Buying my car from Frank Myers Auto Maxx was the best decision I have ever made. I have bought several cars and, while I never had a bad experience, I also never had a great one until I bought my Durango from Brandon at Frank Myers. Brandon was my salesperson and he was very courteous and attentive. Rich handled all the paperwork and explained everything in great detail. I had a fun time while waiting…I was there during something called Family Film Night and they were showing Return To Space Mountain on a flat screen. The time went by quickly. Thanks to Frank Myers Auto Maxx for showing me what a great car shopping experience is supposed to be like. I will not shop anywhere else for my cars from now on.
The best decision you ever made? WOW! Thank you for being so nice. I appreciate you.

I have given Frank Myers Auto Maxx these ratings because the kind of customer service that I received from them, especially my salesperson Mike, made me feel right at home. They made me felt so comfortable that I opened up and told them what my budget was and how much I had for a down payment.
Other than their customer service, their prices are reasonable and their cars are under warranty. That made me feel good and gave me peace of mind. The cars all looked new and were really clean.
I would always recommend them to my friends who are in the market to Frank Myers Auto rather than any other place. Thank you Frank Myers Auto Maxx.
We had been searching for a used vehicle for a long time and was tired of the process. We have previously used only “Buy Here Pay Here” places and have always been very unhappy. We found a Trailblazer listed online at Frank Myers Auto Maxx. We drove down, checked it out and loved it! It was a great price and super clean inside. It helped that Frank Myers Auto Maxx is a Certified Master Dealer as well. Uche, nick named Ooche, was our sales person. He was awesome! He was very friendly and professional. I would certainly go back to Frank Myers Auto Maxx in the future for all my purchases.
Being a Certified Master Dealer is important to me and my Team. I’m glad you noticed. Call me if you need anything. I am here for you.

I have bought 2 different cars from Frank Myers Auto Maxx. A used Toyota and a used Dodge Ram truck. Both times they helped me find the car that fitted my needs and my budget. They always have made me happy. The great rating I left is from the experiences I have always had with them. They have always treated me like a person instead of the other car dealers that I have visited that have treated me like I am shark bait. I would refer anyone to Frank Myers Auto Maxx because they are just plain great.
I’m glad you didn’t feel like Shark Bait at Frank Myers Auto Maxx. It must be our Non-Commissioned Sales Pros?! Take care and let me know if you need assistance with anything in the future.

Almost 3 months after we bought our truck from Frank Myers Auto Maxx & the vehicle we bought is the best one we’ve ever owned. We were looking for a Silverado with an extended cab when I drove by their used car dealership and saw a 2007 model with four wheel drive!
When I sat in this truck, it was like heaven. My husband and I have always driven Chevys and this one is like brand new. Brandon was my salesperson and was the best. The experience was awesome. No hassles and no pushy sales pitches. We got nothing but the utmost respect from these people. The entire sale was smooth and uncomplicated. Thank you Brandon for our dream truck and for being a great salesperson. We had a great experience & will be back.
My husband and family and I were looking for a used car to take the place of the one we had before the accident. I looked online and found a car that I thought looked nice and we liked the price. We decided to go look on a Friday. We were just going on a looking and not expecting to purchase a car on the first visit to any dealer. When we got to Frank Myers Auto Maxx we were met by the owner and the guy on TV, Tracy Myers. What a pleasant surprise to meet a local celebrity and impressed that the owner of a company was greeting his customers. It was a VERY hot day and when I told Tracy that I had seen a car on the internet he invited us inside to look for that one instead of going through the lot. I really appreciated that idea. He introduced us to one of his employees named Bruno. We found the car on their website and Bruno went out and brought it into the shop area so we could look at it out of the heat. Very nice touch! We liked the way it looked so we took the car out for a test drive. The car was very nice and handled like a new one. After the drive, we went in and talked with Bruno about what it would take to get into the car. I told him we couldn’t get the car that day because we never buy the first car we see.We left with a handshake and a fair offer to buy the car.
On Monday or Tuesday, we returned and purchased the car dealing again with Bruno. This was one of the easiest transactions I have ever had. He explained everything that needed to be done and did not try to pressure us into buying anything extra that I didnt want.
I have never been on a car shopping trip where we decided to buy the first car we saw. It usually takes us weeks of looking. The people at Frank Myers Auto Maxx were excellent to deal with and really made us feel good. We have told several people that they needed to visit Frank Myers Auto Maxx when they need a different car.
First off, I purchased a 2008 Nissan Altima. I’m in love with it. However, I did shop around when I heard of Frank Myers Auto Maxx. So I went online and saw this vehicle and fell in love with it but knew my credit was pretty much shot. I decided to give it a try anyway because I really wanted the Nissan Altima. I get to the dealership and am welcomed by Bruno Recina (spelling?) I told him my story about my credit and Bruno told me no problem. When working with me Bruno, he was nice, patient, fun, and professional. After going to Frank Myers this time, I know when it comes time for my second car I am going back. I was also impressed with the customer service and everybody was just full of so much energy. I recommend Frank Myers Auto to all my friends and family.
purchased a car 10/31/09, and began having problems with the heating system I went back to the deelership to report the problems to the Service Mgr., Robert. After talking with him, he got very personal and told me that he had a feeling no one would be able to meet my needs. He treated me awful and refused to help me. I complained to Tracy Myers who via email responded and via email gave me permission to take the car to Flow Mini.
They did not repair the correct part which was a $12.00 hose. The car kept leaking antifreeze unknown to me so Flow Mini’s repair of $458 (radiator, etc..) did not help. The car began to overheat on a stretch of highway with construction so I couldn’t pull over. The engine melted basically, the car was towed to a local mechanic with a 38 year stellar history in Clemmons. They diagnosed the car which cost me $1,000 approximately (including rental car fees). The supposed Warranty on the Frank Myers Certified Vehicle would not honor the warranty to fix the engine for $4,600, so the car had to be repossessed, ruining my credit. I consulted an attorney at the cost of $800 but she indicated they would prolong the issue and cost me more monies. AVP warranty and Tracy Myers did nothing to help. I bought the car 10/31/09 and the car blew up in Mid March. The warranty company was wanting to know my history of how I kept up my previous vehicles, what maintenance I had done on this one. My question to all people in the community is this? If Tracy Myers gets on TV promising a Life Time Warranty on Certified Vehicle why didn’t he come through for me? I had owned the car a little over 4 months with 75K on it and less than 3,000 miles put on the car. What kind of repairs should I have made within 3,000 miles on a newly purchased car???
Tracy Myers indicated to my mechanic that AVP warranty would not honor the warranty on my certified car because Flow Mini Cooper had misdiagnosed the vehicle. I was forced to buy a $1,500 car and allow the Mini to be repossessed by C&F Finance Co. out of Richmond Va. For all I know Tracy Myers could have had one of his people buy the car at auction again, replace the engine and resale it to someone else instead of doing the ethical thing and replacing the engine. He and AVP warranty forced me into bankrupcty due to all the expenses I encountered. My analogy would be: if a doctor misdiagnoses you, does Blue Cross & Blue Shield or Med Cost have the right to refuse payment? I believe when you wrong a person whether it’s a neighbor, customer or patient, it will come back to you. Tracy Myer’s Certified Vehicle and Life Time Warranty isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. That is my experience and I have dozens of people to back me up on that!!!!!

My name is Tracy Myers and I am the owner of Frank Myers Auto Maxx. Thank you for allowing me to address the concerns you have about your Mini Cooper. To make things simpler for us both, I will share the responses one at a time below.
1) We have discussed your dissatisfaction with our Director of Service, Robert Thomas. Without going into a lot of details, I hope that we have already come to a resolution regarding your past experiences with him. If not, please let me know so that I can answer any questions that you still have.
2) When you took the car to Flow Mini, they initially told you that it was overheating because it needed a radiator and was going to cost $486. We (My dealership) agreed to pay for that and we all assumed that the problem was fixed.
3)Per your post, “They (Flow Mini) did not repair the correct part which was a $12.00 hose.” That is when your vehicle overheated and caused the engine damage which “melted your engine.” After this unfortunate incident, you had it “towed to the local mechanic with a 38 year stellar history in Clemmons”. I personally spoke to that mechanic and you are correct…he is excellent at what he does. He is the one that told me that Flow diagnosed your car wrong and that it what caused it to overheat which, in turn, caused your engine to melt.
4) Even though I felt in my gut that AVP would deny the warranty claim on your Mini because of the problem not being diagnosed properly by Flow (which eventually caused the breakdown), my service department still submitted the repair to them. They (the warranty company) agreed to send an adjuster to consider the repair and that’s when they asked for your maintenance records on the Mini. All they wanted was a receipt showing that your oil had been changed. Since you didn’t provide that, the warranty company had no choice but to deny the claim.
Please know that our Engines For Life warranty is honored by a 3rd party (Assured Vehicle Protection) and administered by Marathon Administrative Company. They are both legitimate companies with stellar reputations that have served our clients well over the years. I can assure you that if Flow had properly diagnosed the problem with your Mini and they had submitted the proper claim the first time, we wouldn’t be having this conversation. Or if you had simply provided an oil change receipt, AVP would have gladly sent an adjuster out to consider the repair. Either way, I feel that your hardships could have been prevented.
In closing, let me say that I appreciate you as a customer. Your story truly makes my guts hurt and I wish there was something…anything that could be done to make your frustration go away. If you have any ideas, I am always here to discuss them and will gladly do so.
Sincerely,
Tracy Myers

Happens ALL the time with these pinheads.
Mine and my mothers experience with this used car dealership took place over several weeks. I came in with my mother when she was ready to buy a new car. She asked me to sit with her through the sales process. Later on my husband and I came just to test drive several different models for her to help her out. The sales people who helped us were fast and courteous, and didn’t even ask us if we were interested in buying them. There was no pressure at all and that makes me thankful. When we came in the last time to test and purchase a vehicle, we had a very pleasant experience with everyone involved. Of course, we appreciated the price because it was very competitive. I can’t think of any reason not to do business with this organization.
Everything was superior at Frank Myers Auto Maxx in every way. The sales staff was friendly, especially Eric- the deal went smoothly. They didn’t mind all my calls and questions during my shopping. They made sure that everything was right before the deal was complete. They did what they said they would do and didn’t play games. They definitely went out of their way to make sure of customer satisfaction. Frank Myers Auto Maxx is a great used car dealership in Winston-Salem, NC.
Correction on my last post: I gave Frank Myers Auto all 5’s but, for some strange reason, 3’s showed up in the review. Not sure what happened but Frank Myers Auto and the staff deserve an all-5 score. Please change it if you can. Thank you.
Mike, Keith and Ashley were incredible to work with when I went Frank Myers Auto Maxx used car dealership with a very specific list of criteria I hoped they could meet. Not only did I find them to be extremely personable and helpful, but they also met every one of my needs (demands?). They worked with me and were so professional, I have absolutely no reservations about recommending them to anyone I know who is looking for a quality used vehicle. The finance department made sure they kept my payments well within my budget, and the sales department immediately found two vehicles that exceeded my needs and wants. This dealership and the staff at Frank Myers have fully earned my respect, loyalty, and future business.
I got to tell you that my experience at Frank Myers Auto Maxx on was an experience that my family and me will never forget. I was without a vehicle because my car was totaled last year. When we arrived close to closig time, Keith came out and greeted us. There was one car we had in mind but I didn’t purchase that one because I decided on another one. Keith then mentioned a couple of other cars and one of them was the 2009 Nissan Altima. That is the one that I drove off with that night. Travis told us that things can be worked out and it was. After talking and dealing with Travis and Keith, I must say that they know what they are doing. I am so happy to have visited Frank Myers Auto on that night. I am very, very, very satisfied with the deal, the payments, and best of all my Altima! Keep Up The Great Work Frank Myers Auto Maxx.
The Frank Myers customer service I received was spectacular. I called Frank Myers and spoke with Travis. I explained the situation I was in and was not sure if he could help me out. I had a car that I currently was still paying for and had a balance left on the loan. I wanted to find a good used truck & trade the car and use it as part of my down payment. I was very limited on cash for a down payment funds & I also have a very low credit score. I really needed an affordable and dependable truck because at my job I’ve got to have one and the car was not working for me.
I also required low monthly payments that would fit into my budget. I knew I was asking a lot of Travis and he assured me he would do his best in helping me.
I really did not expect things to work out for me because they never do. My luck is bad. I had been to several new car dealerships over the past few months only to be turned down or told they required a ton of money down and the monthly payments would be anywhere from $400 a month or more for a truck. That’s just not in my budget. I have only one income and it’s not a lot. Just as I was about to give up, I was told I should try Frank Myers Auto Maxx.
Travis and several others worked together as a team to get me into something that would work for me. In May 2010, I got my 2006 Ford Freestyle Crossover. My trade-in was applied as a down payment and I got affordable monthly payments! I could not be happier!
I was not treated like I was stupid just because I had bad credit as so many other dealerships have done. I also got what I wanted & I will highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for the right place. These people stand by what they say & they will work very hard to get you what you want. Why would you go anywhere else when you can go to Frank Myers AutoMaxx and be treated the way you deserve and not like just another dollar sign. I was told by all the others I could not get my truck and Uncle Frank got it for me!
I bought a 2002 ford explorer back in Feb. The brakes were suppose to be replaced , but 2 weeks later they started grinding and not working properly. Now the explorer is sitting in my driveway and will not start….and I haveonly had it about 3months.. I was told I was getting a great vehicle but now after putting 3000 dollars down on it , I am wondering how am I gonna get to work tonight.

This is the 3rd vehicle we bought from Frank Myers Auto Maxx. I have never been treated so well and felt as respected at a dealership as I do at Uncle Franks. Brandon went above and beyond to do whatever it took to get us a vehicle that was affordable for us. Tracey was so patient with us and even went above and beyond to help us get the best deal we could get. They were really busy this past Friday and I sat and watched the staff busting there butts off . They never once made us feel like were ignored. They kept us in the loop as to what was going on. I will continue to buy all my vehicles from Frank Myers and refer them to others as well.
Thank you for your kind words. At the end of the day, your happiness is our happiness. Have a great day and we hope to see you again soon!
Frank Myers Auto Maxx was full of wonderful surprises. As a recent BK graduate, I had many hurdles to overcome to rebuild my credit standing. I have always taken pride of my credit and was embarrassed when I had to file for bankruptcy. The thought of going to a car dealership without my once stellar credit score left me to feel as though I would not have the same bargaining power as once did. I felt as though I was at the mercy of a car dealer to get approved because I really needed some new transportation.
I had always bought new cars and I had decided not to do that again. I had started doing research on local used car dealers and came across Frank Myers Auto Maxx. It was a big surprise that I kept reading so many great things about their store. While I didn’t mean to stereotype, I had always looked at them as “just another used car lot”.
So I decided to visit the store and I was approached by a knowledgeable and understanding salesperson. I explained to Nancy about my situation, and every time she replied “no problem”. I told her I had the worst credit ever and she still treated me like I was a member of the royal family. Other dealers were rude to me after I mentioned my bankruptcy. Nancy suggested I go through their no obligation pre-approval process and I felt no pressure at all.
When we came inside, she made me feel better. She listened to me even though I was babbling on forever. I got anxious and started having a panic attack (my fault, not theirs). The showroom was full of people, the staff seemed happy. Everyone said hello many times and made sure I was taken care of. I have to be completely honest, I saw their funny tv commercials since I was a little girl and like them but I never expected a great experience like the one I got.
The following day, a manager called me to make sure my car shopping experience was what I expected. Here was the part I was expecting someone to turn the screws but they didn’t. The manager was extra nice and didn’t pressure me to come back at all which made me want to go back and buy my car sooner than later.
Very happily surprised and can’t wait to go back to buy my next car.
The entire team at Frank Myers Auto Maxx LOVES to hear success stories. Thank you for sharing and remember…if you ever need us, we are here for you.
We drove from Raleigh which is more than 2 hours away to buy from Frank Myers Auto Maxx because it was a good price and I got the lifetime engine warranty for free with my purchase price. It was certainly worth the trip. Our salesperson was Brandon and was pleasant to work with from start to finish. He listened closely to me and made me feel good about what I was doing. After some email and phone negotiations with Ashley, the day we decided to buy he had the car ready to drive away and everything went as promised. If only every salesperson was like him and Ashley and the manager John. We were tired of going around to dealers in our area and being pressured to buy it now cause the deal won’t last. A new car was a major purchase for me and my family and we weren’t going to do it without shopping around. At our local big box dealership, the person we’d worked with over several months turned into a psycho when we refused to sign a contract to buy on the spot after a test drive. That was the end of our dealings with him. What a loon. After researching for more than a year, we had decided we wanted to buy an SUV for our family. So I contacted Frank Myers Auto via the internet and we knew exactly what we wanted, and Ashley respected that. The long distance buying experience was unexpectedly good and we would do it again.
I had come in for an oil change and Jill told me I needed to replace the air filter, have tires rotated and also suggested I replace the battery. She gave me some really good prices for these items and after talking about the low mileage on my Chrysler Sebring, she said she was going to check to see if battery was under warranty. It was a very nice surprise to find out that it was. When I arrived, I asked Jill how long she thought it would take to complete the service because I didn’t make an appointment, she said about an hour. My car was in the service department and out in a little more than an hour. I always took my other car to a another garage but I will use Jill, RObert and Frank Myers Auto service as long as they are there and continue to give me the great service they did the other day. Jill was very considerant of my needs and it was nice dealing with another lady.
We have bought three cars from Uncle Frank and would love to tell our story to tell about how great it is to trade with your dealership.
Several months ago, my son had been shopping to buy a newer car. He called me several times while shopping at a lot of the new car stores in town and was getting very frustrated with the poor experiences. He was at his wits ends dealing with the dealer employees talking down to him at various Winston dealerships.
At one point, he called me and was almost in tears over his frustration with A**hole salespeople thinking he was not able to buy a car or trying to push him into cars he didn’t want.
It was late that evening and I called Traci Myers at Frank Myers Auto who I go to church with. I told him the story of my sons bad experiences and told the Tracy I have had good experiences with his dealership and wanted the same for my son and his first new car. Mister Myers offered to help us personally to make sure my son would have a great car buying experience.
I drove and picked up my son the next day to go see Mister Myers. My son picked the color and style he wanted and once he drove it, he was so happy.
Rich the finance director got my son approved without me co-signing and made me happy. We finished the paper work and he drove back home and was excited about buying his first car from Frank Myers Auto Maxx. He was especially tickled that Mr. Myers was the one that helped him (Mr. Myers is a local celebrity because he is on TV).
We will be back again and again. Great dealership Mister Myers.
We purchased a pre-owned 2008 Nissan Altima three weeks ago. Saw the on ad online, called and confirmed it was still on the lot with Nancy. Drove 2 hours round trip to purchase. From the moment we got there everything went extremely well. Mark Hedgecock was friendly, professional and very attentive. The Altima was exactly as advertised. Price was as stated. No presuure to buy, no “bait and switch” like we had experienced at other dealers before, no pressure to buy additonal items at time of purchase. We weren’t able to obtain financing the day we came to look at the car because it was Saturday and the banks were closed. Mark drove the 2 hour trip and delivered the car on his day off. This is what I call service. I would highly recommend Mark and Frank Myers Auto Maxx to anyone shopping for a car. We will be returning customers.
I recommend the used cars at Frank Myers Auto very highly, starting with salesman Zach Kapp, who is the most energetic, hard-working, and sincere car salesperson with whom I have ever dealt. Thanks to his interest in helping me, I now have a nicer car with a lower monthly payment. From my first phone contact on a Tuesday evening, to a question several days after the sale, Zach was fully engaged in helping me, including scouring the lot for cars that matched what I needed in a car and a monthly payment.
I believe Zach is the poster child for customer satisfaction at Frank Myers Auto Maxx and maybe the entire car industry. My wife and I were impressed with the friendly, fun time atmosphere and teamwork of the entire staff to make our used car shopping experience successful and positive.
Manager Keith Bauman found a solution to the one drawback the car had for me and scheduled an appointment to fix the cd player that didn’t work. Finance Manager Rich Little led us through the paperwork in a relaxed and expert manner. Service Mgr Robert Thomas welcomed us into the service department so we would have a warm, illuminated area for switching cars on a cold, dark winter night. We left with assurances that any of these individuals would help us afterwards if we needed, and based on my return visit a few days after the sale, this offer of help was genuine.
Everyone we met seemed to really enjoy their work and their customers; everything was done easily, professionally, and thoughtfully.
Always a great experience dealing with the Frank Myers crew, always friendly, and always helpful, I have purchased 2 vehicles from them. After a lot of price and quality shopping at other stores, I ended back at their dealership for my puchases. Service on both vehicles has been terrific, any problems that arose were taken care of quickly and correctly the first time. There is always a very friendly atmosphere at the dealership I stop in just to chat with the crew when I’m close.
We have been working with Bruno at Frank Myers Auto Maxx for the last 2 weeks as we begin our automotive search. I cannot say enough praises for the dealership on their courtesy, friendliness, and their no-pressure atomosphere. I’m not one who fills out these online ratings, and I havent even purchased a car yet, but I just want others out, there who are sick and tired of the ‘used car salesman’ routine and pressure, that you will be pleasantly surprised at the employees at Franks. They treat you and your whole family with respect, courtesy and kindness. All of their cars are clean, and seem to be in excellent condition.
I wanted to give Bruno and Keith a huge compliment – for being extremly patient while answering all of my wife’s questions. When we decide on which car we want, we will definately purchase it from Frank Myers Auto Maxx.
Hello Mr. Wagoner,
I appreciate the kind words and your loyalty to our dealership. Bruno and Keith are both great employees…I am glad that you were able to meet them.
When you get ready, let us know. We’ll be here for you!

I want to start of by saying how Greatful I am to have visited and purchased from Frank Myers. Me and my girlfriend had visited several dealerships before coming to Frank Myers with nothing but high pressure salesman showing me cars that I could not afford..Frank Myers is different Jim and Rich reviewed my information 1st then showed me vechicles that I could get financing on. My credit not being the best they still found me financing with $ 2,000 down payment. The down payment was more then I wanted to pay but ultimately this was not in there control. Having worked for a bank I understood that since the economic crash lending instutions have raised there requirements to limit there risk. I purchased my car and enjoy it daily.. Thank you Tracy and Frank Myers staff for doing business with upmost integrity and professionalism :):):):)
“Such a great place to buy a car. Bruno was my salesman. He was very nice and honest. He kept his word by checking back in with me when he said he would. I’m in a wheel chair and we are so satisfied with our vehicle and space and leg room. And I have room for my wheelchair now thanks to Bruno. And everyone has been so nice too. Keith was nice. Bruno was so helpful and understood our needs.”
-Ann & Bernard King
We appreciate everything that they did for us at Frank Meyers Auto. All of the staff was very nice and I bought a nice car. My monthly payment was really low and that was the most important thing to me. Also I wanted a dependable car and I got a 2006 Honda Accord. Nothing more dependable than a Honda Accord in my opinion. My new car also came with a great warranty which is something else I was looking for. Most of the dealers in town sell cars with no warranty but not at Uncle Frank’s! This dealer is way above average in my opinion. We will buy again from them.
Awesome! The Lord is truly faithful to those who love and trust Him! Matthew was our salesperson who assisted us today and because of the Christian values here at Frank Myers, we were able to purchase a great vehicle to meet the needs of my family. To God be the glory and thank you Frank Myers and Matthew for a relaxing atmosphere and car buying success.
This dealer made it easy to buy a car. It was fun and simple. The entire staff at Frank Myers Auto Maxx from the sales department as well as the service department were friendly and efficient. The financing was easy and they got us a very low interest rate. It took a little longer than expected to sign the paperwork and head home but they were super busy. It would be nice if they had some more help so the process would have been a little quicker. We will still be referring all our friends and family. In the future this is the first dealership we will turn to for help.
I visited Frank Myers Auto Maxx with my husband in the middle of a snow storm and they were slammed with customers buying cars. Earlier today I had gone to 2 of the new car stores in Winston Salem and there were no customers there. It was like a ghost town. Carmax wasn’t unfriendly but they were boring. Yawn! North Point was snobby. Must have been the sweat pants I was wearing that turned them off. At Frank Myers Autos Maxx, they were all super friendly especially my salesman Derrik, Keith and Rich. They gave me a great deal on my 2008 Nissan Altima, gave me a tshirt, popcorn, had good music playing. This place was fun! I love it there and recommend it to anyone and everyone buying a car in North Carolina. Thank you so much.
Gracie,
It was great meeting you today and YES…we have tons of fun. C’mon over and visit us anytime. And if you wear your “EVERYBODY RIDES” t-shirt, I’ll give you a FREE oil change! How’s that for good times? 😀
Sincerely,
Tracy Myers

THEY WILL LIE RIGHT TO YOUR FACE AND LOOK YOU IN THE EYE WHILE DOING IT, BE CAREFUL ON WHAT THEY DO AS FAR AS GETTING FINACING, THEY WILL TELL YOU TO LIE, PUT THAT YOU PUT THE DOWN PAYMENT DOWN, THEY LIE TO THE LENDERS, IN THE END YOU END UP WITH NO CAR.
Dear carolina835,
My name is Tracy Myers and I am the owner of Frank Myers Auto Maxx. It saddens me that you had a bad experience at my dealership. Since you didn’t tell me who you are in your post, I can’t address anything specifically. However, I will say that if anyone on my staff asked you to lie to a finance company about anything, then I will terminate them. I take great pride on being one of the “good guys” in the automotive industry and the type of unscrupulous behavior that you described will not be tolerated. I want to encourage you to call me on my direct number at (336) 831-0646 so we can schedule a time to sit down face to face and discuss what happened while you were here. My motive is not to sell you a car (even though I would like to have you as a customer). Instead, my motive is to get to the bottom of your unhappiness and discover how I can prevent any future customers from feeling the same way as you. Plus, it would give me an opportunity to meet you and discover which of my employees violated your trust and our strict company policy of lying to a lender.
Same thing happens to me I would never recommend anybody buy from frank myers Keith told us to lie to truliant when they called which resulted in them not going thru with the loan and having to take the vehicle back you guys have got to make money some how so why not just srew your customers over to get it since I never got my down payment back
Dear rsiskr,
My name is Tracy Myers and I am the owner of Frank Myers Auto Maxx. Let me start by apologizing for the obvious misunderstanding on my part regarding your transaction. I was under the impression that the truck had been wrecked while in your possession. I was told by my Team that the reason we kept your intital investment was NOT to gain a profit but to pay for any repairs that the vehicle may have needed. If that is not the case and my company has kept your money due to an oversight, I will gladly refund any money owed to you. Simply contact me as soon as you can so we can get this resolved for you.
I would also like to ask that you allow me to address your other concern about a member of my staff asking you to lie to a finance company. Please know that it is grounds for possible termination for any member of our Team to lie or ask anyone to lie to a vendor/partner of the dealership. I will investigate what you have shared with me and can assure you that this situation will be dealt with accordingly.
In closing, I appreciate the opportunity to give you “our side of the story” and look forward to speaking with you about it.
Sincerely,
Tracy Myers
Thank-you for your concerns but we have turned everything in to our insurance which we are still paying on for the vehicle but that’s ok but if they would’ve told the lender the truth in the first place we both would be happy right now car or no car then I wouldn’t have anything bad to say about the way. Things where handled telling the truth to all that are concerned with a deal is always the best as you probably know telling lies to get someone approved is not only dis honest but also against the law. But from what I have seen I don’t think you are dishonest but some of the employees you have are but that’s just my opinion on how things where handled
6 years ago I was in desperate need for a vehicle, I had 5 children at the time and my s-10 just wasnt cutting it anymore. I went to the dealership in the middle of the week just before they opened. No salesman came out to greet, instead it was the finance manager that came out. He asked me what I was looking for and I told him I needed a 7 passenger vehicle that was not a van. “No problem, let me look around” was his response. I wanted a chevy trailblazer but the one they had didnt have a 3rd row seat. I was informed to not be discouraged he would look around and call me. I was not passed off to a sales rep but rather a car was found and I was contacted to come back in the next morning if I had the time. Again the finance manager met with me and showed me a vehicle. A Dodge Durango SLT fully loaded with reasonable miles. 72,000 for a 2001 model. Yes I know the yearly average seems high for this area but not if youre from California. I was in the car with 500 dollars down and the remaining 13,000 financed. I am not a huge dodge fan and will never own another dodge again but the car that frank meyers cars sold me was an excellent buy that to this day is still runnning just like it was the day we bought it. Tip Top Shape. It has an additional 100,000 miles on it and with the exception of some “7 kids now” wear and tear still makes me proud to drive into any parking lot. Great Job to Tracy Meyers for operating a great dealership. When we are ready to buy again this will be the first lot we come too.
stg2,
I LOVE to hear stories like yours and I am blessed because I get to hear them almost every single day. It is exciting to me that your Durango gave you such great service. Take care and I hope to see you back in the showroom soon.

:confused::confused::confused: I had appleed online to get a approved for a car. Ms. Nancy gave me a call and was very nice to me although I didn’t get to meet her.:) Derek greeted me at the door when I came in to look at cars. I had some in my hand that I was interested in. I was approved for $9,000 because my credit is not in good shape. We went to look at the cars under or around that price and most of the cars online were definitely not seen on the lot. Derek told me I had to put $1500 dollars down which I didn’t have at all. The holidays were just over when I went there so I was broke. He said he could take $1200 or $1300 which is only a few hundred dollars less. The selection of cars that he showed me that were in the back(i call it) wasn’t any I wanted to invest in. I know i cant be too picky with how much I was approved for but there was plenty of cars online the amount i was approved for or less I would have loved to have drove home in. I didn’t have the money they wanted and they didn’t have a car I wanted. My suggestion is to get someone to keep the cars online updated because its a little deceiving. I would have loved to work something out with you guys.:confused::o:o
Hello and thank you for your comments. I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to respond. Please allow me to answer your concerns in the order they were given. First of all, I apologize that you didn’t get to meet Ms. Nancy. She is our appointment coordinator and I agree with you…she is very nice and very good at what she does. I am sure she would be excited to know that you missed seeing her while you were at the dealership. As far as the cars you saw online not being on the lot, I think we have a case of a simple misunderstanding. On our website, we actually have 2 places for inventory. One is our actual inventory at our Winston-Salem location which is updated daily. The other is called the Used Car Warehouse, which is made up of vehicles that are not at the Winston-Salem store but are available throughout our distribution network. It seems that those are the ones you were looking at. If you like any of those vehicles, it is very easy for us to bring any like them to the Winston-Salem store for you at no obligation and no pressure to buy. Simply let me know and I will make it so. In closing, let me say that I agree with you…down payments are ridiculous! The banks and finance companies that are loaning money on cars in today’s market are wanting way too much of a down payment. We can all jump up and down about it but, in reality, we don’t control it (they do) and I’m afraid that it is the “new reality” for buying cars and houses. Hopefully, it will change in the near future. My hope is that I answered all of your questions and concerns. Please call me personally at (336) 831-0646 and I will gladly explain things in more detail for you or go find you the vehicle that you originally saw online that you wanted.

I went to the Frank Myers service department and got my oil changed. Zach was in the waiting area and started talking to me. He was very professional. I asked him if he could show me a few cars while I waited. He agreed. I liked a Mazda Miata that they had on the lot and I drove it. I decided to see how much I could buy it for. Zach and Keith gave me a really good price and I decided to buy it. When I got it home, my wife freaked out on me. The car was small. I wasn’t even thinking about the kids. Bad dad! Anyway, I took it back the next morning and expected a lot of grief. But they reminded me of the money back guarantee that I had on my car and took it back with no problems and no hassles. I was really impressed with the company and their employees. Especially Zach and Keith. When I get ready to do business, I will not go anywhere else. The service department is also very good. Robert did a good job and my car was clean when I got it back.
I came in today and bought a 2007 Chevy HHR Panel Wagon from Derrick. It was a great deal on the car I wanted. I didn’t need to get financed because I was paying cash. Other than it taking a little long to do the paperwork after I agreed to the price I wanted to pay, it was a pleasure to meet the people there. Good place to buy a used car in the Triad. It was a cleaner and nicer HHR than the ones they were selling at the local Chevy store. The warranty was better at Frank Myers too. This was a good decision to buy here. My wife and I are using this car for our florist business and can’t wait to put it to use.
Well we bought a 1999 Nissan Maxima and after sitting at the dearlship for 4 very long days we got to take our car home!!! We had the warranty that come with and our car was supposed to be fixed!! Well after sitting at the dealership one day from 10 to 630 we took our car home agian just to take it back to the garge they deal with the next day to get it finished well after sitting there 2 days my check enegine light was still on in order for it to pass inspection they deleted the code and was done with it!!! Jason was amazing and so was Keith they helped us when no one else would!! But I am still very disapponited in the fact that my check enegine light is still on!! Im not knocking the dealer jus the fact that my car wasnt fixed after we waited so long to get the problem resloved!!! Brittney and Kris Drane
Hey Brittney and Kris,
Happy New Year & thank you for your valuable feedback. I absolutely remember you and the opportunities we faced with your 99 Nissan Maxima. Let me say how much I truly appreciate you being “guinea pigs” for our service department. When you visited us, our service center had probably only been open a mere few weeks. As in any new business, there were lots of struggles and growing pains. Thankfully, most of those have been resolved and I would like to invite you back for a complimentary oil change and a car wash. PLUS, I want to finally determine why the check engine light is coming on (if I have to do it myself ). And of course there will be no charge for that.
It is encouraging that you were happy with Jason and Keith. My guests and I agree that they are both incredible. LOL.
Thank you for also agreeing to recommend the dealership to your friends and family. There is no greater compliment that you can pay a company than to trust us enough to let us serve your loved ones.
I hope to hear from you very soon.

My Honda Accord came from Frank Myers Auto. I am happy that I bought it there. They worked with me to find me the car I wanted instead of the car they wanted to push me into. Mike sold me the Honda and was straight and to the point. He didn’t shoot me a bunch of crap like other salespeople. When I asked him a question he answered it. I dreaded car shopping but this was a nice experience.
Frank myers Auto Maxx is an institution in North Carolina and I just bought my 6th car from them. Jim Pappas was my salesman and was the best. He gave me no pressure at all to buy but answered all my questions. What I’m saying is that it was all done at my pace. I appreciate that. I believe the name of the person that helped me with my paperwork was Keith and he was really friendly. He explained the features of the car to me so I would know where everything was and how everything worked. I appreciate that very much. Tracey is the owner and he has always been there when I was there buying cars just like his daddy was when I bought cars from them many years ago. These are hands on people that really care. They sponsored my sons baseball team last year when they couldn’t afford to buy their own jerseys because of budget cutbacks. I really like my 2006 Honda Accord and I am glad I bought it from Frank Myers Auto. They are a local business that has made it through the depression and seems stronger than ever. See them next time I buy a car for sure.
First of all, I want to thank Zach Kapp and the rest of the great staff at Frank Myers Auto Maxx in Winston-Salem, NC for helping me get the best deal EVER on a used car. This was like the tenth dealer I had visited and I was determined to get a 2006 or 2007 Altima. The other places wanted $4,000 or $5,000 down payment and I didn’t have it. Frank Myers Auto Maxx got me approved on a 2007 Altima with 24,000 miles with only $500 down! My salesman is Zach and he is my boy! Friendly and attentive I just wish he was single. 😀 Richard Little did my paperwork and explained everything well without talking over my head. The owner even introduced himself as Tracey and we drank a cup of coffee together. Really nice to speak with and down to earth to boot.
I bought a ford focus with in a month the transmission started slipping. I took it back to frank myers and his mechanic told robert to have me change the transmission fluid and that would fix the transmission. Needless to say it continued to slip. I took it back to frank myers who than admitted it had a ford warranty on it. Traci Myers said he didn’t know it had a 1000 mile drive train warranty RIGHT!!!! Ford had this problem flagged and is fixing it free on all Ford focus’s. Mines a 2007. My mechanic also told me the bearing was real bad and needed fixed immediatly. The brakes were also to the hub. Ford rebuilt the transmission after I had paid the $115.00 for the transmission fluid change. Ford also fixed the bearing. Both under warranty if they hadn’t already been flagged by ford. The ford mechanic and frank myers mechanic are good friends. (I found this out when I went back several times for repairs) So why weren’t these problems fixed before it was sold? they did the 160 point insection ( or number close to that) why didn’t they find these problems and repair them before they sold the car. I know the mechanic had to know everything in a test drive that my mechanic found. My mechanic said if the bearing breaks i would wreck. Thanks to all of you at Frank Myer for not caring if my children die in an accident. The ford focus has a poor rating in all wrecks. I also had to pay to get new brake shoes and hubs. I had poor credit because my husbands work dropped to 1/3 of his usual pay. this was not our fault but we paid highly getting this piece of junk from frank myers. The water leaks in to the door. The front floor is always wet. This car should have been sold to a junk yard. Believe it or not he charged us 11,000 dollars of this piece of junk.
Where do a verifiy. I will gladly do it.
Thank you for posting a review of my service department. If I am not mistaken, you also posted a less than glowing review back in July under the user name FEDUPWITHRIPOFFS. Am I correct?
First of all, let me apologize for any problems that you may have had with your Focus. It is NEVER my intentions to sell a car that will give mechanical problems. However, I have reached out to you several times over the past few months and offered a variety of resolutions (to no avail).
Shortly after you had your transmission problem, I offered to trade you out of the Focus and into a car that you were happier with. You and your husband thanked us but refused. Then I paid for your rental car while your repair work was being completed by Ford. When you shared your unhappiness with the extended service contract that you bought, I helped you cancel it. Now you say that you have a leaking door and brake issues. I want to try and find out what is wrong with your door that is causing it to leak PLUS I want to reimburse you for your brake job and your transmission service. You shouldn’t have had to pay for either of these things. Did you keep the brakes or take a picture, by chance? My inspection report showed 60% of the brakes were remaining when we sold it.
In closing, I want you to know that I appreciate you as a customer and my door is always open to make my customers experiences better. It sounds as if you are still unhappy and, if you will call or email me, I will schedule a time to sit down and discuss how we can make this situation as good as possible. I can’t help if I don’t hear from you.
I am also having problems with a vehicle they sold me. Be very careful about this dealership they will lie to your face and it not bother them at all. Take vehicle to a certified mechanic before buying here. I was sold a car with multiple problems search for my other post for details username: daniel.george
Mr. George,
Thank you for your comment. I am glad that we got to meet and trade you out of the car you bought for one that you like better. If I can ever be of any assistance to you or your family, please call.

My 2001 Ford Taurus blew up earlier than I expected so I was forced to go car shopping. I hate car shopping but Zach and the rest of the nice people at Frank Myers Auto Maxx made my car buying experience as easy as possible. I ended up getting a 2008 Mazda 6. The price was cheaper than at the local Mazda store plus the people were much nicer at Frank Myers. I also got my first oil change for free. This is a classy organization and i will buy from them next time I need a car.
My name is Rodney Holliman and I just bought a Lexus from Frank Myers Auto Maxx. This is after I had already been to the Lexus store in Greensboro and Winston-Salem. They were snobby and acted like I couldn’t buy a car. I suppose that it was because I was wearing sweat pants and a t-shirt. However, when I came to Frank Myers Auto Max it was so different. The salespeople all spoke to me even though I had to wait a little too long to be helped. But they were slammed so I understood. At least they spoke to me and acknowledged my existence which is more than Lexus did. Everyone was also were nice even though I had an appointment with Robert Thomas. I didn’t feel like a scab like I did at the Lexus stores. I felt like I was wanted for something other than my money. Robert actually listened to what I said and didn’t shove me into a car I didn’t want. I drove the Lexus 430 and it was perfect. They let me take it to my mechanic and it checked out like a champ. I wrote a check and I love my car. I got a good deal and I WILL be back to see them when my wife is ready for a car.
The cash for clunkers ads have been all over tv and I have needed a new car for a long time. So I went to 4 new car dealerships in Winston Salem and Greensboro and they told me my car didnt qualify and my credit didnt either. I had given up because all of the car dealer ads that I see are deceiving and you never know when they are telling the truth. But then I saw a newspaper article about the Frank Myers Auto’s cash for junkers program and thought I would give it a go. In short, this was a great experience that I hope others can have when buying their next car. I had a price and a payment in about fifteen mintes and my financing was worked out in less than 45 minutes. I was driving home in my new Acura in less than 2 hours. Jason was my salesman and Keith was the manager that worked all the numbers out. The staff is really nice. They have lots of cars. My paperwork was explained where I could understand it. I am sending my friends and family to Frank Myers Auto’s.
I had a Ford Explorer with the transmission out of it. Took it to the new car store in town to trade it in duting the Cash For Clunkers program. What a joke that ended up to be. That’s when I heard about the Cash for Junkers program at Frank Myers Auto Maxx. Even though I was discouraged, I still went to check it out and was really surprised. I found a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country van that I liked and got $3500 for my Explorer…the new car store wouldn’t give me anything for it! I was in and out in less than an hour. The price I got was also $950 less than Carmax with a better warranty. I also got a free lifetime warranty on top of the factory warrranty. My salesperson was Cody and he was great. Nice and respectful and not pushy. He gave me a Carfax report without even asking for it. The new car store avoided my request for one 3 times before I stopped asking. I will be back to Frank Myers Auto Maxx to buy all my vehicles from now on and I recommend you to do the same thing if you live in the Winston-Salem, NC area.
I don’t mind buying cars but I hate service depts because I feel like am am being jipped. This time at Frank Meyers Auto’s service dept it was different. Quick, easy and good pricing. Felt honest to me. Good place to go and the shuttle is nice.
I needed a car but wanted what I wanted. The last time I bought a car I bought the nicest car I could but it was not what I wanted. After seeing the Frank Meyers Autos tv commercials on television, I decided to give them a shot at my business. Everything was a nice surprise to me. The salesperson was direct and to the point with no games. The cars and the building were nicer than most of the new cars dealers stores in my town. We also had fun listening to the music, spinning the prize wheel for prizes and all the people were joking and laughing. The busness manager Richard, got me a low payment on my 2008 Dodge Avenger. He was a nice guy and the car was exactly what I wanted. I have already took the car back for service and the service department is really good to. I would recommend these nice people to anyone.
I put in 5 stars for everything except price which got a 4. For some reason all the fields went to 3 stars.
Dealing with Mr. Myers and his team actually made me want to buy a car more than ever. They worked diligently to find the car that my wife wanted. Purchasing the vehicle was easy and hassle free. Seven months after the purchase they are still calling to make sure that all is well with our new car. If you want a great selection in cars, expert, non-confrontational sales, easy financing and good follow up service, I highly recommend Frank Myers Auto Maxx. You won’t be disappointed. They are the best in car sales. Thank you Tracy to you and your team.:)

WE WERE CHARGED $10,995, FOR A CAR THAT NEW WITH EXTRA’S COST $9,999. IS THIS THEIR IDEA OF A DEAL. THEY ALSO DIDN’T TELL US THAT THE CAR HAD A WARRANTY SO THEY SOLD US ONE FOR $1,785.00 WHICH WILL PAY FOR ABSOLUTLY NOTHING. THIS WARRANTY ENDS AT 83,000 MILES AND FORD’S ENDS AT 100,000 MILES. THE CAR HAS BROKE DOWN OVER AND OVER. THE TRANSMITION HAS BEEN REBUILT, THE BEARINGS HAVE BEEN REPLACED, THE TRANSMITION STILL DOESN’T WORK RIGHT THERE IS GRINDING IN THE FRONT END, THE TRANSMITION GOES OUT OF GEAR RANDOMLY LEAVING YOU WITH NO POWER TO GET OUT OF TRAFFIC. THE DISHONESTY AND LACK OF CARE TO CORRECT THIS SITUATION IS HORRIBLE. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN BEFORE YOU TO ARE CHEATED HORRIBLY.
Good morning. First of all, please allow me to apologize for the experience that you had at my dealership. Since I am not sure who you are, I can’t address your particular situation. However, please allow me to say that I want to sit down with you and try to accomplish 3 things:
1) Work out whatever mecahnical problems you are having with your vehicle.
2) Discover how we were able to sell you a car that retails new for $9995 for $10,995.
3) Explain your warranty and your service contract…the differences, how they work and what they cover. We GAVE you a free warranty. All of our cars come with one. However, it is only on the powertrain. We offer extended service contracts to protect against the “other stuff” that can break on a car.
Please know that I am the owner and I am openly available to talk to ALL of my customers and if wnyone in my organization showed dishonesty then they will be fired. I hope you will call so we can speak soon.
Tracy Myers
Yea your service dept showed dishonesty during their “160 point inspection” of my car. Missed a oil leak and bent axle on a car with 17,000 miles thats been wrecked huh? Doubt it. Just stay away from this place people please save yourself the misery.
This was my first experience with Frank Myers Auto Maxx, but I will definitely be back the next time we need a car upgrade! My salesperson was Tracy Myers and he really took the time with me to explain my options and work with my needs. I gave him my budget and he stayed within the range I specified and showed me lots of great cars! I ended up with a 2006 Pontiac G6. I love it! The financing process was super easy and the service was incredible. Tracy even had someone deliver the car and the paperwork right to my office! One trip, just about an hour to test drive a few, and he took care of the rest! No wasted Saturday or back and forth with financing and “extras”. It was a cinch!!
It was my pleasure helping you out and I am glad you took advantage of our new delivery service. If there is ANY other way that I can assist you in the future, please don’t hesitate to call or email me.
PS: Thanks for using our service department!

I have purchased two vehicles from Frank Myers Auto Maxx. I would recommend this dealer to anyone and have done so in the past. The salesperson let me take my time and select the vehicle I wanted and did not pressure me into a quick sale. The salesman knew this would be an investment that I would put my hard earned money into and did not rush me like most dealers to hurry in and hurry out for the next sale. I have purchased two Dodge trucks and have not had one problem from either vehicle. The warranty that came with the vehicle is excellent. This dealership reminds me of the dealers of old when they cared about what you purchased and made sure you could afford it. I was offered drinks and a snack to make sure my experience was pleasant. Most dealers today rush you into a vehicle whether you can afford it or not and dont offer that caring feeling. Frank Myers Auto Maxx is defnitely the best used car dealer on the east coast, if you dont believe me look at the recent award that was received that no one else arouond has received for their customer service and quality of vehicles. One of the biggest selling points for me was on the door going into the business where it has store hours listed for Sunday it says “Closed” because I know where Mr Myers is on Sunday where we all should be and thats church!
Go to Frank Myers Auto Maxx for your next purchase or risk buying a lemon.
I am honored to be known as the BEST Car Dealer on the East Coast! That is a huge compliment that I will NOT take lightly. I also want you to know how much we appreciate you as a member of the Frank Myers family. Keep enjoying your Dodge truck and I’ll see you next time.

I buy all my cars here and have never been let down. The owner is Tracey and he makes me feel like family. My kids cried because they didn’t want to leave the kids area. No pressure sales tactics. No car dealer games. The prices and payments are on the cars unlike the other dealers I went to where the salesman played dumb about the price. I really hate that. Gabriel Weaver was my salesman and he was really nice and professional. He went real slow and let us take our time. The price was not the best we found but it was not the highest either. I got a free lifetime warranty which is something new they offer and I love that. Frank Myers Auto is highly recommended by m e and I will be back to buy another car and to use their service center.
