The dealership itself is very friendly, including the sales rep I worked with, Rich.
I recently bought a new car and once I was transferred over to the finance rep, things got ugly. I was being forced into additional warranties and services that I did not need or want. I immediately tried to resolve the issue and after several days, I was finally refunded for an extended warranty that I did not want.
What leaves me feeling sick to my stomach is the Lojack deal.
I was told that the car came pre-installed with Lojack and that I could pay an additional $30/month to have it. I declined. I was then told that I could get it for $9/month, so I caved. Big mistake. I was charged an amount that was much higher than $9/month and when I questioned it, the finance rep got very nasty with me. He said that he already faxed over the product registration (I refused to register it on my own) and that there was nothing I could do. I’ve been in constant contact with Lojack and they have no record of any registration and don’t think I should be charged. I followed up with Greentree a few times and they got more and more hostile towards me. I was told that it was a hard sale and that I could not be refunded. Believe me, I will be taking this to a higher level and ultimately corporate if it’s not resolved.
Bottom line: Nice people, except for the finance department. If you must buy a car here, refuse all additional warranties and accessories, no matter what they try to tell you. I was deliberately mislead in more ways than one.
