I had been looking for a particular style Tacoma and I found it on their website. My wife and I drove 60 miles to take a look, when we got their we couldn’t find anyone to help us so we asked at the information desk and they finally got someone to help us. We knew what we wanted so all that remained was the trade in value of our 07. They gave us a good deal there so we signed the paperwork. This was on a Friday and our salesperson told us the truck would be ready the next day which I found hard to believe. That night at 8:45pm we get a call that there is a scratch on the bumper and they would like to fix it before we picked it up, I told them that it was fine and we would schedule to have it fixed later, they said that was fine and we would see them in the morning. 10 minutes later they call again and tell us they can’t get the insurance cards because our agent isn’t open on the weekend so we set our sites on Monday, Sunday night, again at 8:45pm, the salemen calls and tells us he can’t get it fixed by Monday and it would be Tuesday morning instead so I take Tuesday off from work so I can go, you guessed it, we get a call that evening again saying it won’t be ready untill 5pm on Tuesday I am more than hot at this point and threaten to end the deal, the salesmen says he will see what they can do. I call Tuesday morning and he says it will be ready by 3pm, I tell him it’s still too late how about Wednesday morning and now get this, he says he can’t because he has to take his daughter to school, believe me folks there is no way I could make this up! I tell him that I will be there at 2pm and ask him if it would be ready then, he says yes and I tell him I don’t want to have to sit there and wait, now he develops an attitude and again tells me it will be ready. I get there at 2pm to fill out the rest of the paperwork and the whole time this guy is borderline rude. I take the truck and half way home I remember that I left some paperwork in the glovebox so I give him a call and he tells me he’s with someone and he will check when he is done. Thats it, thats the last time I hear from this guy, called a couple times and e-mailed him with no response. never again and it’s a shame because I love the truck but every time I look at it it reminds me of my experience. Patience would have been a virtue in this case because a week later my old dealership (Burdick) got a simular truck that I would have purchased instead. Thanks Dorschel.
I had a top rate experience with this dealership and especially with the sales person, Mark Fujimura. I found him to be responsive, honest, professional and very helpful. Mark Fujimura went out of his way to deliver the car to me and was very helpful going over all aspects of my new purchase. He took the time to setup my phone with bluetooth. His professionalism was greatly appreciated.
My first visit with Tom was like a breath of fresh air. In spite of letting him know we were just checking out vehicles and not intending to by that day, he took a laid back, unhurried approach, answering all our questions, letting us test drive a vehicle and quoted us a firm price. A couple of days later I went back to put a down payment down, however Tom was not available. Mike followed through with the same unhurried approach and was able to find the vehicle I wanted at another dealer for no more that what was originally quoted. I hope their service dept has the same high standards.
Ronnie contacted me within a half hour of me putting in online that I was interested in the car. I have never bought a car and she helped me soooo much!. I had visted other dealers from Spurr, one in Dansville, and Farnsworth. She never pressured me to buy at all. After I decided to buy the car she worked with my parents to help find me the best interest rate I could get (3.65%). She contacted me after I bought the car while she was on vacation to ask and make sure I liked the car. I would recommend her to anyone. If you walk into that store go instantly to her!
I planned on buying this 2006 toyota tacoma from Dorschel Toyota when I viewed it on the internet. I was told over the phone what my trade was worth. But when I got there , they told me my frame was bad on my old truck(2001 trd tacoma) and Toyota would fix it for free. ( the salesman and sales Manager led me to believe that the vehicle wasnt worth any more whether they fixed it or not!) That was a big fat lie I later found out. Trucks like mine are retailing for 15000 in good condition. They only offered me $5500! Had I had it fixed anyone would have given me 10,000 in trade. The truck I purchased from them had all kinds of noise issues, road noise, engine noise, but the salesman came with me on the test drive and told me where to drive. (I’m not from the area) I didnt realize at the time he was just keeping the speed under 50mph so I wouldnt notice the issues. On top of all that, they never mentioned the sudden acceleration problem these trucks have. There was no pedal recall for the tacoma. (I still believe Toyotya is still lying about the whole issue and the problem is a computer glitch.) 3 days after purchasing the truck I asked them to take it back. They ignored my emails and calls.( I live 65 miles away) 6 days later I went back to the dealers. They said they sent in the title and couldnt do anything until they had the new title. Another lie. I have a new Silverado sitting in my driveway right now that I bought by trading in the tacoma WITHOUT the title at Bill Crams. I lost money in the trade but it was worth it to get rid of the low quality Toyota and not to ever have to deal with the unprofessional lowlifes at Dorschel again. Bill Crams in Seneca Falls is a great dealership, with salesman that try to get you the best deal they can.
These guys at Dorschel are exactly the type of people that give used car dealers a bad name. They sell junk for top dollar and give you the lowest possible amount for your trade, even if they have to lie about the condition to make the most amount of money for themselves. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this dealership, they are really crooked!
