I had a job interview with Scott, the owner and I was impressed at first at his professionalism. Then he proceeds to tell me during the interview that he was not satisfied in his marriage to his wife and could not divorce her due to not wanting to “screw up his kids mentally”… What kind of person says this to a prospective employee?? He promised to call me when he had made his decision, but never followed through… I had called him four times, left messages, which he claims never to have received.. When I finally did reach him,he said he changed his mind regarding the position in which I had interviewed for and hires a Mechanic instead… Yet, the ad he has on Craigslist for the position is still up for a “Girl Friday”.. First he called me a liar and claims I never called, then he hangs up on me after I challenged him on his claim of the Mechanic. He is a liar and disrespectful to others, DO NOT DO BUSINESS with him under any circumstances!!
They were dishonest about the infromation they had me sign. One paper was concerning the dealership’s responsibility to pay for any repairs found (and then at the bottom they had me sign a WAIVER so that they WOULDN’T be responsible for any repairs. I paid $4500.00 for a car, and it is going to cost me over $5000.00 to make all of the necessary repairs!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! THEY ARE FRAUDS, AND SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!!!
I Bought a vehicle at this lot a few years ago. Do to the negative comments and the stranger personal conflicts, I felt compelled to write an honest review. No I do not work for my first car. I bought a 1997 grand prix GTP (around 2006) and paid 4500 I believe (advertised at 5000) and had 94000 miles on it. Everyone was pleasant with me and let me drive whatever I wanted. I drove the car for two years and had to do the brakes once for about a $1000 all the way around and the tires but got 4 cheap at about $200. Gas mileage was good. I traded the car in for a 1000.00 and therefore spent about 2600 a year. The average person spends about 5000 a year (and I used to). The car was in perfect running condition when I traded it in for the newer generation Grand Prix. I also got full leather interior, a supercharged vehicle, etc…By the way I don’t believe Scott did warranties back then and all of them have their issues anyways and have little to do with who sales them. All of the above was basically an education…like the individual who saw the engine light on…why did you buy it that way, I would have sold the car to you also. And many prices reflect what to expect…most cars under 3000 are an extreme gamble and the 5-7 range is a 50/50 at best…so you do what you can to check out the vehicle and make a decision and yes some of them will break down 20 more times and the next few weeks just like they were for the last owner who did not do the repairs. Others will be pretty normal if you use the car and care for it reasonably like I did. I am looking at several of Scott’s deals right now and considering going back based on what he has advertised and no I don’t plan I buying a vehicle that the engine light is on etc…Scott did alright with me and this is just an unbiased review to tell at least an honest story of my business at this dealership. (to clarify the financing – wasn’t offered back then so was low rating for not an option)
I just want to thank MY FIRST CAR for years of honest service. I have bought 3 cars from them and have not ever had a problem with anything i have bought. I understand that they are used cars and there may be minor things that need to be done but what used car dont. everyone that i have had the pleasure dealing with there have been up front and honest. so i must say thanks to scott, angie, andy, and i think its nick( the lot guy). will be back soon to buy my other daughter a car……
Well let me start off with, if your looking to be disrespected, lied to, and stolen from this is the dealership for you!!!!!!!! After driving by this dealer a few times we stopped in on a sat afternoon. After test driving a few vehicles we desided on a jeep that seemed acceptable. On our test drive an engine light came on, we questioned the light, but our “HONEST” sales person ANDY told us he put it on the computer and it was just coming up with a code showing a “little low” on transmission …but not to worry— even if there was a problem we had paid extra for a warranty and it would cover any powertrain issue. Well we did have a problem. Two days after we bought the jeep it was in the transmission shop requiring a completely new trans. We were upset, but comforted that we paid additional money for a warranty. This vehicle cost us $6K. Not only did we NOT have a warranty but when i called the dealer to get help they told us there was nothing they could do. Even though we paid additional money for a warrany we were told the warrany would not be honored because the warranty company only covers issues that happen after vehicle purchase. Buyer beware!! This is an unethical dealer who is unavailable when customers have issues and runs a very shady business.
I looked around this dealer TWICE and have to say that all I saw was overpriced rusted junk, both times.
My advice– CHECK THE CARFAX!!!!!! I REPEAT, CHECK THE CARFAX!!!!! Mileage is wrong and you’ll find all sorts of issues that they don’t want to tell you about. And honestly, there’s only one or two cars on the lot with clear carfax report.
I know that it’s a used car dealership, but c’mon… for the dumpy piles of you-know-what that they’re trying to sell, they need to knock at least $1000 off of each car.
Another piece of advice– There are a ton of dealerships all along that road (Delsea Dr). Check them first, and don’t buy from this place unless you have even more money saved up than you’re paying for the car to repair. (Honestly I found a lot of good ones further down Delsea and on the Black Horse Pike in the turnersville area)
This is clearly written from another “dealer” on Delsea Dr..Sorry are we taking your business. Everyone gets a CarFax and a warranty with every car. How would u know that 2 cars out of 100 have good CarFaxs. Did u look through all my books, at all my CarFaxs..Interesting…
Oh I have been waiting awhile to write a review for this trashy dealership . After reading some of the responses made by this alleged legal dealership I can’t hold back anymore . First of all I would like to say that any of the positive reviews you are reading are HIGHLY suspect and are likely written by the salesmen themselves .
I remember seeing a 94 nissan maxima on their lot that seemed to be in pretty good shape so I decided to stop in since I had been watching the car for over 2 weeks . Everything seemed to be in decent shape and the engine sounded good , the only thing left was to take it for a test drive . Test drive was positive in my opinion I also had a friend with me who agreed , the price seemed right the car seemed right so I left a 60 dollar down payment not feeling obliged to leave more to hold the car . This was a mistake , but I digress , not feeling satisfied that I had thoroughly researched the car, I returned later that evening after they closed to get the vin number . I got the vin number did a carfax and found that the car with 175 ,000 miles on the odometer actually had 295,000 miles , can we say roll back ! I demanded my money back especially after he told me the car had original miles , my demands were met with ” call the cops your not getting your money back ” . I was infuriated , I returned that evening with a large friend of mine to get my money , but that punk scott wasn’t there . Not being from the area and my stay in jersey coming to an end I cut my losses and left with a good lesson learned .
If you are reading this DO NOT buy from this dealership thievery at it’s best . Scott if you are reading this I still have the card you gave me , it was 2003 , your comments on here cement the fact that you are as scummy as you were back then and I’m sure even more cowardly (like when you hid when I came back that night like the pear shaped loser you are ) , hope this helps all potential customers to stay far far from these crooks .
anyway…how long did u wait to respond…a week, a month, maybe a year…Loser..A 94 Nissan Maxima..did u just break open your pigy bank.. I got news for u buddy.. Everyone gets a car fact and it’s a used car..people like U think they should be new for the $1,000 u spend. I won’t even take a 60 deposit and I can promise u I’m not hiding from anyone..I’ve sold about 5,000 cars in 15 and 10 people had a bad experience..Your what’s wrong with the world..not me buddy. Did u really wait 9 years to write a review.. NOW WHO’S THE LOSER…BUDDY…come get your 60 bucks, with interest your up to 66.75…Dinner money for u and ur Large freind..
Has to be one of the all time scum bag. Bought a 1990 jeep om 1/20/11 and its now 2/18/11 and its still in the shop. So far put 1200.00 dollars in repair and the jeep still smells like it has a fuel leak. I live in washington twp area AND I HOPE THAT ANYBODY READING THIS STAYS AWAY FROM THIS DEALER. Also I took jeep back and said I wanted my money back and that I was leaving it here and he said I better not that the jeep might disappear. Come on people what more can I say !!!!
Let me see…u bought a 21 year old Jeep Wrangler for $3000 dollars and thought it was going to be NEW. Obviously, when u buy something used your going to find all the problems in the 1st few weeks.. I do remember u coming back in and having NO clue what u were talking about… If the mechanic riped u off it can’t be my fault.. I never hear back from the smartones because they understand what it is. A used vehicle…Next time buy something in this decade and spend more than $3000 on it and u might only spend $500 on repairs.
I find it real funny that after a year you still want to make it look like your are the bad guy!!! In all reality it is you that screws the customers. My dad told you a week in advance that he was going to NC. You just acted like he never said anything. Instead of being a real man and telling him that you didn’t need him to work for you any longer, you take a lock and put it on the door? What kind of a business man does that? By the way how is that $400 transmission that you still haven’t paid for? How does it feel to screw a man out of his 500.00 pay? Yes this dealership screwed his employee out of exactly $906.00 and has never had the balls to confront my dad over the money. Is this the kind of dealership you want to buy a car from? His warranties are B/S also. The company is not even in business. Trust me I’ve called. The things he does to make a car run is very UNprofessional.:D:D:D:D:D
WOW…u guys are right out of the movie “wrong turn”. I never hired your dad. I hired your uncle and your dad shows up, but I give him a chance. Then Ya’ll should up. U even smashed one of my cars.. U dissappear back to West Virginia and then show up a week later. Then start hammering me on the internet. I’d sue your ass but the only thing I’d get is the address of the computer u had to borrow to write this..What would u know about buying a car anyway…u guys didn’t own one…
The couple was very nice. I bought a decent car for 3500. I recieved the auto check and a warranty on the car. I went to 8 dealerships and felt they had the nicest selection for the money and they actually treated me with respect. 5 smiles for MY FIRST CAR…:):o:):o:)
thank you for a nice review. It’s refreshing to see people take the time to right something nice..
I have been looking around to buy a used car for about 3 months now. This was the first dealership that took the time to help me find a car with the price range and mile range i was looking for. They have a huge selection of great used cars! All of the sales people were friendly and took the time to answer every question i had. Also, they have every car fax for each car and truck. {unlike most dealerships they do not have any hiding fees}
Again..thank u. We can’t be all bad, it’s a family environment with no pressure and alot of dogs.. We personally don’t like to “BE SOLD” so we try and treat people with the same amount of respect and decency we would require..
We searched the interent for a used car for our 17 yr. old. We went to many “trashy” dealerships throughout the day. We saved My First Car as our last stop, and were floored by the selection and prices. We aren’t talking “like new”, nor were we looking for that. But we had a limited and budget and had several cars to choose from. Definitely test drive the cars! Owners were on hand to give explicit information about every car we inquired about. Sales process went very smooth. Everything easy and up front like its supposed to be. Do your homework, don’t be greedy and you should be fine. My son loves his car, it was definitely the right choice for us.
Hey buddy, guess who? its the son of the person you screwed! You got guts talking shit about my family. Is that all you do is talk shit and pay off the cops? Now have u figured out who i am? IF not ur a dumb jack-off who is married to a redneck!!!! Hate 2 tell u but my dad was born n raised in NJ, also unlike you, we don’t have to live in a homeless shelter!!!! You are seriously nothing more then a lying stealing backstabbing asshole who says one thing and then does the complete opposite!!! Oh and by the way i do have a question for you. Why did you give me keys to cars that you wanted test driven WITHOUT CHECKING TO SEE IF I EVEN HAD A LICENSE???? Your business ethics are some of the worst in the entire world… Scott Polikoff’s business ethics are worst then George Bush’s Presidency! So if you have the gahona’s 2 reply just email me at [email protected]…..

HAVE A NICE DAY!!!https://cardealercheck.com/../../forum/images/smilies/cool.gif
THIS IS A WEBSITE TO RATE THE QUALITY AND SERVICE OF THE DEALERSHIP NOT TO AIR YOUR PERSONNAL ISSUES.. BUT I’LL TAKE THE TIME AND RESPOND FOR ALL THE CUSTOMERS WHO TAKE THIS SERIOUS. I HIRED YOU AND YOU BROUGHT IN YOUR COUSIN OR KID (WHOEVER HE WAS) YOU LEFT AFTER 1 WEEK AND LEFT ME WITH THIS GUY, HIS WIFE AND KIDS.(SOMETHING OUT OF THE MOVE, WRONG TURN) I FELT BAD FOR HIM AND LET HIM TRY AND EARN A BUCK. THEN HE LEFT AFTER 2 WEEKS AND GOES BACK TO…. I DON’T KNOW…WEST VIRGINIA. HE COMES BACK A WEEK LATER LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED. THEN THE KID HITS ONE OF MY CARS AND HE DIDN’T KNOW HOW TO FIX ANYTHING. NORMAL PEOPLE GET UP AND GO TO WORK EVERYDAY.
I TRIED TO HELP YOU PEOPLE AND IN RETURN YOU SLANDER MY NAME, POST MY HOME PHONE ON THE INTERNET.
WHY WOULD SOMEONE BRAG ABOUT NOT HAVING A DRIVER’S LISCENSE…IS THAT SUPPOSED TO ADD TO YOUR CREDIBILITY (BIG WORD) AND WHAT ARE GOHONA’S…
THIS REVIEW IS JUST STUPID.. 2 THUMBS DOWN FOR THE IDIOT:confused::confused:
Quoted price to son in the presence of reliable friend who witnessed quote, dealer did not write down price for son, and when final papers were being drawn to close the deal, dealer claimed son misunderstood and added $700 to price. I think the dealer thought we would spend the extra cash for our son (because he really wanted the vehical and had spent alot of time having the truck checked by our mechanic) but with 2 kids in college and $2500 dollars worth of known repairs needed to the truck to make it drivable, the deal fell through. In the face of the dishonesty we walked. :devil(
Maybe your son is lying to you. He came in claiming to be this guy who “could work on the truck” (swapping out the transmission) which the dealership said was bad, so then they decided to give you the truck, a 1997 Ford F250, at dealer cost since your son said he would be able to take care of the issues. So why would the dealership tell your son it has a bad transmission and then try to lie about $700? If they really wanted to rip your son off wouldn’t they try to cover up the trucks transmission problem as much as possible and sell it for their original selling price of somewhere around $4000 and make like 2 grand off of it? The truck had issues that the dealership was very up front about to begin with. So what I’m getting at is, why in the hell would they want to lie to you about prices if they’re sitting there telling you that the truck has issues and will need a new tranny? It would be pointless and retarted. Maybe your son has hearing problems or maybe he’s too busy begging you to lend him money for a vehicle for college he’s gone retarted? Then again maybe it was a simple miscommunication. The dealership gave you one price. They didn’t think they were dealing with complete idiots, just simple down to earth college kids, so it didn’t seem necassary to have to discuss price 20 times. Should they have written it down, probably. But Christ, when someone’s honest word isn’t enough, I have to ask, are you people lawyers? And as far as dishonesty goes, I was an eye witness, and I heard the dealer give the quote of $2800 several times. I have no need to lie, I could honestly care less but it truly discusts me when I read this review written by someone who had a mere 5 minute phone conversation with one of the dealers then jumps down their throat and calls them a lier. Another thing that seems even more retarted is the fact that they let you take the truck to your mechanic to get it checked out after telling you what they knew about the truck needing repairs, you still seem to think they want to get over on you. Hmmmm. let me see, the dealer let us know before hand the defects of the truck. They let us take it to our mechanic. Before that they let us drive it at least 2 times. BUT WAIT! Now they’re gonna jack the price up a random $700! Those BASTERDS!…… You people have got to be kidding me, right? 😀
..also ..the dad who is a lawyer(?) came in not once but twice. Once to drive the truck and the other to take the truck to a mechanic. He (Mr. Lawyer) never discussed the price but relied on his 18 year old son. (Can he defend me please.)Then he has his wife call back and call my wife a lier. My wife of 25 years from South Carolina who has never lied in her life. What is wrong with society today ???(lawyers)
DR. MR LAWYER..WE RESEARCHED THIS AND WE QUOTED YOU THE PRICE THAT WAS POSTED ON-LINE…MAYBE WE SHOULD SUE YOU (MR LAWYER) FOR SLANDER….THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO ARE TRUSED LESS THAN CAR DEALERS…LAWYERS…ATLEAST WE GIVE SOMETHING OF VALUE..NOT EXPENSIVE DOUBLE TALK…
Anybody that has purchase a car from here or had it worked on at my first car i was the mechanic there for the last 3 weeks. I know the BS that Scott has done to his cars like putting junkyard parts in them and Afro-engineering to make them acceptable, clearing codes and pouring brake fluid in transmissions so the trans will go, wiring up electric fans for heating problems and other miscellaneous Things. If you have any questions and i have worked on your car or you may have questions about your car that I can answer honestly, feel free to contact me at [email protected].. Also available for any court appearances. Sorry for your lost!!!! Scott’s Cell number is XXX-XXX-XXXX (edited by Car Dealer Check)
:)WOW…1st off everyone uses junkyard parts, that’s nothing special. 2nd, what are you implying about “afro-engineering”? Just because you come from the south (as does my wife, who has all her teeth, unlike yourself) doesn’t mean you can insult people like that. That shows what you’re all about…racist! As far as working on cars, why were you there for only 3 weeks? Because you didn’t come to work and you don’t know how to fix a car? I spent $1400 to fix a transmission that you supposedly fixed (that explains the brake fluid in the tranny). Is that how you fix a transmission cause I know I wouldn’t do it that way. You brought your entire family here (anyone ever see texas chain saw massacre, you know that family) We didn’t even hire you but your uncle. If someone called you what would you tell them…you didn’t work on anything ????As far as my personal character goes: I graduated college, that’s the “BS”, Bachlelor of Science in Business Management. I also spent 8 years in the Air Force, I coach little league soccer, basketball, baseball and softball. I’m involved in the PTA and was the school mascot and I’ve been married for 25 years. What is your claim to fame, Tom??? I’d give out your number but you don’t have a phone. Who’s computer are you borrowing ?? Do they have PC in homeless shelters??:devil(
wow you really do have the gift of gab that is why you are the perfect salesman.
