It’s been many years since I bought an ’84 900 Saab Turbo from Dennis. One day, I counted off 32 cars I’ve owned in my lifetime, foreign, domestic, new and used. I have to say this car was my absolute favorite. I ran it almost 300K miles. Sadly, as parts became scarce, I had to let her go. Dennis worked with me personally to find the right car. I used his service department as my primary go to guys when I needed them. They treated me with respect. They always resolved any issues, fairly and quickly. I hope they are still operating. I miss my 900 and I am thinking about a trip to Ligonier to visit them again. Of all the buying experiences I’ve had, Dennis Sweeney Saab met and exceeded my expectations. Good job guys. I’ve never had dealings so positive with any auto sales or repair shop, period.
I have used Dennis Sweeney for service only and he has been excellent. I have driven 2 hours each way to have my Saab 9-5 serviced there 5-6 times in the past 3 years so that proves how I value the service. The mechanic, Don, is a true Saab expert. He does maintenance and mods at below dealer rates and can offer a good selection of used parts if you prefer those. Not cheap, but reasonable and very capable.

Great place!
They work hard to make sure you are satisfied.
Have always been fair and honest.
My extended family and I have gone to Sweeney’s for almost 20 years of assorted and sundry “sobbin” Saabs. (You Saab owners out there know what I mean!!!) They have ALWAYS gone the extra mile to get things done right the first time. They have an extensive inventory of what is quaintly termed “road tested” parts. When they don’t have a used part available, they don’t gouge on prices. The labor rate is reasonable, and the service manager/mechanic (Don) is just top notch. If you call ahead for a larger job, they have a loaner vehicle available at no cost. As to my latest experience: Being the lone oddball in my family (I DIDN’T have a Saab) my Blazer bit the dust, and I finally gave in and joined the club. I got a very cherry ’97 9000. Great car, and when it does do the occasional hiccup, they take great care of me. Most recently, my pulley set and serp belt bit the dust, and as always, Don did his usual splendid work. Seriously, if you own a Saab and are within decent distance of Ligonier, PA, you owe it to yourself and your Saab to see these folks.
Don fixed what 2 other repair shops could not–I drove an hour and a half from Pittsburgh to diagnose the problem. *They fixed it perfectly–it drives like a brand new car. *I would recommend this shop in Ligonier,Pa very highly.
