Very good dealer. Bought a 13 Suzuki kizashi months ago. Mike was best salesperson I’ve has and this is my 18 vehicle purchase. When he couldn’t answer a question he was honest about needing to find out and promptly went to grab a manager who took ample time to make me feel at ease. This kind of personal attention has nearly disappeared at auto dealers.
I bought an 08 Toyota Tundra from Rapid Motors after I bought the truck they called me a few days later and said that my bank would not approve me. I told them that I would come in and talk to them. When I came in to talk to them I told them that I would just give them their truck back and I would take mine back and after I held my job for a few more months I would come in and try to make a deal with them. They then told me that I signed paper work saying that they could take the financing to any bank they wanted and I basically had no choice in the matter. Then after a few minutes of arguing about this they called the cops on me and had me escorted out of their building. After about a month of fighting over this they decided to give me my truck back if I paid for what they had into my old truck. I agreed to this when I came in they told me that they had 700 dollars into my old truck and asked how I wanted to pay for this. I said well first can I see the receipts before I pay 700 dollars. They told me that they didnt have the receipts but they would mail them to me. I told them that it was sketchy and they told me that they would not work with me then and kicked me out of their building. Since this day they have been giving me harassing phone calls and threatening that if I am even one day late on my payment that they will come repossess my truck. STAY AWAY FROM RAPID MOTORS!
I know of others who have had similar problems. I would like for anyone, including you, Nick, who has had issues like this, such as deals gone bad or extremely high pressure and/or intimidation techniques used on customers to contact me as soon as possible by e-mail as this appears to be an ongoing problem. Legal action including a possible class-action suit against Rapid Motors is being contemplated on behalf of persons similarly situated. I am not a lawyer. I can be contacted at [email protected] so please let me hear from you as soon as possible. THANKS! William
William, perhaps you could open a book and look up “salesperson “. Their function in life is to sell, not intimidate, an allegation that just makes me laugh at the ridiculous. As if you can actually threaten somebody into a purchase when they darkened your place of business’s door? Our customer service is the best in town. Show me One unhappy customer and I’ll show you 200 that absolutely love us. So make that extremely “short ” list of yours before you find something constructive to do with your time. And good luck in your lies and bologna.
As usual only the ignorant bother too post. Telling only the portion of a tale that benefits them. Too funny.
Why not add that the vehicle didn’t belong to RM And that it was a consigned vehicle.? Wait that wouldn’t fit the cause would it? Maybe we should have spent thousands of our dollars to “fix” your truck even tho it never belonged to us just to make it up. Better yet what about we just call it even between the consignor and yourself since you purchased the truck at $9500 below retail book!!! No value there I guess.
But still. All those forms that were signed about ” as is no warranty” ? A stamped and signed ” nothing owed, nothing promised”? And there is the extended service plan that is offered every-time without fail that wasn’t purchased either. ? Education is best policy.
Bought an ’04 Ford pickup and was promised many things including putting gas in it.
After all papers were signed they said they never said anything about gas. Isn’t it funny, I had to push the damn thing into the gas station as it ran out 10 yards away from one which was not even a mile from the dealorship.
That was problem number 1.
Problem number 2: The truck broke down 2 weeks after buying it. I called 3 to 4 times per day for an entire month to try to get a hold of someone in charge. I never got a return phone call. The dealership is 90 miles away and with out a running vehicle I could not just go there.
I wrote 2 letters with no response.
After owning the truck for nearly a year and after I spent $4,000 trying to fix the vehicle, the engine is finally seized. Things that broke on the vehicle “should” have triggered a “check Engine” light. (wonder if they were responsible for that).
If you are serious about buying a vehicle don’t even think about shopping at Rapid Motors in Rapid City, SD.
They lie to you and tell you whatever just to push that vehicle out the door. There is absolutely NO service after the sale-period!
I would appreciate it if you would contact me. I know of others who have had similar experiences with Rapid Motors. I understand that a class action lawsuit against Rapid Motors by people with similar experience is being contemplated. Being able to obtain your input and/or an affidavit about your negative experience with Rapid Motors would be useful in supporting the allegations made by others. I am not a lawyer, just a concerned person. Please contact me at [email protected] and I thank you in advance for your input.
