Stay away, they’re well versed in the art of BULLSHITTING
Bad Bad Bad, lied to my about price, wasted my time???
They are dishonest people. After I questioned their up-charge that was not in our initial estimate, the manager came to me and said in a stern tone, prices change, take it or leave it, we don’t have time for time wasters! I was shocked and out of the door ! Never recommending them to anyone.
avoid these creeps, it’s ur usual band of sleeze-fukin-balls.
All the salesmen are so far up the GM Michaels a$$ you can see them in his throat!
Their sales rep told me outside that if they dont do what Mr Castagnino tells them, they not only get fired, that bastard makes sure they never get a job. He goes so far as to threaten them for stealing if they go against his orders. I mean WTF! Avoid the drama, buy from somewhere else.
I had a similar experience. I believe you and I both bumped into the same individual with no self respect clearly. They don’t deserve anyone’s business.
Evil flows in their blood. I think these A$$ HOLE$$ fit the perfect description of a bunch of mafia sewer rats. They take pride in cheating ppl from their hard earned money.
They sold me lemon, charged me for a repair they didn’t do, laughed at my warranty and said it was worthless while convincing me to buy it, and to this day cold call me and forget who I am and i have to cuss out at them to take me off their list and they laugh slam the phone! What customer service! Jasper’s the main a-hole there, the rest came from his butt hole.
Here are the crooks that work at this dealership who all a bunch of greedy blood sucking snakes:
Sales Manager: Jasper Marino (rude, unrefined person)
General Manager: Michael Castagnino (greedy sales guy)
Corvette Specialist: Daniel Garcia (no say in things, just the extra commission)
Their whole job is make money off of you, they don’t care about you, typical sleazy salesmen!
agreed,
scumbags…..all they do is lie and deceive people.
I have been bring my 2 cars to castle chevrolet for years, I have also been treated very good. Service hours are great, open till midnight and saturdays. I want to thank Joy in service for always having a smile on her face and treating me as a VIP.
Took my car in for routine oil change, took 2 hours even though I had an appointment. I also had my 4 month old baby with me and I kept checking on the time since I had to feed, change etc. They could have cared less. They were not apolegetic and did not offer to help in any way.
REALLY poor service….typical car salesmans/dealership.
The cup holder was broke in the car we wanted to purchase and they never mentioned they would fix it.
They kept the keys to my car (the trade in) and held on to them until we had to demand them back. And when we asked for them back, the salesman asked why we were upset.
The salesman lied to us.
They negotiate with all their customers in a cold lobby, sitting so close to the other customers. No privacy, what-so-ever. Meanwhile the salesman talked to his sales managers in a nice cozy private office.
When we decided to not make the purchase, a different man brought our keys, didn’t look us in the eyes and walked away. Our salesman didn’t even shake our hands before we left.
The salesman smoked (he asked and we said ok) however he smoked inside the building, which by IL law, I didn’t think he could do.
Very strange tactics. A class on integrity, care and quality service would benefit them and their customers.
Funny, since writing my authentic review
there seems to be a flurry of positive reviews about this dealership,
and when you Google “Castle Chevrolet review” you seem to see the same
“customers” posting these reviews at several different sites. Wow, I’ve
never met or heard of such impressive advocacy on the part of happy
customers. Hmmmmmm………
My husband and I were shopping for a new loaded Tahoe; found a couple of vehicles that seemed to be exactly what we wanted on the Castle Chevy website. Olivia and I corresponded via email and the next day my husband and I drove to Castle Chevrolet to look and drive the choices. Olivia was very responsive, knowledgeable, funny and professional. She brought the “Big Guns” in when it came time to talk price. Terry seemed to really care that we got into the right vehicle for us at the right price. This was my second Castle Chevrolet purchase and I can only assume it will not be my last. Service is excellent.
Thanks Guys for everything!!!

plz, enough with these fake positive reviews. Makes me sick when you try to hide the truth. Copy pasting it 3 times so people don’t see the true negative reviews!
I have purchased 7 cars in my life and hated every single time but this one. This company treated me and my wife like family from the minute we drove on the lot. Our credit wasn’t perfect due to past problems and we were still treated like the best customers in the showroom. We will never buy a car from anywhere else…ever.
Marie Cruse and Terry… Me and my wife thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We definitely recommend everyone to buy from Castle Chevrolet and to ask for Rosa Martinez. Besides being very honest, she was very friendly and took her time to answer all the questions and explain everything clearly. She took her time to listen to what we needed and worked with us on the price. The most important attribute about her was that she did not make us feel pressured into buying a car and was always friendly. Before meeting her, we had the notion that car sales associates will do anything to sell you a car, even lying and pressuring you to buy one. She was completely the opposite, but at the same time very convincing (we got the new car from her and left very happy). We think every car dealer should have someone like her, she is a great asset to the company.
Everyone we met at this dealership was friendly, helpful and respectful.

I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone seeking to purchase or who is simply inquiring about purchasing a vehicle. My overall experience was very good as a result of the perseverance and tenacity of Terry E. I advised Terry E as to the type of vehicle I was interested in and he became personally involved in his quest to assist and address my specific needs. Consequently, I was able to obtain the vehicle I strongly desired and have been very satisfied since my purchase. As previously stated, I would strongly recommend this dealership to anyone who is in search of a new or used vehicle as they have a large selection of makes and models to chose from to accommodate your specific request and ask for Terry E as I am sure he will provide you with the highest quality of professionalism and service as he provided me. THANK YOU TERRY AND CASTLE CHEVY.

Avoid Castle Chevrolet at all costs!
I inquired from another state about a used vehicle in their inventory and was assured on multiple occasions by their “Internet Manager” that the vehicle had not been wrecked or repainted for any other reasons. I then spent over $500 in airfare to arrive at their location with the intent of purchasing the vehicle and driving it home to Kansas. Upon arrival I was immediately urged to sign paperwork and pay for the vehicle before even inspecting it in person. I refused, of course, and once I was allowed to inspect the car the salesman avoided having me walk around the vehicle in sunlight, only allowing me at first to view it in the service bay. After insisting upon seeing it outside I observed very obvious over-spray on several areas of the car, and the front door and hood would not even latch properly. It was now obvious to me that they were simply risking my time and money to see if I would go ahead and take a previously wrecked car rather than returning home and starting my search over — the salesman understood that I was preparing for a cross-country move and only had that weekend to purchase a vehicle.
I have been in the retail car industry myself for almost 20 years, I know what questions to ask and I was very explicit in phone and email conversations regarding the condition of the vehicle. Nothing was left open for interpretation. I was lied to, plain and simple.
When I complained about being misled the “manager” responded with, “If you are just trying to get a better deal, forget it, that’s as low as I’m going to go.” He also explained the shoddy paintwork and over-spray by saying, “My salesman told me you were particular, so we were only doing what you asked of us by trying to make it look as good as possible” (in other words, it’s MY fault). To make matters worse, they left me on my own for a ride back to the airport, where I spent additional money having to fly home.
Even though I have spent my working life in this business, I thought these kinds of experiences with car dealers only occurred in movies, or maybe in the 1970’s. They were aware that I was a “car guy” myself and still pulled this on me. I can’t imagine what they attempt with less experienced buyers. Unbelievable.

Dont shop at Grand Mitsubishi either, they are worst car selling scum in Illinois. And the Owner Jim Allegretti is the ring leader. I wrote the review for my mother in law scammed. buyer beware !!!
Oh and I informed the owner about his horribly LOW internet dealer rating, he had a salesman named Bill T write a review at dealer rater .com… u need to go to dealer rater and also write a review, about Castle Chevrolet. Please the more bad reviews the better.:) BTW.. its against the dealer rater terms of service to make reviews being a car salesman and using dealer internet connection. I also reported it as fraud to dealer rater.
UPDATE TO: My mother in law was scammed at Grand Mitsubishi. Today
Grand Mitsubishi bought back the new car they scammed my mother in law
into. That’s how bad those two deals were. When I took my mother in law
in to pick up the car she traded in the owner J. Allegretti was there
and my mother in law walked over to him I stayed back by the front
counter just listening. His 1st comment to this tiny frail 80 yr was
“ARE YOU THE ONE WITH THE GOOD CREDIT? She replied embarrassed at the
question,”No I’m the other one” And his next words said in a very nasty
tone of voice “you are ruining your friends credit” and “how bad her
credit is! trying to make her an 80 yr old lady feel bad! So I stepped
in and told that owner “the friend was supposed to be co signer”, and
that my mother in laws credit wasn’t that bad and J.Allegretti
screamed…”ITS HORRIBLE she cant buy a car”! He yelled at me that I
wasn’t there, very cocky little man, so I yelled back, and neither were
you and you will be buying this car back! And J.Allegetti yelled “Have
you had enough to drink today” I said “I don’t drink and then I
proceeded to make a comment to all the customers in the store “to watch
what they are signing”! And the troops came pouring out their offices
like worker bees hovering to save the queen bee, they yelled at me to
get out of their store and to call the cops! to which I replied” please
call the cops if you wont I will. Today the lawyer was brought in and
it happened, Grand Mitsubishi repurchased that new car…..its over.
they were wrong. ..trust me, no one should ever buy a car there. Oh and
they all hid in their office while lawyer was in today. BIG GUYS HUH ?
The owner of this place is the most obnoxious little man. Very evil man
to have to deal with. To try and act like my mother in law did
something wrong… she did! She trusted them. She has been a nervous
wreck over this whole experience and shes old enough to be all of those
salesmen’s and the owners grandmother. Shame on all the men at Grand
Mitsubishi and their treatment not only to women but to elderly senior
women. I will have to say one man there Dave was very helpful and acted
like a man and not a shark, Dave if u read this find a better place to
work, those men will keep you in messes like this. They did pass the
whole mess on your desk.
And for the record : they charged these
women 24k for 2009 lancers, what a rip off! I’m so glad my mom in law
is out of that car loan.
Thanks — dealerrater took down my post because I work in the car business (in another state!). Oh well, it was up for about a month. Too bad not that many shoppers check these sites first.
I too worked for dealer but over 10 yrs ago and a mitsu dealer..grand mitsu messed with wrong mother in law ;)..lol:):D
I also went to Castle Chevrolet from another state. I am not a person who has extensive experience with car buying or repairs. I did ask for and receive the carfax report which did not show any accidents. The vehicle was also missing the navigation disk which i was told that i would receive a new disk in the mail and i actually watched the salesman order a new one from the service department. When i received the disk, it was a used disk with scratches. Upon loading the disk, the GPS would not receive a signal and my XM radio would not activate. I believe that the salesman knew the Navigation was faulty a hid the nav disk from me to keep me from finding out that it was faulty.
I have since taken the vehicle to my local cadillac dealer for repair and they informed me that the vehicle had been in a front end collision. The spacing on the hood is off center, the headlight brackets were broken and plastic welded back together and one of the front two hooks is bent. The service person at my local cadillac dealer informed me that if the dealership did any kind of inspection, they knew that the vehicle was in an accident. I am pretty disturbed by this and really has caused a distrust towards used car dealers.
