got stiffed on a job and couldnt make the first payment. We called them thinking we were doomed, and they told us to come back in. We thought they were going to take the truck back and leave us without a ride home. That was so not the case. When we arrived, they sat us down and we went through several options. We owned a camper that they really didnt need, but took it as some more payment towards the truck. They didnt have to, but thats how considerate they are. They know how the economy is as well as everyone else, especially in the construction industry. We got everything back to normal now, reliable vehicle thats now paid for, money back in our pocket and smiles on our faces and most important we can sleep at night. This is not like any of the big dealership used car lots. These people actually have feelings and I would recomend them to all of my friends that need a reliable car or truck, or camper!:)
I have bought over 20 cars in my life time, from many different dealerships. There has never once been an experience worse than the one I have had with Papa Franks Auto Plaza! I bough what i thought was a good car, and a good deal from “good people”. Oh boy was I ever wrong.. I’ve now had the car for less than a week and I’ve had to spend in the upwards of 2000.00 just to make it run correctly. Papa Franks was of course willing to “give me a deal” on repairs on a car they just sold me, but the deal was no deal at all. The mechanic worked on the car, and two hours later I had to take it to the manufacturer where I was told that roughly 600.00 dollars worth of repairs is required to fix what Papa Franks mechanic did. So, now my car sits at a real dealership for the next 5 days while i’m without a car.
In short, there has never been a business deal that I’ve been part of that I have EVER had less faith in , than this one! I feel completely buried beneath the avalanche of their inadequacies, and my checkbook will suffer for my enormous mistake in trusting this “family owned and operated” back door junk yard.
