The reason I give one star here because there is no option for zero star. Bunch of liars and manipulators!! Don’t trust them!! I will definitely do not come to this dealership to purchase any cars anymore.
We have purchased a used 2006 VW Jetta this week from the salesman Tony; it was totally a nightmare for us. Here I will objectively describe what happened this week. We just want to buy a used car for commuter purpose. The salesman Tony showed us a used 2006 VW Jetta, it looks good, but with few not important issues (the reversing rada and trunk). We had a test drive on the regular road, did not find any mechanical problem. Because the banks were closed, so the deal didn’t finish on Saturday. So we decided to make the payment on next Monday. Tony told us he will in charge of these issues, the issues will be definitely fixed on Monday. After we went there to pay on Monday evening, Tony told us he forgot these issues even without saying sorry. So he told us he will definitely make the issues fixed on Wednesday. At that time, we thought these issues are not significant; couldn’t cause safety problems. We found the car shakes seriously when braking or accelerating on the way to home. It was really scary to us. So I wrote the Email to Tony to describe the problem on the car. He just said we can fix these issues on Wednesday. So we sent the car the dealer on Wednesday morning, they told me they will the let mechanics detect the issue, but it will costs some time. After one day, Tony informed me via Email they found the problem. I replied to Tony: where the origin of the issue from? I have lots of work to do, couldn’t come the dealer again and again. He just answered: Are you coming down this evening? I called him to ask “are they repair two other issues”, he just said no. So I came to the dealer to discuss with him on Friday morning, he said the issue from the Transmission, the total repair fee is 2000$! They only can pay 300$, I need to pay the rest. I thought this is actually not our fault; the car has the issue before we buy the car. So we refused to pay. At the same time, I suddenly found they even didn’t give to me the safety inspection certificate! I asked Tony to give us the certificate, but he could not find it. After Tony discussed with his boss again and again, he said they said they can exchange with another Nissan Car, I asked Tony what should I do if the car has the same issue? He just answered “I will be with you”. With us?? You even didn’t help us to fix these two small issues without apology, how can we trust you again. Tony asked his boss to discuss with us, his boss told us they didn’t do the safety inspection for this car, only emission inspection was performed (the emission fee is 67$). How could this be happen? The dealer does not check the safety problem before they sell the car to the customer???? At the end, we decided to end this unhappy deal at that time. So we sold the car to them, with 1200$ cheaper than we bought!!
They do not pay attention to the customers’ time and safety, what they want is the money!! I even suspect they made five stars reviews by themselves!
Scam artists!! Save yourself the headache and find a dealer that won’t rip you off. BE AWARE BUYERS!!
Did you purchase from the Dealership yes
I went in the dealership looking for a car and meet tony very nice and listen to what I wanted. I drive 5 different cars and he told me all about them. I like the jetta the most and went home to think about it. Tony call me up and let me know more about it and keep in touch for month. I went and got the car today and am very happy with Tony
My wife and I found a CPO car on the lot that we really liked. I asked the salesman for his best price and told I’m that I would like to shop around to make sure that I was getting the best deal. We were assured that the price that we had been quoted would still be the same when we came back. We returned to buy the car and were informed that we would not be able to purchase the car on the agreed upon price. The salesman was extremely rude and when we confronted him about his dishonesty he said that he did not want our business. Very Very unprofessional.
My wife and I called regarding an ADVERTISED lease on a CC. The lease promised $0 down and $289 a month plus applicable fees. We called on a Saturday afternoon to make sure the vehicle was avaiable and were assured they had “several that qualified for the lease”. My wife drove to the dealership the following Monday and after simply requesting the vehicle that was advertised, she was given the price of $1500.00 down and $350+ a month. My wife left the dealership after 2 hours. The salesman has been a constant caller for the last two days promising lower prices and lower down. We simply wanted a vehicle at the ADVERTISED price. The final call from the salesman offered the $0 down but asked for $305 a month on a better equipped vehicle. At this point we will ask the sales manager to stop all the harrasing calls. (“at $305 a month we were told they could do better, but they are in the business to make money and needed to leave some meat on the bones for them”.) We will not return, and that is a promise.
Number 1 car dealership.
Don’t be foolded.
The sales side is great and I would highly recommend Tony. But the service side is the worst in the business. Seems like Brad Strong is only in the business to sell cars, not provide service to his customers.
Was driving around looking to buy my daughter a Jaguar x. After my search and disapointment from shady price quotes and questionable cars! We drove in to strongs to check there vehicles. We walked around the parking lot looking at Vw’s. A salesman walked out to see if we had any questions. We test drove a few cars. But daughter was not interested. My wife noticed a new beetle convertable that was used in the parade this day and asked how much. The salesman quoted a price ! We countered his price $3500 less. He went in to check. Came back in and we ran numbers. We stuck to the offer after dealing with both salesman and salesmanager. After a call to The owner and 45 minutes later we had everthing wrapped up and my daughter was the proud owner of said vehicle. The salesman also through in some extra equipment. He was very thankful to us. He also explained how nobody wanted to come outside because it was about 5pm and felt they would not get a sale. Well it paid off for him and we got one hell of deal. I would highly recommend strong.
After explaining that I would be moving out of state to start a new 6 figure job, I asked the salesman, who asked the sales manager and finance manager if I would be approved to buy a new/used car despite not having a start date until about a week after the deal. If no, fine, I’d wait until after my move out of state; if yes, I’d buy a car from them if we could agree. Of course, they said no problem. Sooo, I spend over 8 hours approaching everything in good faith, providing info and agreeing on a touareg. At the last minute, the business manager tells me they can’t do the deal unless I give them a sizable deposit to hold the car and then, after I start my new job I can drive 9 hours back to pick up my car. When I reject this out of hand, expressed my displeasure over the way they wasted a large amount of my time, Shad (the sales manager who told me I could trust him because he does things differently than other dealers) begged me not to leave upset and promised to call the owner, Brad Strong, to get approval. He said to give him an hour and he would make this right. Never heard from him again. Bottom line, they knew there would be a snag, but schemed that if they could get me far enough into the deal and invested in the car, they could change the game and I’d still be ok with it. They showed callous disrespect and heartless gamesmanship while counting on their powers of persuasion to sucker me into a BS deal. I wholeheartedly recommend you to distrust this group, especially Shad. In our great capitalist system, the only way to change the bad behavior of a corporation is to not do business with them, which is what I vigorously recommend.
My experience here was terrific! Initially I went to adealership that plays a game where the salesman pretends to be your pal and amediator to charitably negotiate a price with the ‘boss.’ I found this to be both condescendingand insulting, so I read reviews online and decided to go to Strong VW. There I was fortunate to find TrentJensen, who was able to empathize with my frustrations and make the mostefficient use our time by giving me an awesome deal (compared it to the otherdealer and deals boasted in online forums relative to MSRP) on a new CC. If you want to be treated like anintelligent adult, go to Strong VW, otherwise be prepared to be taken for theride of a lifetime.

I had the best experience walking into a car dealership today at VW Strong. I am in the process of shopping for a new car after an accident with my old car. Waiting for the settlement has given me time to really shop around and make the right decision for me. I was greeted promptly By Gregory when walking into VW Strong. He was very patience with me and understanding when I told him my current situation. He walked me through the different models with great knowledge and detail. As well as my options for payments and what my best ways of purchasing would be once my settlement from my accident goes through. I was also taking care of by his associate Ricco who was extremely professional and personally took time to get to know my situation, my lifestyle to find the best fit for me. Once my settlement does go through it I decide to go with a VW or even one of their used cars that is not a VW. I will be happy to go back with the Strong family.
I am greatly appreciative of the true time they took to get to know me and my situation.
Cheers

Eric has a brain. He knows how to converse with his customers. He knows his products, procedures and dealership. Its a pleasure to work with him.
I went to many dealerships trying to trade my car and get another one. I was turned down by everyone besides Strong Volkswagen. They worked with me on everything. Trying to get me the best price for my trade in to getting me in a car. The sales people were the best. I recommend Strong Volkswagen to everybody
I went into Dave Strong and they were very nice. They let me look around the lot for a couple of minute before they greeted me. I like that because I hate when a salesman comes and greet me right when I get out of the car. When they did come out to talk to me. I talk to Eric and he new everything about VW's and It was nice to deal with someone profesional. I found the car I wanted and ask for a price and it only took 5 minutes to get a price and a payment. I told him I wanted to think about it and of course he try to get me to buy today but once I told him I wanted to think about it, the second time he back off. The next day I purchase my new Jeta. I love it and I would recommend this dealership to anyone. The best thing I like about the place is that they are easy going they don't ask for a lot of personal info from me until I agreed on a price.
I have bought many cars from Strong Volkswagon. The best thing about Strong Volkswagon is that they have employees that stick around and they have very little turn over with employees. I refer all my friends and family to Strong Volkswagon because they always take care of us.
I leased my second Jetta in row from Eric at Strong VW in December, and I’ve been very pleased with the car and the service. Strong’s doesn’t play the back-and-forth game like the other dealers, which makes the whole experience so much easier. I’m sure I’ll be back for another VW as soon as this lease expires.
We bought a new Jetta TDI from Larry Cutolo 7/4/2009 and we felt so good about our interaction that we just bought a Jetta 2.0T Wolfsburg Jetta from Larry 1/4/2010. He treated us fairly and we would refer anyone to Larry. Joe and Melanie
If you are thinking of purchasing a vehicle from Strong VW let me just leave you with a STRONG piece of advice…have that vehicle inspected inside and out and I’m talking with your trusted mechanic not theirs. The staff at this dealership only looks through the cars for about 30 mins and they only look for obvious safety issues (this I know because the General Sales Manager Mike told me personally). So don’t be surprised when you drive off the lot and soon find out that your hood flaps in the wind and your raditator support is cracked in 6 different places (oh but don’t worry it was glued back together hahaha). I guess the hood of your car not being secure because the entire inside support is damage is not consider a saftey issue.
What kind of dealership sells a $20,000 car in this condition and then acts like they have know idea what I’m talking about when I confront them with the issues. At least if they were going to try and cover up problems with a car they could take the time to do it right. Just remember the Volvo dealership is right down the street. I bet they would consider this as a saftey issue and wouldn’t have this vehicle on their lot or anyone else for that matter.
The car is now in much better condition after I put in about $2500.00 in repairs, countless trips back to the dealership for warrenty repairs, $200 in rental car fees and not to mention almost 2 weeks without my car. All of this before I ever made my first payment. So when you don’t want to spend the extra couple thousand on the car that you really want somewhere else, think twice because you probably will in the long run if you purchase it here. I should have drove the car right back to that dealership but man I got a hell of a deal on that car!!! What a sucker!!

I worked with the Internet Manager Matt Hansen and had a great buying experience. It was easy to communicate with him through emails and phone calls. He was very respectful of my time, extremely knowledgeable and sent photos and information quickly.
Matt made buying a car surprisingly easy and low stress. He treated my family well and made sure we knew about the features of the car.
I won’t hesitate to buy from Matt again and will happily refer others!
Thanks Matt!
The dealership can be described in a simple sentence “Bunch of cheats”… they do not deliver what they promise. I recently bought a used car from the dealership and before buying the car I was assured that the car has been thoroughly checked. But the car started having problems within a month or so and when I brought it to the dealership’s notice, the guys were rude. Just want to recommend – don’t buy the car from these cheats and even if you plan to buy – go for a thorough check.
I fully agree…
My experience also. The sales side is great and I would highly recommend Tony. But the service side is the worst in the business. Seems like Brad Strong is only in the business to sell cars, not provide service to his customers.
I’ve been a customer of Strong’s for over 8 1/2 years. I’ve bought 3 vehicles and currently still own two from there. Eric Gustavson, in sales, is always willing to answer any question about new cars or trade-ins, even when I’m not in the market for anything new. All of the guys in Service have been great and have kept my cars running perfectly. I live close to a couple other dealers, but have found that the sales and service at Strong’s just can’t be beat anywhere else.
We bought a used Jetta from them 3 months ago and the troubles dont stop. The brakes were the first to go, followed by the AC and the lights. I wonder what they mean by “110 point” checkup if they don’t even check the basics. Needless to say their phony warranty didnt cover anything. What’s the point in going to an established dealer if they can’t stay by their inventory even for the 1st month ? The first week when we called them to tell about the problems, we were answered very rudely and told not to call if we cannot pay! I think buying a used car from a smaller dealer is a wiser choice. Atleast u don’t have to deal with a snobbish one
After looking at several other cars from other dealers we decided to choose Strong VW to purchase our beautiful 2006 VW Passat. Our sales associate Larry Cutolo was informative and knowledgeable about the products he was selling. There was no pressure to buy and the vehicles they carried were high end and well taken care of. I would recommend to my friends and family to shop Strong WV. They are willing to change the sticker price on a car so it will fit your budget. A+++ Dealership!
Devin has always gone above and beyond to work on my car. It is getting old and has a lot of miles they always make sure that it is in good repair and that I am happy and safe. My service tech is awesome too. They always get me in fast. 😀
I worked with Eric though the internet and he gave me a price, and I shopped it around and another dealership said they can beat it out, and when I went into the other dealership they couldn’t. So, I bought from Eric at Strong VW and I wish I never went to Southtowne VW because they are liars.
The reason I give one star here because there is no option for zero star. Bunch of liars and manipulators!! Don’t trust them!! I will definitely do not come to this dealership to purchase any cars anymore.
