If they still had the cart I wanted, I’d buy there. Josh was awesome, and so was the entire staff!
Do you mind if I quote a few of your articles as long as I provide credit and sources back to your webpage?
My website is in the exact same niche as yours and my visitors would genuinely benefit from a lot of the information you provide here.
Please let me know if this alright with you. Thank you!
Utterly awful service! Today I looked at a relatively new used car that I was quite interested in. Immediately upon first glance I noticed that the front end/plastic grille of the car was broken in pieces, as if it was hit at some point. I told the salesman my offer and he went to go check with his manager. As he was away, I inspected the car further, noticing a big dent on the rear side of the car and a tear in the car’s upholstery. A few minutes later, the salesman comes back with the manager, Tom Duwaldt. Tom was quite possibly the most rude and condescending person I have ever encountered at a dealership. He profiled us instantly at first glance, telling us things like “You can’t afford this car” and “This car is not for you”, before steering me in the direction of their POS selection. I told him of the damage on the car, and he didn’t seem to care, brushing it off as if it was nothing. It was this completely uncalled for prejudice against us, not all the other issues, that changed my mind on buying the car. I had the money with me, in hand, ready to purchase. Tom needs some training in hospitality if he is to continue in this business. I wouldn’t recommend this dealer to my worst enemy!
I didn’t know they were still in business. Haven’t seen an ad since we (foolishly) bought a car from them. I said they need to change their motto to “When we’re finished with your deal, we’re FINISHED WITH YOU!!!”
You were smarter than we were…we didn’t look everything over with a fine tooth comb. Missed a few minor things but they told us they were not in the business of making things new. Too bad they didn’t take care of a minor thing like fixing the tear in upholstery…Customer Satisfaction is NOT in their vocabulary.
This is the type of dealership that gives car salesmen a bad reputation. This truly is the worst experience that my husband and I have ever had…would NEVER recommend Finish Line Ford to anyone.
BUYER, BEWARE…consider yourself warned!!!
This is the absolute worst dealership I have ever dealt with. A couple of months after the purchase of my car, I had to get new tires. When I purchased the new tires, I found out that someone had replaced all of the lugnuts/bolts with ones that were not right for the vehicle, so I ended up paying an extra $100 to have them replaced. I contacted the dealership, but they never returned my calls or tried to make the situation right. After having my car for a couple of years, and having constant problems with it, I decided it was time to trade it somewhere else. When trading the vehicle, I was advised that the owner before me was involved in a very serious accident, nearly totaling the vehicle, and that was probably why I had so many issues with it. I remember specifically asking the salesman at finishline if it had been wrecked, he told me no. Of course, I lost a lot of money on the trade in. Now, I am trying to get a refund for the gap insurance that I purchased on the vehicle, and have been trying to contact the finance department at finishline for over a month. No one will answer, or respond to my calls. I had another friend who purchased a vehcile from finishline, and their vehicle has also been wrecked in the past. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone, unless of course you enjoy being taken advantage of, and want a car that is a piece of junk!
Well as you can see it has taken me over a year to write the review.
I purchased the vehicle and went home I also purchased the gap insurance. In December i paid off the truck so I contacted the gap insurance and did the paper work, they mailed the refund back to finish line ford in Jan, it is now FEBRUARY AND I AM STILL WAITING ON MY REFUND. PS they don’t return phone call either.
I bought a 2009 Honda Civic EX-L from these liars in September of 2010. The finance guy pressured the crap out of us to purchase the extended warranty on the car, so we eventually got tired of him calling us stupid if we didn’t purchase it, so we did. I drove the car back to the St. Louis area (3hours away from them) and realized there were serious issues with the tires that were on it. So I had them inspected and sure enough, they were all 4 bad tires, they had flat spots. I called them back to make arrangements to get them replaced because the car was brand new with 23 miles on it when I purchased it from them and they told me it wasn’t their problem. When I informed them that we bought the extended warranty, wouldn’t you believe it??? That wasn’t covered with the $900.00 warranty. These people are ignorant and they absolutely do not care about you the second the deal is closed, this was absolutely the worst car buying experience I have ever had! I will never recommend this dealership to anyone, not even my worst enemy… SHAME ON YOU PEOPLE AND YOUR CUSTOMER RELATIONS!!!!!

Happy with our purchase for the most part however, we think that they need to update their ads to “Finish Line Ford…finished with the deal and we’re FINISHED WITH YOU!!!” They are not interested in customer service or customer satisfaction after the deal in complete. A couple days after we purchased our vehicle we found a rather large tear in the upholstry. I called “Buddy” to see where I could go to get this repaired…his first response was “We’re not in the business of making old cars new” and made sure to say they wouldn’t be paying for this. I wasn’t asking them to repair it I was asking for advice as to where I could get it repaired (but, after his response, it put me on the defensive…maybe they DID need to pay for it – this should have been fixed prior to the sale of the car). After speaking with the manager, Skip, who also said the same things, he finally gave me the name of their repair person and told me that I would have to call him and make my own arrangements as I would be paying for the reair on my own. Again, I told him that I was not being unreasonable and that it was obvious that FINISH LINE FORD WAS NOT IN THE CUSTOMER SERVICE OR CUSTOMER SATISFACTION BUSINESS. Sad, my husband buys three new trucks every year or so. We won’t go back to Finish Line…we’re FINISHED WITH THEM.
Do unto others as you would have done unto you…the Golden Rule.
Initially we thought all was great. Until……. we were lied to about returning the extended warranty would be no problem. I’ll tell you now… I have never had a problem with anything in my life like this. They are “refusing” to return the money to the bank. My wife cancelled this going on two months now. As a matter of fact, she had to get it done through the warranty company because Finish Line Ford refused to cooperate. Ditching calls and messages makes it blatantly obvious you have no intention on helping the customer, after the sale. It is to the point to where she is now automatically sent to people’s voicemail. Message after message, call after call… they keep ducking their heads away from any type of contact. They have never returned a call or email to give a status of this long over due refund. You took the money with no problem. Why should it take almost two months to return it? On a side-note, the model of vehicle we purchased had a feature either I nor the salesperson ever seen before. He went to get the “expert” on this model. Turns out their “expert” has absolutely no clue within his own “expertise”. The locks for instance, do not work as intended (as we were told). Also, supposedly they do maintenance on the vehicles prior to selling them. Well guess what? The vehicle we have keeps logs in the car computer for when maintenance is done. Simply put, they said the oil was changed. The vehicle said it was due for an oil change 1 week after we bought it. Never, never again will I do business with this company again.
I priced a new truck they had advertised on the internet. He told me he would give me bluebook trade in value until I got over there and started paperwork and then all of a sudden decided he could only give me $2500 under bluebook tradin and my trade in vehicle is in above average condition.I guess I should ‘ve knew better, I bought a new truck from them several years ago and wanted factory steps bars on it. When I went to pick it up they had cheap aftermarket ones on it. After raising heck they said they would put the factory ones on it. Took it back over and they didn’t have the right parts and told me I’d have to bring it back. I took it back over and they still never had the right parts. I finally just forgot about it and just kept the cheapies. What makes me mad about this last episode is I went over there with the title of my truck in hand and was going to pay a substancial amount of cash along with the trade in.It’s been a month now and even though they didn’t want to give me a fair price for mine they have come down more on the internet price on theres. Needless to say they still have all the same trucks they had a month ago,so I guess they’re not to interested in selling any new trucks anyway.
All of us at Finish Line Ford would like to thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at our store and we would like to apologize that you were not satisfied with the service we provided. Please contact me, Tom Duwaldt, New Car Sales Manager at 309-693-2525, so we can discuss your experience and hopefully resolve any issues you had on pricing.
Scott was very helpful, very patient and courteous. Answered all my questions and went above and beyond my expectations.
Had a fantastic experience. The salesman didn’t put any pressure on me to buy a car right now. He was knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions right away. Couldn’t have had a better experience here!
Had a great overall experience, but the stereo system in the indoor showroom could use an upgrade. And some good looking servers to deliver snacks and beverages to the guests.
After spending 2 weeks looking for cars at other dealerships we stopped at Finish Line Ford and drove away with a great car the same day. We received a fair price for our trade and the service was excellent. Thanks to everyone at Finish Line keep up the great work.:)
I recently was in at FinishLine Ford looking at a truck that I had seen on their website. I was not aware that they were wholesale until Lindsey greeted me upon entering the showroom and explained their dealership. I was a little surprised but the F150 was the lowest price in town with the features and mileage that I was looking for. After I had filled out the application Lindsey informed me that Finishline was able to get me a better interest rate than I had gotten with my preapproval from my own bank. I was thrilled! I left this dealership in the truck that I loved and spent less than I had expected!
I was in at FinishLine Ford on a April 7th and was browsing cars, I wasnt sure if I was ready to buy after all of the hassles I went through that day at the previous dealerships. I was tired of pushy sales people trying to sell me stuff that I did NOT need. I talked with Lindsey who informed me that they were hassle and haggle free, which was a relief after dealing with the negotiating I went through down the street. I had lots of questions about the Cadillac line. Lindsey made sure that she answered every question I had. I told her I wanted to walk around and look at the cars by myself and she told me just to come find her when I had questions. I was blown away that I could actually have time to think. Needless to say I bought the Cadillac Cts. I couldnt be happier with my car purchase and no longer dread the car shopping experience. It was great to finally have a quick car purchasing experience! Thank you Lindsey. 🙂
we had a great experience. our son bought a mustang and got a great price and rate on his loan. the salesman went out of his way and we even got the warranty at a great price.:D
I have purchased a vehicle from Finish Line 2 years ago. I then sent my brother-in-law to Finish Line on 4/8/2011. We live 4 hours south of Peoria so he called the day before to tell them he was coming and what vehicle he wanted to see (2006 Volvo XC90). The car was traded in a month ago to Finish Line. When he arrived the car had not been washed and the interior had crumbs in the seat, dirt in the floor boards, speaker hanging from the door and the lights were pushed into the dash. The real kicker is the fact that the check engine light was on and it was not mentioned at all over the phone. He had to go next door to the volvo dealership and ask them about the check engine light and what it would take to get it fixed. No one from Finish Line cared to do anything about it. I will never go back to Finish Line and I will never recommend anyone to purchase anything from them. Maybe they should make the salesman work on commission so they actually care to sell something and be honest over the phone.
What kind of place honestly lets someone drive 2.5 hours each way to look at a car that has a broken Nav screen and 4 tires with maybe 1000 miles left on them? Its absolutely rediculous that they hid these things from the pictures online and did not tell me about them either when they knew I was coming from some distance. What were they thinking? Someone would be stupid enough to buy the car anyway?
Yes, I’m pissed! What a joke for a Car Dealer.
On behalf of everyone at Finish Line Ford I truly apologize for your experience at our store. Our number one goal is customer service and satisfaction and I’m saddened you do not feel you received our best. I would like to discuss this further. Please contact me at your convenience.

The website for this dealership is OUTSTANDING. It enabled us to look through their plentiful used car selection at our convenience from the comfort of our own home. As a result we were able to become informed consumers as to what is in the market and what are the going rates. That helped us better search local dealerships to find the vehicle that met our needs and budget. All that information led us back to Finish Line Ford. They had the best selection; it was really one-stop shopping. We felt if we couldn’t find a vehicle there that met our specifications, it didn’t exist. The information from the website really helped expedite the process, as we were able to identify the half dozen vehicles we narrowed it down to and quickly find the right fit for our family while in the comforts of their indoor showroom. My only complaint was that the business needs to invest in more financial experts as it took us too long to finish the deal once a decision was made. All in all, when we need another used vehicle, we start and finish with Finish Line Ford.https://cardealercheck.com/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif
I traded in my superduty and downsized to a focus. I met Bill Miller, my salesman and explained to him what i was looking to do. He took his time showing me the different options and the benefits of the Ford Focus. We test drove and went over all of the options. He was patient and polite the whole time. The deal was simple and easy including what i got for my trade which actually was more than i expected. Bill has taken the time to call me and make sure i was happy with my purchse. Go to Finish Line Ford and get a GREAT DEAL from a great guy.
Thank you Bill Miller and the Finish Line Ford Staff for making this an easy transaction.

I had been looking for an affordable F150 crew cab for about 3 weeks before I found one online at Finish Line Ford. The truck has every option that I wanted and a few more for less than I was willing to pay. After making a quick call to see if the truck was available I was directed to a new salesperson named Andrew. He explained to me that he had just started in the business and wanted to double check to make sure the truck was physically on their lot. After about 10 minutes I got a return call saying he did still have the truck and if I could make an appointment to come test drive it. I set an appointment for the next day and asked if there was any way that he could hold the truck for me? It was great. I put a small deposit on my credit card and the truck was held for 24 hrs. I showed up the next morning, test drove, fell in love with it and bought it on the spot. the whole process only took a matter of about an hour and I was on my way home with MY new truck. To all the great people that I met and dealt with at Finish Line. Thank You!!!
These guys can help you!

I found a Lexus SC430 at Finish Line Ford through Autotrader. I talked with Scott Dykstra, the internet manager. I expressed the desire that I was looking for an especially well-cared for car and asked about the condition of this one. He stated that there were no obvious blemishes, although he did not go over it with a magnifying glass. I asked him to do what they call a “walkaround”, which is walking around the car with you on the phone, going over the car in detail. He came up with a couple of rock chips on the front end, and that was it. I then put the process on hold because I read several negative reviews about Finish Line. After seeing the car remain for sale for several weeks, I decided to pursue having an independent inspection, which found the rock chips and a dent. So I thought I had done my homework. I drove 7 1/2 hours on a Saturday. Within five minutes, this is what I found: the complete exterior painted surface was swirled. A crease (not a dent), additional rock chip, a rip in the interior, and a noticeable spot in the front passenger carpet. But it also had been in a front end collision, as there was noticeable overspray (and I have an untrained eye), and the hood had been poorly repainted. In fairness, they brought in a detail person who said the swirl marks could be taken out, but I was disappointed that my salesperson, who should be good enough to spot things from a professional viewpoint, failed to see what my unprofessional eyes did in five minutes. My wife was with me, and she could see before we even got up to the car that it was swirled. So Scott caused me to waste a bunch of time, and the cost of the trip (not a whole lot). My advice…when you see negative feedback like I did, pay attention to it. I wish I had.
I bought my 2007 Honda Accord from Greg. He was an amazing person to work with. He was very low pressure and patient. He never left our side for more than 5 minutes, and always made sure we were happy, as he sold vehicles to 2ther people at the same time. I will be back to buy from him again when my daughter turns 16, and then when my son graduates from college. I was a cash customer, and they were amazing about the whole deal. They didnt pressure me to buy there warranty, which I found from them to be extremely cheap. They didnt pressure me to finance with them, most places do! All around it was an awesome experience!!!!!
We bought a Ford Edge from Finishline Ford and we love it. We shopped all
over the Peoria area and they had the best selection of any Dealership. After
we made contact with the Dealership we were contacted promptly by their
staff. We were treated very well by everyone employed at Finishline. I would recommend them to our family and friends.
David was our salesman, and he was very nice. However, the sales manager was completely rude, insulted us in every way and made this a very unpleasant experience. The sales manager told us he was divorced (like we cared) and I wanted to say, “Gee….I wonder why that is?”
We purchased a used 2009 Chrysler Town and Country mini van. The price was excellent, however, immediately after we got it home, we discovered that the rear brake pads needed replacing. The van has not even 24,000 miles on it yet. And Finish Line Ford claims they did a full inspection. My father and husband fixed this on our driveway the day after we purchased it, and found that one of the bolts in the driver’s side rear brake caliper mount was broken. Obviously if an inspection had been done, this would have been repaired before they sold us the van. The van also came with only one key, which makes me wonder if it was a repossession. The van is in great shape otherwise… but the insults we had to take from the sales manager and the lying about the inspection were not worth it.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP – THEY DO NOT INSPECT THEIR CARS LIKE THEY SAY THEY DO.
I am from Macomb, Il. I found a red 2007 Pontiac G6 online, called about it and they dropped the price from $10800 to $10000. I did the online finance everything was good, the pictures looked awesome on the website. Set up a time for me to go there and look at the car and sign all the papers if I wanted to purchase it. It is an hour and a half drive from Macomb mind you. Get to the dealership, the salesman is on the phone, Greg. I don’t care about that, but I went to the restroom and when I came out my mom and fiancé were at Greg’s desk. I walk up and he does not even introduce himself and I’m the one buying the car. So we take the vehicle for a test drive. The vehicle only had ONE key. Get in the car and the lever is broke on the driver’s seat to move the car front or back. Turn it on and the check engine light is on. Drive to a gas station and my fiancé checks under the hood. We go back to the dealership ask Greg why the check engine light was on. He doesn’t have a clue and imagine that all the service techs. leave at 5:00. Seriously if your dealership stays open until 7:00 wouldn’t it be smart to have at least one tech there. So we drive the vehicle to Auto Zone to put it on a scanner, it is an ignition misfire, which could be a $500 problem. Come back tell Greg the problem and I say I don’t even want the car. So he tells us about another G6, a year newer and less miles. He brings that car around for us. Get in NO gas, the light is on and the check tire pressure light is also on. Not that big of a deal. So we test drive it and go to the gas station and put gas in it. Drives good, get back and the asking price of this vehicle was $11250. We offer them $11000 out the door. Greg asks my fiancé what his reasoning is for it, he explains. It seemed like Greg was only interested in proving my fiancé wrong, not selling a vehicle. So Greg takes our offer to the sales manager. Greg came back with a sheet a paper showing us how dealerships price their vehicles. People could care less how dealerships price their vehicles, all we want to know is if it is a yes or a no. So what their counter offer was $11000 plus tax, title, registration. So I said I don’t even want to buy a vehicle from here. I said you guys knew I was driving from Macomb and I said someone had to get in the vehicle to park it up front and they should have seen the check engine light was on. I said come on its common sense, to either get it in the shop and see what the problem was or have enough sense to call the person who was driving an hour and half to purchase the vehicle. I will never shop for a vehicle there and I will tell my friends and family never to purchase there also. VERY angry at them, its just rude and inconsiderate.
