Horrid customer service from the sales staff. Working a deal online for a vehicle and salesman and managers ignore all traffic and will not return calls. For a dealership that thrives in a military community you’d think they’d treat their customers with a little more respect. Avoid at all costs. Take your business to Boise!
After searching for several months for a used car within my price range, I was referred to Steven by my parents and found exactly what I was looking for. Steven was knowledgable, patient, and not pushy at all. He showed me everything that was in my price range, and let me driving all of the cars that I wanted to in order to make an informed decision. This is my first car buying experience from a dealer, and it’s been absolutely wonderful. I will definitely refer Steven to all of my friends and family, and will be a repeat customer in the future!
I walked in to the Mountain Home Auto Ranch for the first time in October of 2006, again in November when I brought my nephew in to meet Mike V., he purchased a car. I came in again in March 2007 and met with Mike V. and purchased a new Dodge Avenger. My husband and I came back in December 2009 and again sought Mike V. out in purchasing a great used Dodge Charger. I bring the cars back to the Auto Ranch for all regular scheduled maintenance and have never left feeling like I didn’t get my moneys worth. Everyone is always friendly and willing to help. My family will continue to seek out Mike V. at the Mountain Home Auto Ranch. Happy car customer Karen Azman
Just forgot to say that the managers were very nice too.:)
Mike Sr was very professional and helpful from the moment we walked in. We did not feel pressured from anyone at the store. Mike made us feel comfortable and answered all the questions we asked. If you are ever in need for a new or used vehicle I would recommend you ask for Mike Sr.
Barry and Marie from Twin Falls
He is very helpful, very efficient. He was helping me in a short time when I was there, very informative.
Mike Sr was a joy to deal with. No pressure! He asked me what I wanted, showed me exactly what I asked for and made it happen.
Manager, Joel Hess of the MountainHomeAutoRanch Service Dept. worked diligently to ensure my son’s vehicle was in excellent driving condition for his road trip on a hunting excursion. Despite the shops’ hectic, full schedule, they took great care to work us in on short notice and provided a thorough, comprehensive check on the vehicle. They’ve earned my business.
It definitely felt like home at the Ranch. Mike Jr and the entire management crew were very welcoming/friendly and very helpful. They were all awesome, and took good care of me in the purchase of my Dodge truck.
I was very surprised and happy with the treatment and service I received from the staff at MHAR. They gave me a good deal, helped w/ excellent financing and we received a very fair trade in value! I didnt think I could get into such a nice truck but they made it happen, and treated me with respect.
I stopped in at the MOUNTAIN HOME AUTO RANCH to look/buy a truck early Christmas Eve. The sales person that greeted was very nice. After driving the truck, we when inside to start talking price. The sales Manager was very rude, not to me, but to the sales person. The Sales Manager then told me, I had 5 mins. He took my info, ran my credit (without asking) and then told me, what my payments would be. I told him he needed to come down a little on the price due to bald tires and dent on bumper. He then told me, their vehicles were priced low and they had many repeat customers and he wasn’t going to lower the price. I have never been to a dealership that didn’t deal a little bit. So I left. Even though they are local, they will never receive my business ever again.

CUSTOMERS BEWARE! The mechanics at Mountain Home Auto Ranch are the sloppiest mechanics i have EVER dealt with! OH and just FYI…if you look up Mountain Home Auto Ranch in the Better Business Bureau, you will see that the rating they received is an F. 13 customers complaints were filed against them in the last 3 years and 8 of the 13 complaints have not been resolved. Here is my experience with them… On Feb 23, 2009 vehicle was brought in for transmission service, fluid flush and filter replacement. Service was complied with and documents state “Leaks no longer present.” Well, i drove the vehicle home that evening and found a puddle of transmission fluid under the engine the next morning. I immediately brought back the vehicle and complained about the leak again. Turns out that they did not tighten down a hose clamp after they serviced the system, so of course it pissed out fluid everywhere. On June 02,2009 vehicle was brought in to have brake pads & shoes replaced. MH Auto Ranch replaced the pads & shoes and also machined the rotors and drums. Service was completed and i picked up the vehicle later that day. On the way home, i tested the brakes and found them taking WAY TOO LONG to completely stop the car. On top of that, the brakes started squealing loudly after 1 hour of driving the car in town. Their brake job made the car very irritating & unsafe to drive. I took it back the next day and they said that the problem was the after-market pads & shoes that i bought from SCHUCKS were too thick (even though SCHUCKS ran the computer to find the match for my car). I ended up listening to the service advisor and went for the MOPAR pads & shoes and she said that she was going to tell the mechanic to make sure the brake job was PERFECT. What a bunch of CRAP! 1 Week after the brake job, brakes started squealing again! That same day MH Auto Ranch did the brake job, they found the coolant bypass housing to be leaking anti-freeze. Had them go ahead and fix that, but now, 5 months later, vehicle has the same coolant bypass housing leak problem. Oh and by the way, it’s STILL leaking transmission fluid under the hood! This very moment, the car is at the Larry Miller Chrysler dealership in Boise to fix what the Mountain Home Auto Ranch FAILED to repair. This is my first time dealing with Larry Miller and i’m hoping that they have better mechanics that will finally take care of these problems instead of just sucking me dry of my money.
